The Krishna 2 is a 26-meter/85-foot-long liveaboard, built in 2024, that offers a comfortable diving experience for up to 24 passengers, supported by a crew of 10 in the Andaman Sea, Thailand. The Krishna 2 features various cabin options: 7 twin ensuite cabins, 2 double bed ensuites, 1 king bed ensuite, and a 4-bunk room accommodating four guests. A good liveaboard at an affordable cost!
A pretty new boat in good overall condition. Friendly and helpful crew and dive guides. Tasty food and very good variety from day to day. Nitrox is a bit pricy, but I think it is mainly because the don’t have a membrane compressor onboard, so they have to buy the oxygen in big tanks and blend it on board. A good mix of international guests made the trip very good in all aspects.

Richelieu Rock is a beautiful place.
I was satisfied with the safe transfer from Phuket Airport to the ship and the smooth sailing after departure. The beauty of Richelieu Rock still lingers in my memory. I plan to return someday to see it again.

The crew goes above and beyond
The tour was run very smoothly and the crew and guides go above and beyond to make life easy and enjoyable for the guests. Clear itinery for each day with reliable times. Crew was always ready with a drink for us right after a dive, and food ready on the table as soon as we were back in dry clothes. Food was great with a lot of variety and they always made sure to cook us a seperate option for us as vegetarians. Our dive guide (Mint) was great! Very helpful and patient with us as more inexperienced divers, and always made sure everyone was confortable and helped us with any issues we might have. Thank you to the whole crew for a great trip!

Great experience!
Diving with MV Krishna 2 was truly enjoyable. The crew were kind, accommodating, and very helpful. The dive guides took safety seriously and worked hard to ensure we all respected and protected the sites we dove on, taking care to correct divers who were accidentally harming the reefs. We were fortunate to have a great group of divers with us, but to all coming after us, please respect the reefs and corals, especially delicate hard coral gardens.

The dive sites were fantastic, the crew on board was extremely helpful and attentive, dive instructors could have been more “proactive” in pre and post dive briefing as well as during the dives itself. The cabins were cleaned “only on request “ and some had tiny bugs problems… perhaps more attention on this topic (using a pest control spray before boarding the vessel) could have neutralised the issue. Pick up and drop off were smoothly organised and on time. Overall we would definitely recommend this company as well as the boat.

Saw an oceanic manta, guitar shark, and 2 seahorses. Loved the dive sights and the guides had excellent knowledge of the dive sites which made it more enjoyable.

Amazing time in Koh Similan!
It's my first liveaboard and it sure exceeded my expectation. The staff was so friendly and helpful. They helped me every step of the way to make my diving experience enjoyable. I would say Thai food was 7 out of 10. You can bring your own alcohol onboard. I wish they offer massages.

The Krishna 2 was an amazing dive live aboard. We had a great dive itinerary that concluded at Richelieu Rock. This site is the most amazing spot I have experienced yet. The schools of fish were overwhelming in the best way. My dive master Mint made the experience all the more special. Thanks to all the crew and my fellow dive mates!!!

Great for AOW, OW divers be WARNED
If you are AOW and above, or planning to get your AOW on board, this is a very smooth and organized liveaboard. The staff is attentive and organized, everything runs smoothly. They don't make up your rooms during the trip like other liveaboards, but I personally don't care about that. Really no complaints overall for this operator, one of the better ones. They make you pay for rental equipment in advance because they rent from another shop, so if you change your mind on what equipment you need, you cannot change it and they are not flexible about this. So just be sure what you're renting. IF YOU ARE OPEN WATER CERTIFIED AND DO NOT WANT TO GET YOUR AOW ON BOARD, they will tell you that dives will be required to be missed unless you get AOW certified (AOW is not necessary for this route just book another operator). They REFUSE to accommodate OW divers and will either make you hire a private guide ($$$) or get the cert. The back office is extremely aggressive about this, threatening legal action against me because I said I would include this in the review. So if you plan on staying OW, book another operator, I've done others that accommodate no problem, and there are no dives on this route you can't do with OW only. Even the ones we did on our trip were all OW friendly, I rarely went below 18m even with AOW. The night dives are also not worth prioritizing like some other destinations.

Something to keep in mind and check before going!
Awesome new super comfortable boat. One thing that u need to be aware is that their rental suits are ONLY SHORTIES that I was not made aware of even when chatting with Krishna team on what’s app! It’s my second trip to Similan and I knew that shortie isn’t enough (I would have taken mine along with no rental needed) There was no concern whatsoever in helping me out, checking on me or trying to rectify this. I ended up freezing first 2days until one of the fellow divers offered me one of his full suits to layer up and I, finally, was able to enjoy my dives on day 3. I had a chart with a lead dive instructor on board and, hopefully, this will be sorted out at some point. So make sure to check on it when u sign up if uve cold sensitive as thermoclines can b brutal in there.

Beautiful Thailand Cruise
We are delighted with our first liveaboard experience. From an organizational point of view, everything was very efficient and very clear from start to finish. Regarding the cruise itself, the boat was functional although complete. The food was delicious and varied although we would have liked more vegetables. We enjoyed the diving spots, however the pace was very fast and the last dive siteDiving with the wrecks did not please us. The crew was very attentive, however, I find it a shame that we were not able to have more exchange with the dive guides. Overall, we recommend this liveaboard

Great diving but the guiding and operations could use improvement.
The diving was good, but there is room for improvement in the operations. We had 7 guests with our dive guide, which felt crowded. It was common that we didn’t know which way we going underwater, and our guide didn’t point out much wildlife for the first half of the trip. We also had some strange profiles, once going to 90 feet depth on the 4th dive of the day and staying there a while. Some of the guests in our group were kicking and breaking coral frequently and they weren’t given corrective feedback. The rooms are comfortable, and the food is great. The main issue is that the engine is incredibly loud and sends vibration throughout the boat. Often we would stay moored until 2 am and then drive to the next dive site with the engines running from 2 to 6 am, then wake up bell at 7 or 8. If they could operate the engine right after diving in the evening that would be better. All said, Richelieu Rock diving was fantastic, as were the Similan Islands. It was worth the discomfort and tiredness. I think getting rid of the last day for wreck diving plus the artificial reef and just getting off the boat would make most guests happier.

Food was great and served frequently. All cabins had en suite restrooms. The Richelieu Rock dive site is absolutely fantastic.

Great scuba cruise to end a day earlier
Our start was great! Delicious food with attention to every detail, decorated and organized in a professional and precise way, really kind travel companions even with our children. The only detail we would change is the last day of diving and the last night... Landing off the port in the artificial reef is a waste, we would have preferred to do another day of diving in the Similan Marine Park and not pay to spend a night in port, in fact with the help of the crew we left the Khrisna a day early,

Good budget liveaboard
This was an okay boat to be on, no frills. There was no indoor commons area and only 3 lounge chairs on the upper deck, so any time spent on the boat was in the dining area or in bed. Bean bags would have been a nice addition. Only one staff member spoke English.

Lack of atmosphere, business goal without proper service. Team/sites to be checked before booking.
We preferred our 1st experience on another boat with another team 2 years ago. Krishna 2: lack of friendly atmosphere, poor communication, passable cuisine. We feel a $$$ business objective without the expected level of service and dives. Wave is not the ideal profile of dive manager, nor of accompanying instructor (2 Advanced students with him complained about lack of courses and booklets, 1 student had to go up alone in emergency to run out of air with empty tank ..., + my wife dived with closed tank, solved between us).Wave briefs not very interesting, and especially difficult to understand by the majority, even for English speakers... fortunately our instructor Mint, who was the pearl among the very average team, was there to redo the brief.Control the proposed dives: 1/3 of "commercial" dives without any interest, especially on the last day 3 uninteresting dives 2 km from the Pier of our arrival to follow, to allow the organizer to optimize the timing of the next departure on the same day... very disappointing for all divers, because we don't choose an Onboard to do the local dives + close to the coast, let alone uninteresting (2/3 of my team didn't even do the 2nd dive in the same place as the 1st). Comfortable boat, passable spicy basic Thai food, some comfortable vip cabins. In summary, I advise to ask/look for a crew other than Wave's.
Recommended for
our MINT instructor (without a doubt the best on the onboard). 3 dives on Richelieu + 1 on Tachai Pinnacle (other dives of no interest). VIP room with private bathroom toilet (even if a little too expensive).
