A great all round experience
I have been on several liveaborads before but this was the best experience i have ever had. An absolutely magical liveaboard trip
I enjoyed that trip a lot. I always felt safe - on board and underwater. The cruise director Elsa did an amazing job. Everything was super well organized. Seeing the whalsharks at Saleh Bay and visiting the dragons was my highlight.

I can't recommend Mermaid II highly enough. My wife and I enjoyed the seven- night cruise immensely. The stuff we're engaging, highly professional, and very the knowledgeable as each of the pre-dive briefings demonstrate. Amazing diving, life and people
Amazing diving in Komodo aboard the Mermaid II. Diving was everything you could ask for and more. The dive guides were attentive, knowledgable and able to find incredible life on our dives while prioritizing everyone's safety. Easily the most comfortable boat I've ever been on including comforts such as a clean towel after every dive and hot chocolate after returning from night dives. The cruise director Luca went above and beyond to ensure an amazing experience for all on board. We had an amazing group on board and made several great friends. Hoping to return soon for another trip on the Mermaid II!

Top notch service in the best diving destination
The crew members and dive masters were super friendly and professional. All dive masters try to show the best of Raja Ampat to divers all the time (e.g. pigmy seahorse). The food and dessert was delicious and abundant as well. Very nice air conditioned cabins and salon.

Wonderful diving on a great boat.
I did the Lembeh, Una Una, Togians trip which was a nice mix of dives with some big stuff, whale sharks and lots of nice reef diving plus some muck dives in Lembeh. The boat is very well equipped with a good coffee machine! The rooms are of good size and the en-suite although small had a hot shower. The food is good and plentiful, and there are cold beers and wine available. The dive deck is of reasonable size through might be a bit crowded with a full boat. Dive masters and crew were great. Overall it’s a very well organised boat that I’d definitely recommend.

We felt very comfortable and welcome during the week on the Mermaid II. The crew was super nice and helpful, we could learn a lot from our guide underwater (especially when it comes to macro finding and photography) and the atmosphere on the ship was very good (the live music in the afternoon from the crew was great :)). Great nice people, funny conversations and delicious food, what more could you want. The ship was kept very clean, the equipment was perfectly prepared and always looked after. All in all, a successful trip. Thank you for that!

Mermaid II Sets Very High Standards for Liveaboards
This was my first liveaboard and it could not have been done better. The trip had a lot of variety in the dive sites with so many bizarre and beautiful critters throughout, from the alien-like animals in the muck to the giant sardine tornado. A lot of the sites had so many different schools of fish that they didn't even need high ticket item sightings to make the dives memorable and amazing. Luca gave very good briefings leaving you prepared for each sight, and was also very funny and made the whole experience very fun for everyone. Ana was a very attentive and kind guide, and she made me feel as comfortable and safe as possible in confronting my first current dives. I almost got swept away but she was at my side immediately and guided me with such ease. After two current dives I felt so much more comfortable. She also asked us what we wanted to see and was able to spot everything - even though nature cannot guarantee everything! The boat divides everyone into small groups so you feel really safe and aren't overcrowded. It was great to see guides helping each other underwater to make sure each group got to see some of the most sought after sightings too. The boat was also very comfortable thanks to the crew's amazing service. They handled everything and made you feel like royalty. Everyone was super friendly.

An amazing experience
This was our second time aboard the Mermaid having previously visited Komodo in 2014. That trip was amazing and would have been hard to beat but this was just as good, if not better. Nothing is ever a chore for the wonderful crew, so friendly and helpful. The dive guides were fantastic especially our guide Ketut who really looked after us. All the dives were planned in advance and we went to the best sites. Very clear briefings and safety was always front of mind. The boat is really well maintained and stocked. Everything is organised to the finer details and is like a well oiled machine meaning you're never left waiting. The food is incredible, the best we've had on a liveaboard. The Mermaid really sets the bar.

The Best!
The crew on this trip is over the top! They pay attention to your every need. We were so spoiled. They set up our tanks, assisted in getting us in and out of gear and took our wet suits from us as soon as they were off to get them rinsed and hanging before the next dive. Best yet they did it all with huge smiles. It truly seems like the crew is having a great time while they work. I brought my regulator mask and fins but rented a BC and wet suit both of which were in great condition! I also took the Nitrox certification class while on board which was easy to do around the diving and I’m so happy I did! Komodo can be known for its crazy currents and I was a little apprehensive not having the experience with hooking in before. I felt so safe on board this boat. My dive master Allo, made me feel so secure and found us so many creatures I never would have seen with out him. Dive briefings were thorough and the crew made everything so efficient. They dive with 4 people per DM so you don’t feel crowded but you feel looked after. The cruise director Sara did an excellent job of relaying all information, being an extra Instructor the water on big current dives and making everyone feel at home. The food was great and we never felt hungry! This was an excellent trip! This was my first live aboard but listening to the others who had been on many, this crew and food were the best. I will be back and will follow Mermaid II to each of their destinations!! Thank you!!

Exceptional liveaboard experience.
First and formost, the diving was simply exceptional throughout the trip. The corals in Raja Ampat are pristine and varied and the colours amazing. The fish life was superb with great variety and plentiful schools ... some great manta dives also! Dive staff were very friendly and professional, and added to the whole experience. Boat crew were fantastic also and overall was an exceptional liveaboard.

Fantastic team spirit
See above. The diversity and superabundance of the fish and coral life is beyond description. We were lucky to have lots of sunshine and calm seas too, though there were strong currents in some places - the full moon rising as we got ready for our night dives was an awesome sight. The great synergy between the all the guests and the crew on this trip also made this a very memorable trip for us. Keep up the great teamwork!! We'll be back!

Had a great week diving with mermaid II and the crew
The diving in komodo has something for everybody. Bigger things like mantas and sharks to corals and macrodiving. The crew on the boat made the experience ten times better. Always greeting us with a smile and cheers after every dive. The diving groups are small which gives the possibility to discuss preferences with your dive guide. The land visit made a nice break from the boat life, and we were lucky to see a handful of komodo dragons on our visit. Would recommend everybody to do a trip with Mermaid II.

Iconic Manta Alley and Whale sharks await you.
Loved the trip, but I had difficulty on the tougher current dives, mainly due my age to push through the currents to hook on points. The natural beauty of the areas we travelled through were a real highlight together with the gorgeous sunsets.

Excellent trip, would repeat!
Had such a great time on this liveaboard. The entire crew provided amazing service, always going above and beyond to be helpful and courteous. On dives, the guides were reliable and fast in spotting tinny critters doing interesting things. The food was good with plenty of variety. Overall it was super fun, and I’d definitely do it again. 10/10 recommend.
