Great trip
First time doing 4 dives a day on a liveaboard, had a great time. Boat staff was on top of keeping the boat clean and in good shape, making good food, and being generally friendly. Dive staff was all super helpful all around and tried hard to make sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying themselves. Only down side was that some of the dive sites were crowded due to other boats diving at the same time. The diving was still pretty great though as far as marine life. Would recommend.

Awesome dive trip
This is our first live aboard and it exceeded our expectations. Can't speak for other dive masters, but ours was Kawalyn who was great. She made sure to ask us how we like to dive and tried to adjust to our style. Kwan, who was in charge, was awesome as well and really did everything in her power to make sure everyone had a good time. Weather prevented us for making to the Richelieu rock, and was more murky and choppy than ideal, but the abundance of sea life is amazing. Food was a cherry on top - extraordinary

I never believed I could do 4 dives in a day!
I got over my fear of night dives. Kwan prepared us well in the briefing before the night dive. The octopus and big jellyfish. My kind dive master Frank who was always willing to help me set my dive computer.

Very nice and kind crew
Would recommend the following adjustments 1. Serve Thai food as the crew had the best food. All foreigners eat continental breakfast don’t want that when in Thailand. 2. Guides could help give more feedback to divers as so many have advanced but are far far from it and could use lots of tips. Some basic rules and principles could be followed as even though PADI now pushes out certifications doesn’t mean can’t help people who need it. Don’t worry about being offensive as it will help them and others in long run.

Our first but definitely not our last liveaboard!
Wide array of new marine wildlife that the divemasters always helped us to learn by showing us what we saw in the photo books and teaching us the hand signals for them so we could be on the lookout on future dives. Community time with the other guests - all were friendly and we all got along very well Despite all being from different places - England, US, Korea, China, Norway, and the crew was from all over the world as well. Resting on the top deck between dives (thank you for the two hour surface intervals!).

- 1) The divemasters: first, there was a small divemaster to diver ratio - we had 4 people in our group and most other groups had the same And the divemasters really got to know us and our strengths and weaknesses and tried to help us become better divers by giving us feedback on how to do things better; 2) Delicious, fresh prepared food and snacks (the coffee was so good we exceeded our normal daily intake!); 3) the rest of the boat crew worked tirelessly to make our experience top notch - helping us don our gear for every dive, pulling us out of the water when there was waves, coming to get us in teh zodiac, keeping everything dry and clean in general - they were all friendly and quick to help.
Awesome team leader and dive masters for a friendly and lively atmosphere, despite rough weather and conditions

Great Crew, Hospitality and Service But Diving was just Ok
Diving at Richelaliu Rock was the highlight. We repeated the same dive 3 times which I found unnecessary. Trip could have been a day shorter for how many repeat dives we had. Food was great and things like snacks, beer and medicine was readily available. The dive masters were well-qualified and kept manageable group sizes. I always felt safe and that they were doing their best to make the dives fun. Unfortunately, most of the dives we did had coral bleaching or damage from the 2002 tsunami, which is of course out of their control. But for the length of the trip and the reputation of the Similian Islands being some of the best diving in Southeast Asia, I had higher expectations.

Phenomenal Experience
This live aboard was amazing. The boat is in great condition with comfortable amenities. The food was delicious and catered to all dietarles. The crew were second to none. V experienced/knowledgeable divers that made each dive run smoothly and safely. The dive sites were excellent - good corals, lots of fish, some rays, etc. There is no wifi on the boat, but I had cell reception 75% of the time. The Surin Islands were out of range.

I absolutely loved diving Richelieu Rock. I was completely caught up in astonishment by the amount of fish we were seeing during our dives there, and even got to witness two moray eels fight for territory. That was a first!! Great trip, great crew
Very interesting diving spots, but should be recommended rather to advanced divers (depth, currents). A reef mayby not the best, but great rocks and diversity of sealife. The sea were not very calm even in high season, so people with seasickness can have some problem (there is a long distance between the diving spots). Because of wind, we did not manage to get to Richelieu Rock. We had a standard cabin on the lower deck, and our private bathroom did not smell well, especially in the morning we had dirty water on the floor. Everything else was perfect. The whole boat was confortable, with a lot of space. The crew extremely helpful and friendly. Very good food. A lot of diving.

Excellent Liveaboard experience
The organisation on the boat was excellent. The comfort in the cabin was far better than expected. (Double cabin for myself & my partner) The bathroom was roomy too. A big plus was an excellent cook. I have food allergies and so did many others and the cook catered 100% for everyone. I had heard from other liveaboards that food was limited and you had to be quick. On this liveaboard this was not the case. Enough food for everyone and very tasty. Every dive site had something different for you to look at and the Dive guides knew exactly where to go to see new and exciting things. Recommend West Coast Divers to anyone booking a liveaboard.

Absolutely the best liveabaord experience
I was at the Similans 12 years ago and the coral (as all over the world) was much better in those days, nevertheless diving at the Similans is still great and the best in Thailand. Richelieu Rock is still as I remembered, beautiful hard and soft coral ans loads of fish, the absolute highlight of the trip!

Everything was very well organized. The groups were small for each divemaster (3-5 persons). The dive masters know very well the places where we dived and it was everything very safe. We saw tons and tons of fishes, huge school of them. We saw sharks, whale shark, turtle, moreas, manta shrimps , barracudas, lobsters, etc... Besides, we could see some dolphins smwimming close to the boat on the last day. It was really perfect!!! The leader Kwan is an amazing person!!!

amazing first experience of liveaboard
Every dive, there is something to be astonished. Diverse marine life, beatiful corals, sometimes strong current and surge, temperature changes that make the dives more interesting. Richelliu rock was the highlight, there is everything. Sadly, we missed the whale shark and manta but that would be the reason to come back. Enthusiastic insturctors were very helpful every moment, thanks to the video they showed us on the last night. Many thanks to the boat boys and the chef as well. Food was great and the boat was very comfortable
I loved the liveaboard itself. Everybody was very kind and the boat was in a very good condition. I felt comfortable on the boat. In most of times when i go diving, I can not eat. But in sawadi fasai, food was so good so that i can eat happily. Only thing I was a bit disappointed was visibility of the sea was not good. And inside of the water, there are too many divers so divers bumped each other. Because there are so many people, it seems watching whale shark is impossible.

Fabulous 4 days / 4 nights trip!
We had a brilliant dive trip on the Sawasdee Fasai. The crew is super professional, fun and helpful. Every dive starts with a clear, enthousiatic briefing and ends with a hot/cold drink when you come out of the water :) The customers are number 1 on this trip and decisions are made to make it as good as possible for everybody aboard. You really feel taken care off. The boat is spacious and comfortable. The master cabin we stayed in was lovely! We were a bit unlucky with high waves on some divesites, but it didn't spoil the fun. We didn't see manta's or whalesharks but hey, that's nature. A lot to see and to explore underwater though!

Great vis on the first 2 days, beautiful warm water, but total lack of anything big. Great trip. Could be better dive planning and guiding
May be it was due to early season... but the boat was very crouded and not all dive master was perfect and caring. 2 out of 5 dive masters were ocasional rather than permanent guides... may be it is the reason. We had very rough see and limited visibility while a dive planning was not at the best.... Too many divers at the same time in a water. Overall, regardless of all mentioned above, I might consider doing it again :-)

Richelieu rock, the reason however that I would NOT recommend this boat are that the owner is clearly cutting corners: crew sleeps in the lounge because their cabins are sold to guests. That’s just greed!! They don’t provide adequate towels, the toilet seats don’t even fit, the cabins are never cleaned and the boat looks unsanitary. This is truth.
