Dive Sites and Areas of Yanbu
Diving around Yanbu has a lot to offer divers, it’s one of the departure points for liveaboard itineraries taking divers to the nearby dive spots, some of the top ones are below;
Seven Sisters Reef is very well known for its Hammerhead shark sightings, A relatively untouched area of coral reefs it hosts numerous dive sites to explore by liveaboard. Marker No’s 32, 39 & 41 dive sites will give divers a selection of reef dives and drop-off dives where abundant marine life is found. Sightings of schooling barracuda, Red snapper, Dog Tooth Tuna and possibly even Tiger sharks are all possible here.
Abu Galawa is possibly one of the most beautiful dive sites in the Yanbu area. Located on the Seven Sister Reef this dive site offers underwater grottos, drop offs and amazing marine life. Divers can expect to see barracuda, groupers and a variety of Red Sea sharks.
Liveaboard itineraries that dive in the Yanbu area will usually depart and finish in Yanbu, although some itineraries can do a one way trip from Jeddah. Check your chosen itinerary for details.
