Highlights had to be the relationship with the crew which was great including the captain who was everywhere and had dinner with the passengers each evening. Again, the boat itself which was comfortable, sturdy, well appointed and a blast from the past, yet maintained as if it were new. The food was fantastic, well prepared and with a huge variety satisfying at each sitting. Plenty of activities on board and off to keep anyone busy and ready to sleep at the appointed time. ************ All stars.

Bears, whales and waterfalls, oh my!!!
Our charter went from Sitka to Juneau, AK over the course of 7 days. We saw whales, bears, bald eagles, Dall's porpoise, jellyfish, glaciers, waterfalls and a variety of birds. The boat is gorgeous, comfortable, warm and spacious. Captain Ben is full of knowledge and stories about the area and extremely experienced in traveling through these waters. I loved that it is a small family run business with impeccable taste and commitment to quality.

The only negative thing I can say is that maybe the crew spoiled me!
We saw humpback whales feeding just off the bow of the boat. Not to downplay the Orcas, the porpoises, the brown bears or all the other critters. The inside passage scenery was breathtaking at every turn including the icebergs and glaciers. The boat itself was spectacular - Captain Ben's attention to every detail was clearly visible in how well groomed the entire boat was. Very beautiful! The professionalism of the entire crew was impressive. This trip definitely checked a box on my bucket list. I can't recommend the M/V Discovery, Captain Ben and the crew enough!
