De Spirit of Freedom is een 37 meter lange, ultramoderne liveaboard. Zij werd door lezers van het Australasia Dive Log uitgeroepen tot Best Australian Liveaboard in 2015 en 2017. De Spirit of Freedom biedt gedurende het hele jaar 3, 4 en 7-daagse duikreizen aan naar het Great Barrier Reef en de Koraalzee. Ook zijn er reizen beschikbaar naar het noorden voor een aantal afgelegen en ongerepte riffen. De Spirit of Freedom beschikt over goede duikvoorzieningen, zoals een ruim duikdek, individuele droogplekken, Nitrox, spoelbakken, een cameratafel en vers water douches. Er is ook een werkstation met power boards en converters van 110 volt aanwezig voor fotografen.
De Spirit of Freedom beschikt over 11 cabines die geschikt zijn voor ieder budget. Alle cabines zijn uitgerust met een eigen badkamer, kledingkast, voldoende opbergruimte, airconditioning en huishoudelijke dienst. Daarnaast kunnen gasten op het bovendek tussen de duiken door of in de avonduren ontspannen met een drankje. Dit is een geweldige plek om de fantastische duiken van de dag nog eens met elkaar door te nemen. De lounge aan de voorzijde van het schip is met haar comfortabele zitplekken en zitzakken een fijne plek om tot rust te komen. Ten slotte heeft het restaurant genoeg zitplekken voor alle gasten. Hier zijn gezonde en kwalitatief goede maaltijden verkrijgbaar. Het diner bestaat uit een vast menu waarbij frisdranken, wijnen en bieren inclusief zijn. Spirit of Freedom moet ten minste 30 dagen voor de reis in kennis worden gesteld van eventuele speciale dieetwensen.
De minimumleeftijd om met de Spirit of Freedom te reizen is 16 jaar, omdat het soort duiken dat wordt beoefend ervaring vereist. Snorkelaars zijn welkom aan boord van de Minke Whale Trip (juni en juli) en de 3-daagse Cod Hole trip. Het snorkelen kan worden beperkt door het weer, getijden, stromingen en andere omgevingsfactoren en snorkelen is alleen toegestaan op plaatsen die veilig worden geacht. Passagiers ouder dan 65 moeten een medische verklaring van een arts overleggen waarin wordt bevestigd dat zij fit genoeg zijn om te duiken.

It was truly an adventure that left a positive lasting impression, especially because of the amazing crew and great group of guests.
Four days were enough. Sleeping was a real challenge because we had to be underway three of the nights; one night in very rough seas and I had a forward bottom cabin. I got lifted and slammed with every wave we met. Lots of people were seasick. The captain had had to make a tough call and reroute us to an unplanned site because of sea conditions, but he knew what he was doing and warned us of the rough night ahead. The crew was impressive and worked hard to make sure everyone got their expected dives (except the night dive, which had to be cancelled), even when conditions were less than ideal getting on and off the boat. It was quite an adventure and hats off to the entire crew!

- The staff was top-notch; knowledgeable, experienced, professional, and helpful.. The food was amazing! Chef Murray's cooking is better than I've had in many highly rated restaurants.. The diving was fun, diverse, challenging at times, and a real bucket list experience..

Amazing first liveaboard experience in a spectacular place thanks to the crew
This was an experience of a lifetime! The food was amazing - delicious & balanced. The chef did a great job of accommodating quite a few different dietary restrictions. The entire crew was outstanding. Every crew member was knowledgeable, approachable, and caring. We got lucky with the weather, and the plane ride to Lizard Island was a spectacular start to the trip. I felt very safe at all times and well-prepared by the dive briefings. Although the dives are not formally guided, there are always multiple dive guides in the water for safety. They may be helping out less experienced divers, divers needing a buddy, or divers completing an advanced course. We had the option of following a guide. They know where the best stuff is, but it is also nice to go on your own adventure with your dive buddy some of the time at your own pace. We saw so many different types of fish, rays, sharks, and even minke whales! The Spirit of Freedom crew really goes above and beyond to make sure you have the best possible trip. Highly recommend!

Arizonan on the Great barrier reef
Incredibly professional and helpful crew. From top to bottom. The food was amazing, Andreas is incredible cook. The dives were well organized, changes were made as needed due to weather etc to keep us in the water and seeing cool things. The ship was well organized and the concern for safety both on board and well diving was impressive. Incredibly fun group of divers and crew.

Stellar experience! Great boat and crew!
We had an inside cabin with no windows and it was fine. I thought I might be uncomfortable but we only were in the room to sleep. This is my 4th liveaboard and it was a great experience! The crew is absolutley top notch. Chef created delicious meals and even made me gluten free options like a pizza and pancakes! He made my husband fruit salad for desert because he cannot eat sugar. Lots of good food and snacks. Our dive asters were terrific, keeping a good eye on everyone and very enthusiastic even tho they must have done this 1000 times! Leo was our cheerful major domo and we were very well prepared for every dive. Equiptment was really good ( I've been on boats where it wasn't!). We saw amazing animals, Minke whales, huge oceanic Mantas and a Whale Shark! Definitely the highlight of of our trip.

Don't hesitate, pull the trigger and book. This is a great boat and well put together crew.
I was completely relaxed the entire time. The Stars at night were better than anything I have seen in my life, and the diving was better.
