The Carpe Novo is the largest yacht of the Carpe Diem fleet offering year-round diving in the Maldives. 12 comfortable cabins spread over 3 decks cater to 22 guests onboard. The Junior Suites, located on the upper deck, have double or twin beds and ocean views. The 6 standard cabins located on the lower deck have either one queen-size bed and a single bed or two single beds. There are also two single suites located on the main deck, ideal for solo travelers. Also on the main deck is the large air-conditioned salon with panoramic views, flat screen TV, entertainment system and library. The upper deck serves freshly prepared dishes at the al-fresco dining table so guests can enjoy the stunning views and sea air. The sun deck has plenty of padded loungers and a partially shaded seating area for tanning in between dives or enjoying a sunset cocktail.
Itineraries on Carpe Novo cover some of the Maldives' best dive sites. The classical routes are 7-10 nights long and explore the Male, Ari, Vaavu and Rasdhoo atolls to name a few. The Deep South trips are for more experienced divers who will be rewarded with hammerhead encounters and thrilling channel diving. Diving takes place from the dedicated dive dhoni (boat) which is fully equipped to give divers all the space they need for kitting up, gear storage, and rinsing. There is also a dedicated camera room with charging ports and a dry area for changing batteries and memory cards, so you don't miss out on the action.

Superb experience in a magical setting
Fabulous trip on a very well maintained boat, with a very nice crew, quality food, a very friendly and professional diving management team, magnificent seabed. Some spots are a bit overcrowded, but most of the spots are really pretty and you don't meet many diversTo choose without hesitation.

Fabulous week for macro and pelagics
Had a great week of diving. Very lucky with the sea life and whale sharks were the highlight. Overall the crew were top class who were ready to help whenever required. Accommodation was very spacious and clean.

Fabulous diving in Maldives abord Carpe Novo
This is my best liveaboard experience. The boat is large and very comfortable with ample indoor and outdoor common spaces. The rooms and bathrooms are also very spacious and larger than some on land hotel rooms! The diving in Maldives is excellent - varied and lots of sea life from manta rays to whale sharks and everything in between. The channel dive was and exhilarating. Some of the dives had very strong currents, so this is not suitable for a beginner diver.

Amazing Experience and Stay
I went on a different liveaboard in the Maldives eight years ago, and I had such a great impression of the trip because we were blessed with perfect weather. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t as good on this trip, but despite that, it turned out to be an even more memorable and wonderful experience. All of the guides were incredibly friendly, and they did an amazing job finding not only manta rays, but also the whale sharks we were hoping to see. I couldn’t have been happier with the diving. And on top of that, every meal was absolutely delicious. It really was an amazing week from start to finish. I would definitely recommend this trip to others, and more than anything, I’d love to come back again in a different season!

Mantas, mantas, mantas!!
Was excellent in every regard. Food was always very good and the cabins were cleaned multiple times a day. Diving was excellent, guides know the best spots and how to tackle them to get the best experience. E.g. night dive in feshdoo lagoon with many mantas, cleaning station, whalesharks in the night etc. Had the best manta encounters in my life - thank you very much!!

We will recommend this live aboard to friends anytime, expectations were well exceeded.
The congregation of stingrays and sharks near Male was impressive, loved watching the Mantas at the cleaning station with garden eels below, being surrounded by nurse sharks (and others) was supercool, the whalesharks feeding at night in Ari Atoll was definitely a highlight, ghost pipe fish in corals were very exciting, frogfish, leaf fish, turtles, cannot list it all. snorkeling with 40-50 Mantas in Hanifaru bay topped it all. Loved the night dive at yellow wall. The crew were very kind, attentive and supportive. I appreciated the surprise birthday decorations and cake to share with other divers. That was really unexpected. The food was outstanding throughout the trip. The boat and Dinghy were always clean. The crew put tremendous effort into a beautiful beach dinner and setting on an island. The food again was incredible. We also appreciated clean towels for after diving every day. I likely forgot other highlights. Bottom line: absolutely loved the trip with Carpe Novo and crew.
