Jakaré: Such a memorable experience!
We spent the most amazing seven days exploring the magnificent Komodo National Park in Indonesia. We had such a beautiful experience on board - Jakaré crew and cruise director made the entire trip unforgettable! They were fantastic and full of energy and good vibes only. Always smiling, helping and taking care of us. We felt safe and special every single day - they greeted us every time we came back to Jakaré in our speedboats in such a lovely way that makes you feel home and super special. The cruise itinerary is one of a kind and we enjoyed every single day- all activities were superb and well balanced and combined over the days (diving/snorkeling, hiking, kayaking, trekking visiting Komodo dragons), every meal was delicious always made with love, full of Indonesians flavors and exceptional presentations - the chef spoiled us every single day! Bintang and good wine were always available at a very reasonable price. We were so lucky to share the boat with such lovely guests! We shared dives, meals, drinks, conversations and laughs every day on board of such a gorgeous boat- perfectly suited for intimate and small groups. We spent our birthdays and engagement on board and Jakaré made the celebrations truly memorable and full of love. We all became such a big family at the end of the trip while enjoying our last beautiful beachside dinner at sunset on Pulau Anita private island with bioluminescence in the water. Truly! One of a kind experience! The diving/snorkeling experience was exceptional, with such beautiful and massive marine biodiversity. Breathtaking landscapes all around the cruise trip, pristine waters and amazing sandy private beaches. Komodo National Park is indeed one of the best diving destinations ❤️

Unforgettable 12 Days in Raja Ampat
With this boat you are in a slightly "higher" price category, but it is definitely worth it. The crew, the food, the boat itself, the service, the guide, etc. are all at the highest level. I already have a lot of comparison options but the 12 days on the Jakaré were just perfect from A to Z :-)A very big advantage on this ship are the different possibilities. You always have the choice between diving, snorkeling and shore excursions in between. Our route included Jellyfishlake, various viewpoints, a visit to a fishing village and a beach barbecue. There is also kayak and SUP so that you can enjoy the surroundings yourself. The dive sites are very well coordinated with each other and the wishes of the guests. Due to the small number of guests, the diving is super relaxed and we hardly saw any other divers underwater during 12 days.Thank you very much for the unforgettable time

The perfect boat
I have 10+ Liveabord experiences, and this was plainly the best boat I ever bordered . Very nice lounging and outdoor dining area. Appealing decorations, all tasteful and practical. It was a 13 day trip and I could not get enough. We had the aft cabine with the private balcony… the view was great from there (the room itself is quite tiny so) All in all there was great food and we got along well… the only issue worth mentioning was that they created a shortage in some basic supplies like soft drinks and milk and blamed it on our perceived overconsumption (which was really unfortunate communication at 600€ / night) but that was just a little annoyance over all.

Jakare’ was a dive trip of a lifetime!
Dive trip of a lifetime following the lead of our crew director, Audrey and dive master, Sahril. They were very well organized getting us ready for up to 30 dives in 12 days. Special highlight was being visited by a whale shark and hanging out with the manta rays. With only 10 passengers total we have tremendous service from all of the crew and food was amazing. Come hungry because the chef serves lots of food all day! Left the boat with new friends and amazing memories.

Wonderful trip, amazing crew!
Jakaré is a beautiful boat and Audrey and her crew work tirelessly to ensure everyone has a wonderful time. The rooms and en-suites are large with hot showers 🥳. There’s AC at night and during the day fans to keep you cool. I started my day with coffee and toast before the first dive and there was always a pot of fresh coffee waiting for me. Breakfast after the first dive was substantial, choice of eggs, noodles or rice, fresh fruit etc. Lunch was also substantial with 4 large plates of various meat, fish and vegetarian dishes (all were very good). Dinner a 3 course affair with salad, main and dessert. In short the food was plentiful and really good. And there was a delicious cake everyday at 3ish. Diving was in small groups and despite going to Komodo in high season (July) we generally had the dive sites to ourselves, or there was one other group which was easily avoided. The diving was wonderful and Audrey and crew clearly know the dive sites really well. I absolutely loved my time on Jakaré and would definitely go again! If you’re over 60 you’ll need a signed medical form from a hyperbaric doctor.

The best liveaboard I've ever experienced
I loved every second on Jakaré and am already planning for my next trip. I have never met such incredible service - these guys really make you feel like you're on holiday! The boat was extremely comfortable, every detail well considered. Add delicious food and you really got yourself one perfect liveaboard!

Can’t complain about a thing
1. Well organised itinerary. Always entertaining but not exhausting. They have everything for everyone: divers or none divers. 2. ⁠High quality food with good variety. Chef and sous-chef were well trained in a French restaurant in Jakarta, and they were so passionate about their food! 3. ⁠Very beautiful phinisi. Spacious and beautifully designed rooms and areas for relaxation and mingling. 4. ⁠Amazing attention to details. For example the crew washed our shoes after trekking, they always help hang l our clothes and towels and fold them when dry. 5. Wonderful guests that we’ve met on Jakare. Always a bonus to know new and lovely people on a journey.

Amazing experience !
Extraordinary adventure in Komdo in july 23. Wonderful dives with excellent divemasters and adorable cruise director Audrey ! The food is just Amazing !! From yummy breakfasts to delicious snacks, all meals were 5 stars and the service from all the crew is incredible, caring and nice. Life on the boat is comfy, cosy and friendly. Very difficult to leave such an amazing group ! We miss it already !

Spectacular boat and crew
The trip was very nice, the crew very attentive and helpful. The excursions and in general all the activities were great. As there are few travelers, it depends a lot on how they are, and their level of diving, We had very beginner divers and a very closed group (of five people) and little desire to share experiences. But that's a lottery.

Fabulous time on the Jakaré
We had a fabulous 12 days in the Raja Ampat area on the Jakaré liveaboard. We were warmly welcomed by the cruise & dive manager, the incredible Audrey. The crew was amazing, lead by Captain Thalib. They were all helpful, cheerful, adept at all they do--and delightful musicians, as well. The enthusiastic "hello, hello hello!" greeting everytime we returned to the boat from a dive or excursion never got old. Food was delicious and plentiful, and our individual tastes or food needs were met with pleasure. My wife and I booked the lovely cabin at the back and enjoyed views off the stern. We were some of the least experienced divers, and Audrey helped us out by making available, at a good price, a private dive master. Stefan really helped make our dive experiences safe and enjoyable. We loved the Misool area, especially. Can't say enough about how hard Audrey works, and how enjoyable she made our vacation. She's an amazing young woman, and because of her love for diving, we can't wait to explore more dive adventures. In the end, I'd like to give a shout out to Mael at Liveaboard.com who tirelessly answered all our questions, made sure we submitted all required information on time, and suggested to us the private dive master. She was great to work with.

A beautiful journey had only one flaw, it was over 🙂 too quickly
The tour was absolutely great. The order and team are super friendly, competent and attentive. The dives were beautiful, very well selected and perfectly tested. Both guides (Audrey and Jack) were very experienced. The food was amazing. The boat, the Jakare, is ideal, it was built especially for such tours and is very spacious.

A truly wonderful boat and crew
The Jakare was absolutely faultless from start to finish. Nicolas the cruise director is incredibly professional, accomodating and enthusiastic always giving brilliant dive briefings before each dive and is clearly extremely liked and respected by the crew. We dived with Manssu who was a dab-hand at finding all the hard-to-find critters in Raja Ampat and clearly absolutely loves what he does which is so important in a divemaster. As for the wizzard in the kitchen Chef Burhan, he really made us such delicious meals 3 times a day which were a very good reason to come up from a dive! However this 35m vessel runs and works as beautifully as it does due to a collective effort by all crew members who were all just a brilliant. This was a 10-day Raja Ampat cruise and culminated in an amazing trek through the jungle to see the Red-bird of paradise which is such a unique experience when visiting this region. Look no further!

Jakare, a lot of very good things, but also some disappointments
I would halve loved for this review do describe positive things only, because a lot about this boat is very good. The boat itself is lovely, easily the most beautiful liveaboard we have done so far. The boat has no AC during the day, only at night, but for us this was no big issue. The boat is spacious and our room with the balcony was very nice. The rental gear was in good condition, the crew lovely, the guides professional and knowledgeable, and most of the diving was very good, with a couple of sites being absolutely amazing. Also I had to change my travel buddy due to personal circumstances, this was no problem en even free of charge, and after the trip I had forgotten some things in a closet in our room, and the crew was very forthcoming in getting me my things back. One small issue we had was with the food, beforehand we were asked if we preferred Asian or Western food, but at the boat everybody was served exactly the same food. Granted, the food looked amazing and tasted in most cases very good, but choice was limited to what the cook prepared, which at lunch was more Asian oriented and absolutely delicious, but the diner was mostly Western cuisine, which we didn’t liked equally, and we would have liked to at least have the option to not eat Western food on our Asian holiday, even though the quality was definitely good. A much bigger issue I had, and what is the reason the trip doesn’t score the full 5 stars, is with the itinerary. We booked an advertised trip with 20 dives in total, with 3 dives on day 6 and 2 last dives on day 7. But on day 5 the third dive off day 6 was put up for debate, and when the group didn’t really come to consensus, it was suddenly decided to the dive for a trekking. As we were anchored at one of the best sites of the park, and I was quite focal about my preference to do the dive, that was quite disappointing. Than it became apparent that the 2 days on day 7 suddenly were no longer on the schedule, instead we would arrive back at the harbor early in the morning, instead of the afternoon. So we did only 17 dives in total instead of the advertised 20, which corresponds with a full day of diving less than communicated before. As this is not a specifically cheap liveboard, cutting a full day of diving is unacceptable to me, and this should be changed in the itinerary, or even better, do the actual dives. If this is something that could have an effect on your appreciation of the trip, as it for sure had on me, double-check beforehand about the itinerary and the amount of dives, because 17 instead of 20 is not a small difference. As mentioned before, it saddens me to not give the trip a 10/10, because it for sure has that potential, but you can’t just cut a full day of a trip, that’s not fair towards your customers.

With added a/c and canopies, the Jakare would be a nice liveaboard.
Brutally HOT and humid as a/c ONLY on at night in the room. No fans in common areas, no shade on top deck.
