De MV Raja Ampat Explorer is een fantastische budget-vriendelijke optie om de regio van Raja Ampat en de Bandazee te ontdekken. De 33,5m lange MV Raja Ampat Explorer kan tot 14 gasten accommoderen in 7 cabines. Iedere cabine is en-suite uitgerust met warme douche, wastafel, toilet en airconditioning. Daarnaast zijn er gemeenschappelijke ruimtes zoals een lounge met entertainmentsysteem en airconditioning en een eetgedeelte. Alle maaltijden worden in buffetstijl geserveerd en zijn een mix van Indonesische en Europese gerechten. Daarnaast is er gedeeltelijk overdekt zonnedek waar u kunt onspannen of van het uitzicht kunt genieten.
Duikers kunnen iedere dag maximaal 3 duiken maken in de omgeving van Raja Ampat of de Bandazee. Cruises kunnen 7 of 10 nachten duren en ze bezoeken plekken als Misool, Fam, Arborek, Mansuar. Alle reizen beginnen en eindigen in Sorong. De cruises die naar de Bandazee varen vertrekken en eindigen in Ambon. Reizigers kunnen hier genieten van zeeslangen in Gunung Api, geweldige kleine onderwaterwezens in Ambon en hamerhaaien in Banda. De MV Raja Ampat Explorer heeft speciale stations waar duikers zich kunnen klaarmaken, een compressor, duikplatform met douche en camerastations. Daarnaast zijn er twee tenders om duikers af te zetten en op te halen.

Sitio de ensueño para buceadores
En general es un sitio muy bonito para bucear. El tiempo acompañó y sólo hay que tener en cuenta que, los días posteriores a la luna llena, la corriente es más fuerte. No me gustó la condescendencia con la que me trataron a veces los guías. Tal vez por ser una mujer que viaja sola, me pareció que se olvidaban que era una cliente más, igual que los demás. Agradecí a Endro (pido disculpas si no escribo bien su nombre), el encargado del motor, lo bien que me trató un día que me encontré francamente mal. En general, la tripulación fue muy amable, lástima que las personas con las que al final pasé más tiempo, fueran las que me hicieran sentir más incómoda.

Awesome trip
We unfortunately experienced delays getting to the boat, but the staff kept in touch the whole time and made us feel very welcome once we got there. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble and everybody had a smile on their face. The boat is old and a little dated but clean, comfortable and has everything you need. The food was great and nobody went hungry. A couple of issues with Nitrox supply and some air conditioning units not working properly, but they got sorted promptly. The diving is amazing and the dive guides were incredible. I don't know how they find all the amazing things they pointed out to us, from Wobbegong sharks to tiny nudi branch's and shrimps. There were times where the currents were quite strong but the guides help you out and look after you. The absolute highlight of the trip for me, has to be the huge Manta Ray (3-4m) at the cleaning station for at least 7 minutes in front of us. I cannot recommend this trip highly enough.

Great Trip, Great dives, with a amazing crew onboard to hel
Great diving in raja ampat, both western and indonesian meals, if are up for some chilli, can even have a taste of crew food. dive sites are checked out for current etc before going, dm’s are experienced and knowledgeable and can communicate in english. books onboard for identifying fish. can rest in cabin, restaurant or on upper deck between dives. crew takes good care of camera equipment and dingy is always there to get you after dives. lots of water to take showers. nitrox available!
