Highlights
The Carpe Novo is the largest yacht of the Carpe Diem fleet offering year-round diving in the Maldives. 12 comfortable cabins spread over 3 decks cater to 22 guests onboard. The Junior Suites, located on the upper deck, have double or twin beds and ocean views. The 6 standard cabins located on the lower deck have either one queen-size bed and a single bed or two single beds. There are also two single suites located on the main deck, ideal for solo travelers. Also on the main deck is the large air-conditioned salon with panoramic views, flat screen TV, entertainment system and library. The upper deck serves freshly prepared dishes at the al-fresco dining table so guests can enjoy the stunning views and sea air. The sun deck has plenty of padded loungers and a partially shaded seating area for tanning in between dives or enjoying a sunset cocktail.
Itineraries on Carpe Novo cover some of the Maldives' best dive sites. The classical routes are 7-10 nights long and explore the Male, Ari, Vaavu and Rasdhoo atolls to name a few. The Deep South trips are for more experienced divers who will be rewarded with hammerhead encounters and thrilling channel diving. Diving takes place from the dedicated dive dhoni (boat) which is fully equipped to give divers all the space they need for kitting up, gear storage, and rinsing. There is also a dedicated camera room with charging ports and a dry area for changing batteries and memory cards, so you don't miss out on the action.

Maldives Magic - great diving trip!
Dive boat was comfortable, though one of the oldest I have been on (over 15 liveaboard experiences). Meals were good and hot water was available in showers after night dives! - I appreciated having a dedicated camera room and the separate dive boat was very comfortable (wide and plenty of room) We had 16 passenger on boat - so was a comfortable number of divers and my dive group consisted of 4 + guide.

- Diving conditions were great - completed 18 dives over the 7 days.. Dove with 12+ mantas in open ocean and then next to whale sharks - fantastic!. Dive guides worked hard to find the best conditions for viewing sharks, mantas, and whale sharks..

Great time did 18 dives seen loads of huge Manta rays eagle rays sharks moray eels some Dolphins Turtles octopus and a nice wreck dive too, Boat and crew were great and the food superb.

If you want to visit the Maldives a liveaboard is the perfect way to get to know the country - the underwater world which is one of the most interesting attractions of the country, but you can also see a lot of islands from the boat and understand the geography of the Maldives better - combine it with some short visits of the cities and islands like Male etc. and stay a few days in a nice remote resort and it will be a perfect holiday

Amazing Experience and Stay
I went on a different liveaboard in the Maldives eight years ago, and I had such a great impression of the trip because we were blessed with perfect weather. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t as good on this trip, but despite that, it turned out to be an even more memorable and wonderful experience. All of the guides were incredibly friendly, and they did an amazing job finding not only manta rays, but also the whale sharks we were hoping to see. I couldn’t have been happier with the diving. And on top of that, every meal was absolutely delicious. It really was an amazing week from start to finish. I would definitely recommend this trip to others, and more than anything, I’d love to come back again in a different season!

would definitely go again maybe south next time
5 stars for everything except the dive team. My dive guide Naveen was happy to make his group of guests wait for him to take macro shots whenever it suited him. When questioned became defensive and responded unprofessionally, dive boss could've done better to fix the situation. The rest of the guides were amazing. when i changed groups and went to Rio, he was great Everything else was fantastic. Who goes to the Maldives for Macro????
