Best diving experience in the Maldives!
The whole experience during my liveaboard with Les Amis des Maldives was absolutely amazing! It really surpassed all my expectations. Since the very first moment I felt like at home, as everybody made me feel super comfortable (crew, instructors...) and also I was lucky to meet nice people and we became the best diving buddies! We had some really cool dives: I can say the best dives of my life as we saw many different species of sharks, mantas, eagle rays, turtles, octopus, beautiful fish and coral, and so on... The underwater wildlife in the Maldives is really amazing and also at night, after dinner, we could see the whaleshark, mantas, dolphins, cuttlefish... right next to us, coming next to the boat and it was such a beautiful moment to experience. All the people working on Ocean One was always making sure that we have the best diving experiences: planning the itinerary and the dive sites very carefully always having in account those which have the best conditions depending on the weather and currents and making sure that there are no other divers apart from us. We did many cool dives (23 in total) and all the instructors are really nice and super good instructors. Mostly Lucila made me feel super comfortable underwater and was always making sure that we were having the best experience. Also on the boat she was always helping us with everything we needed and everytime I needed something Lucila, Francesco and all the instructors were there to help and make us feel better. I really appreciate that and I'm so grateful. Talking about the crew, they are the nicest people I've ever met, always ready to help us with a smile, they deserve the best! Also the food on board is really nice and they did the impossible to make a diary-free diet just for me, I really appreciate that, thanks chef!Thank you so much to everybody for making possible this amazing experience in the Maldives that I will never forget!Alexandra.

Maldives Deep South
We really enjoyed our Deep South liveaboard and all the new dive sites. Tiger sharks were an amazing experience. Compared to the Central atolls, South is incredibly peaceful and you only rarely see other divers at the dive sites.

A Trip of a Lifetime
Ocean One employs some of the best dive guides I have ever dove with. One dive I will never forget is the first dive we did, we encountered so many manta rays. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t cry during the encounter.

Still profusion of magnificient marine life
This dive itinerary put forward first asset to alternate diving on Thilas and fairways. Beyond this route, you encounter happiness to contemplate Manta rays and see white tip sharks, grey ones along reefs you will visit as well as these pelagic species operate in their specific cleaning stations.

I had a great trip. The other guests were French speaking but the guides (also French) went out of their way to keep me involved and informed. The staff were happy and keen to help too.

Great value for money
I spent a week on the Ocean One in the central atolls of the Maldives, specifically in Ari Atoll. It was my fourth cruise with Liveaboard.com (the first three were in Egypt). Before departing, I had several concerns: from the photos the boat looked somewhat dated; many reviews criticized the guides, saying they were not very helpful and that all briefings were conducted only in French; moreover, I was a bit apprehensive about diving in the Maldives, which I had read could be very demanding. I would say that all of these concerns turned out to be unfounded. The boat is indeed a bit dated, but the photographs reflect neither more nor less than its actual condition, and in any case, although not brand new, the boat is very comfortable. The dive guides were outstanding, probably the best I have ever had: not only were the briefings conducted as needed in three languages (English, French, and Italian), but the primary language was always English; furthermore, the guides were highly professional and, during the dives, went out of their way in every possible manner to assist the divers and make their experience the best possible. Diving in the Maldives can indeed be challenging, but as mentioned, the guides managed everything in the best possible way. Another pleasant surprise was the food on board, again probably the best I have ever encountered on a diving cruise and well above expectations. My wife and I spent an amazing week and already miss the Ocean One.
