Excellent trip in the "low season" (July)

We did the 7 night "Best of Maledives " trip in July and we had a great time. We were very lucky with the weather, sunny days and calm seas, not too much current on most dives. Visibility was hit and miss, but even in lower vis it was great diving. We weren't lucky with a Whaleshark sighting, but we had an amazing Manta night dive. Food and crew were great, the other passengers were nice people, too, which made for a pleasant trip. One negative was that we often had the Sister ship Emperor Leo show up at the same dive sites around the same time, which made for some crowded diving and I'd like to think that this can be managed better.

FInally being there, we were waiting from a 2020 booking!! the Mantas were great. It was nice to have time to also look at the small things.

Amazing to see and swim with Mantas

It was great to walk to the back of the boat one night and see 3 mantas swimming around at the back followed by mobular ray. Awesome to swim with some friendly nurse sharks. Very healthy, nutritious array of breakfast, lunch, teatime snacks and dinner. So tasty, large selection and always a nice surprise from the helpful/creative kitchen staff :)

Great week but here’s some things you should know first

Although the diving staff were grumpy, rude and non-enthusiastic, the guests banded together and made the trip what it was. highlights were: the diving, the food and the boat setup

The diving was consistently fantastic. The food was exceptional and the diving dhoni was a great way to dive.

It was a wonderful trip. The guides were very helpful. I was able to see what I was hopeful of seeing and more. Guides were able to show us all the best places. The whole trip was very well organised. Only comment is the room and bathroom were stuffy.

Excellent Liveaboard!... great diving and friendly, knowlegeable and professional Dive Guides

Well aside from some simply awesome diving, the Dive Guides were helpful and friendly and enhanced the experience by sharing their considerable knowledge and experience through excellent briefings! The crew were very friendly and made the trip very comfortable...always willing to help. The variety and quality of the food exceeded expectations! The perfect diver's liveaboard!!

The best diving trip I have ever been on by a long way.

Fantastic diving. Collection at Male airport stressful and messy and it is not a great place to wait 12 hours for a flight. Although there were 20 divers on board, there was plenty room in the public spaces so it didn't feel overcrowded. It was a bit awkward with the crew not having any cabins of their own because if you get up early for a coffee you disturb them sleeping in the lounges. The crew were friendly and helpful. The other divers were also fun to be with.
