Highlights
The Carpe Novo is the largest yacht of the Carpe Diem fleet offering year-round diving in the Maldives. 12 comfortable cabins spread over 3 decks cater to 22 guests onboard. The Junior Suites, located on the upper deck, have double or twin beds and ocean views. The 6 standard cabins located on the lower deck have either one queen-size bed and a single bed or two single beds. There are also two single suites located on the main deck, ideal for solo travelers. Also on the main deck is the large air-conditioned salon with panoramic views, flat screen TV, entertainment system and library. The upper deck serves freshly prepared dishes at the al-fresco dining table so guests can enjoy the stunning views and sea air. The sun deck has plenty of padded loungers and a partially shaded seating area for tanning in between dives or enjoying a sunset cocktail.
Itineraries on Carpe Novo cover some of the Maldives' best dive sites. The classical routes are 7-10 nights long and explore the Male, Ari, Vaavu and Rasdhoo atolls to name a few. The Deep South trips are for more experienced divers who will be rewarded with hammerhead encounters and thrilling channel diving. Diving takes place from the dedicated dive dhoni (boat) which is fully equipped to give divers all the space they need for kitting up, gear storage, and rinsing. There is also a dedicated camera room with charging ports and a dry area for changing batteries and memory cards, so you don't miss out on the action.

Just perfect great mix of diving & relaxing.
Felt so well looked after start to finish & had a great holiday! The staff were amazing under & out of water and the boat was very comfortable. Food was much better than i ever exspected!

A great diving trip. I signed up last minute and had an experience exceeding expectation. Met wonderful fellow divers and the dive guides are also very professional and helpful. Everything is well organized and the room is quiet spacious for a boat.

Great for first live-aboard 101 experience
The dive guides were extremely professional and attentive. They truly focused on finding big marine life while also adjusting the itinerary flexibly to ensure the best possible experience for the guests. The food on board was surprisingly good — much better than expected. The menu was thoughtfully planned based on the nationalities of the guests on board, and we even had freshly caught fish from sea fishing, prepared into delicious seafood dishes. The overall experience was excellent. The newly added Starlink internet was also a huge plus and worked amazingly well. If I ever come back to the Deep South route again, Carpe Novo will definitely be my first choice.

Great food, exceptional crew, amazing trip!
We had an incredible 8-days on Carpe Novo. Our biggest concern for a trip like this is always the quality of the food, and on that point we couldn't have been happier. The meals were all delicious, with a great variety throughout the cruise. We were also onboard for Christmas, and the crew went above-and-beyond to provide an amazing Christmas Eve feast (literally a feast, it was unreal!). Aside from the food, the entire crew was exceptionally accommodating and friendly. From the dive guides to the barman to the cabin boy, everyone was always friendly and ready to help with any request. On the diving side of things, we felt that all of the guides were very professional and experienced. Thorough briefings, and well planned dives for the whole trip. The boat also has Starlink internet, which made it easy to share dive videos and stay connected with family / friends (an extra bonus, as our trip spanned the Christmas holiday). Couldn't recommend Care Diem cruises enough, and we're already looking at booking another!

Amazing trip
What an amazing trip! Maldives is always the best, and Carpe Novo was best choice for me. There are very well experienced guides and friendly crews on the board👍they are all Madivians, so they know the ocean of Maldives really well, guess this is so important fact to take a trip with Deep south in Maldives. Foods were so nice. I will choose Carpe series again for next Maldive trip.

It made me want to do more liveaboards in the future
It was my first liveaboard, it met and exceeded my expectations. The boat was great, spacious and modern. the crew was fantastic and the diving was great as well. It will defenitely not be my last liveaboard!

A very comfortable boat to explore the Maldives with a great team!
Had a great week on Carpe Novo - ate like a queen with fresh fruits daily and a couple times even had fresh-caught sashimi on the boat! Prasanna, the barman, did an excellent job learning everyone's needs and communicating about specifics at mealtimes. The room and bathroom (booked shared twin room, stayed in "Turtle" room) were much larger than expected with perfect AC, and the new/updated boat is likely reflected in the cost of the trip - which I found fair but not cheap. Diving was as expected for the region with a lot of fish life, mantas, and sharks, even if we weren't lucky enough to find whale sharks. Dive guides were mixed in experience based on discussion with other guests, but personally, I had a great time: Zinah was my group's guide throughout the trip and was competent, a strong leader (was also dive lead), and one of the most anticipatory/observant underwater dive guides I've ever had. He communicated with other boats in the area and made dive plans/schedules to avoid the crowds as much as possible; underwater, he has a great eye for macro things and significant skill at managing individual divers' needs to maximize everyone's experience. He notices the little things and fixes them before they become big things. Would not hesitate to dive with him again and would highly recommend this impressive individual! Overall, the whole team and boat worked well together and were always seen working - cleaning, fishing, coordinating, and planning - the trip ran so smoothly and without a hitch and customer service was 5/5! Would dive on this boat again.
