Highlights
The Carpe Novo is the largest yacht of the Carpe Diem fleet offering year-round diving in the Maldives. 12 comfortable cabins spread over 3 decks cater to 22 guests onboard. The Junior Suites, located on the upper deck, have double or twin beds and ocean views. The 6 standard cabins located on the lower deck have either one queen-size bed and a single bed or two single beds. There are also two single suites located on the main deck, ideal for solo travelers. Also on the main deck is the large air-conditioned salon with panoramic views, flat screen TV, entertainment system and library. The upper deck serves freshly prepared dishes at the al-fresco dining table so guests can enjoy the stunning views and sea air. The sun deck has plenty of padded loungers and a partially shaded seating area for tanning in between dives or enjoying a sunset cocktail.
Itineraries on Carpe Novo cover some of the Maldives' best dive sites. The classical routes are 7-10 nights long and explore the Male, Ari, Vaavu and Rasdhoo atolls to name a few. The Deep South trips are for more experienced divers who will be rewarded with hammerhead encounters and thrilling channel diving. Diving takes place from the dedicated dive dhoni (boat) which is fully equipped to give divers all the space they need for kitting up, gear storage, and rinsing. There is also a dedicated camera room with charging ports and a dry area for changing batteries and memory cards, so you don't miss out on the action.

A great diving trip. I signed up last minute and had an experience exceeding expectation. Met wonderful fellow divers and the dive guides are also very professional and helpful. Everything is well organized and the room is quiet spacious for a boat.

A very comfortable boat to explore the Maldives with a great team!
Had a great week on Carpe Novo - ate like a queen with fresh fruits daily and a couple times even had fresh-caught sashimi on the boat! Prasanna, the barman, did an excellent job learning everyone's needs and communicating about specifics at mealtimes. The room and bathroom (booked shared twin room, stayed in "Turtle" room) were much larger than expected with perfect AC, and the new/updated boat is likely reflected in the cost of the trip - which I found fair but not cheap. Diving was as expected for the region with a lot of fish life, mantas, and sharks, even if we weren't lucky enough to find whale sharks. Dive guides were mixed in experience based on discussion with other guests, but personally, I had a great time: Zinah was my group's guide throughout the trip and was competent, a strong leader (was also dive lead), and one of the most anticipatory/observant underwater dive guides I've ever had. He communicated with other boats in the area and made dive plans/schedules to avoid the crowds as much as possible; underwater, he has a great eye for macro things and significant skill at managing individual divers' needs to maximize everyone's experience. He notices the little things and fixes them before they become big things. Would not hesitate to dive with him again and would highly recommend this impressive individual! Overall, the whole team and boat worked well together and were always seen working - cleaning, fishing, coordinating, and planning - the trip ran so smoothly and without a hitch and customer service was 5/5! Would dive on this boat again.

Awesome trip!
We had an awesome time on the Carpe Novo and would repeat in a heartbeat! Our first time in the Maledives and definitely not the last time, great diving! Service was incredible, you didn't even notice how and when they did it but everything you could think of was always prepared. You come back on board after the early morning dive and they are just carrying out of the kitchen the first plates of scrambled eggs :-) Dive guides really nice and knowledgeable and we were lucky to have awesome fellow guests, really good group of people. The standard of the boat is really high, cabins extremely spacious and the bathroom as luxurious as in a hotel - you wouldn't even think you're on a boat when you enter your cabin. The food was great, there was always a good mix of european and local cuisine and everything well prepared. They frequently caught fishes during the day and prepared sashimi for dinner - just awesome! Prices for drinks very reasonable (not like what I've heard from the Maledive resorts). All in all we had the best time and can only recommend! Big thumbs up!

We enjoyed the trip a lot!
We did a 10 day trip with Carpe Novo, and we really satisfied! The diving was mostly amazing - we saw mantas, sharks on every dive, a whale shark. We also visited some beautiful reefs to look for macro life, but that wasn’t the focus. The dive guides and the whole crew were very friendly and made our experience on board really wonderful. The food was amazing, with a good combination of local and international dishes. We had some divers who were on that boat a couple of years ago, and they pointed out that everything was renovated and is brand new. We would recommend that boat and that company for sure, as we had a great time with them 🤩

It made me want to do more liveaboards in the future
It was my first liveaboard, it met and exceeded my expectations. The boat was great, spacious and modern. the crew was fantastic and the diving was great as well. It will defenitely not be my last liveaboard!

Such an amazing liveaboard experience
As it was my First liveaboard experience, I did not know what to expect. I have had such an amazing time. Everything is so well organised. The service is similar to being in a five star hotel. My fellow divers were so friendly. Crew is always trying to make you happy. I will definitely recommend and come back!
