De prachtige 30 meter lange Manta Mae liveaboard is gebouwd in de traditionele Phinisi stijl en biedt fantastische duikrouters aan in de diverse regio van Komodo en Raja Ampat in Indonesië. De liveaboard is in 2014 op de markt gebracht en heeft plek voor slechts negen gasten waardoor alle aanwezige duikers een persoonlijke service ontvangen en een onvergetelijke vakantie zullen ervaren.
De Manta Mae Phinisi heeft zowel binnen als buiten meer dan genoeg ruimte voor ontspanning. Op het hoofddek is een er binnensalon te vinden met airconditioning, een comfortabele loungearea met een koelkast, een breedbeeld-TV en een Apple computer. De grote lounge area, gelegen op het hoofddek, is een ideale plek om te zonnen en te genieten van het adembenemende Indonesische landschap. Versbereide maaltijden worden geserveerd aan de eettafel die op het buitendek is gelegen. Op het bovendek is er nog meer ruimte om te zonnen of heerlijk in één van de hangmatten te liggen tussen de duiken door. De Manta Mae beschikt slechts over drie hutten, één Master en twee Deluxe hutten. De ruimte Master hut heeft een kingsize bed en een eenpersoonsbed en de twee Deluxe hutten beschikken over een queensize bed en een eenpersoonsbed. Alle kamers rekenen op een eigen badkamer, airconditioning, een tv en een kluis.
Onderwater zullen zowel duikers als snorkelaars hun ogen uitkijken van het al het moois wat Indonesië te bieden heeft en van ontmoetingen met maanvissen en manta's in Komodo, tot het ontdekken van ongerepte duikstekken in Raja Ampat, is er voor ieder wat wils. Ook bovenwater is er een hoop te doen zoals hiken in Rinca om Komodovaranen te spotten, kajakken tussen de mangroves of genieten van een BBQ tijdens de zonsondergang op een verlaten Indonenisch eiland.

Alone on the sea
With such a small group of guests, it was easy to find some alone time to enjoy the sea and the sky. The decks have ample covering, so you can find a shady spot if you aren't trying to tan continuously. We were alone on the reefs 90% of the time, and usually dove in 2 groups of 4, which was great. The crew was super friendly. The cook is really good, and every meal was incredible. And they had an espresso machine! This trip was a dream, and I would definitely book again.

Couldn't have planned a better new year vacation!
I shall not write this review without complimenting the chef! The food was simply great on the liveaboard. He occasionally asked what kind of meal we wanted and cooked us meals despite the storm like a champ! Manta Mae is a comfortable liveaboard that accommodates a small group of divers and non-divers. The low number of guest allowed the dive guides Ben and Irlan to focus on each of us and even gave feedback on how to improve use dive skills and air consumption. The dive guides are very familiar with the dive sites. We had a late night dinner in an island and watched fireworks on New Year's eve. The minus points would be the room AC that sometimes leaks and some charging ports in the room did not work.

danke für ein einmaliges urlaubserlebnis.
es gab viele highlights (bitte die folgende reihung nicht als wertung verstehen ;): tolle organisation von der buchung bis zur crew und dem management vor ort, transfer, freundlichkeit, kurze bis gar keine wartezeiten, service, schiff .... alles tiptop. und natürlich großartige tauchplätze - die hoffentlich noch lange so intakt bleiben wie sie sind.

Great diving experience with a very friendly staff
Mantas and millions of fish. Perfect size for a boat with max. 9 people. Always a place to relax on a bean bag. Delicious food and smoothies. Nice trips to beautiful islands. Excellent diving guides, and good rental equipment - thank you Ben and Herman! A trip I will never forget! Tipps: Barefoot boot, only bring flip flops. Avoid the bunk cabin as it is close to the generator.

Best diving in 35 years
Of course the oceanic world in Radja Ampat. Incredible biodiversity and looks like one of the last paradise on this planet. We were able to see Mantas, Turtels, Wobegongs etc. also plenty of macro life. Also some plastic garbage - hope Indonesia does all to protect their environment in the future.
