The 27m Ecopro Duyung Baru is a traditional Indonesian Phinisi scheduling year-round dive trips to the iconic dive areas of Komodo National Park, South Sulawesi, and Wakatobi. With only 4 cabins on board to cater to a maximum of 68 guests, the Ecopro Duyung Baru Liveaboard offers a personalized and intimate trip. Small but mighty! Highly recommended!
This is a very well planned and organised liveaboard. Communication from the crew was great even before arrival. Everything felt very personalised and intimate as we were a small group and we were all very well looked after. The rooms and even the decks were very well maintained and cleaned several times throughout the day. Food and refreshments were all delicious. Every single one of the crew were kind and very helpful with everything. Each of them is a valuable asset of the Dayung Baru crew and I highly recommend this liveaboard!

An unforgettable experience
We were incredibly lucky and were the only two passengers on our trip. This meant we had the whole boat and crew available to us. The crew were incredibly helpful and friendly and made this trip unforgettable for us. They were such kind and warm people (we miss Lexi), always ready to help and assists us and to accommodate any request or wish. We had two dive guides in every guide and the dive briefings were very thorough and descriptive, which made us feel safe and looked after. We did our first night dives during this liveaboard and the guides made the experience very good. Especially Normen is super well acquainted with every site - we always dived in what seem very good conditions and he was always able to find all the little critters and show them to us. The marine life and reef healthy was generally excellent. The food was delicious and plentiful. We were greeted after every dive with warm tea. Our equipment was rinsed and hanged to dry after every dive. We felt spoiled and cannot imagine any future trip can match this experience. If you think you want to do a Komodo liveaboard, stop searching and book this one, you won't regret it.

I can't imagine it getting any better!
The entire trip was amazing from start to finish. Yani's food was amazing, the boat is super comfortable and spacious. The dives led by Vovo were all spectacular, especially the night dive at Torpedo Point.

An exceptional Liveaboard stay
We were very lucky on this trip. Besides being perfectly managed by the team, we did some amazing dives. We will remember our first encounters with manta rays for a long time.

Highly recommended in Komodo
The crew met with us in the marina. From then on we were treated like royalties. The service was very good throughout the whole experience. Delicious food was prepared and nicely served for each meal. The cabin was spotless and cleaned several times a day. We have been diving quite a lot, the dive guide picked this up and even made the check dive interesting with showing small critters on the reef. The dive plan was always shared with us to make sure input from us was considered. We wish we could have stayed longer and would definitely consider doing another trip with this boat and crew.

Once in a lifetime experience
I spent an incredible week in Komodo with the crew of Duyung Baru for what was my first liveaboard, now I'm hooked for life! Manta rays, sharks, turtles, dragons... the crew took us to amazing diving sites where we felt completely alone, and they were always attentive to our every need. Thanks to Lucy for helping me improve my diving skills and training me to become a zen master underwater, Wiki for the delicious food (western and local) and special thanks to Leksi and Bani for taking care of the small, everyday details with so much kindness and humor

Great boat, food, and crew. But low value for money.
Positives: - Staff were friendly and kept all guests very comfortable. They even went out of their way to accommodate our schedules. - Dives are off a dinghy, and the dinghy operators are great. Post dive pickup was always quick without issues. - Rooms are spacious and clean. - Food was great, good variety and flavors Cons: - Drinks are expensive, soda beer juices, also all priced in USD. - Be aware that the extra fees not included in the price you see on liveaboard.com, can add up quickly. - For a 5N/6D trip, the itinerary only includes 12 dives. Which is on low end compared to other liveaboards.
