The 50m Scubaspa Yang liveaboard is the sister vessel to the Scubaspa Ying, which offers year-round diving holidays in the Maldives. Winner of multiple awards, the Scubaspa Yang provides a truly luxurious diving experience in the Maldives. Up to 36 guests (maximum 26 divers) can be accommodated in 17 guest cabins (5 Manta Suites, 3 Dolphin Suites, 1 Cowrie Suite, 8 Sea Star Cabins). One suite and one cabin can be converted into a triple to accommodate 3 guests. All cabins feature en-suite bathrooms and individually controlled air conditioning. The 8 suites located on the main deck all offer panoramic sea views.

The restaurant is located on the main deck and serves three buffet-style meals, plus an à la carte menu. There are live cooking stations, and internationally qualified chefs cater to all dietary needs. There is also an alfresco dining area at the rear of the main deck, and there will be the opportunity to enjoy a BBQ on a deserted island during your stay. The onboard spa spans 300 m² and features 4 treatment rooms, including a double room designed for couples.

Diving from the Scubaspa Yang takes place from the accompanying dive dhoni, which carries all the necessary equipment, including air compressors, a nitrox filling station, rinse tanks, and dive equipment storage. Experienced multi-lingual dive instructors and divemasters can cater to all diving levels and abilities. As a PADI 5 Star Dive Resort, a variety of courses, from beginner to advanced, can be taken on board. Itineraries cover the ‘Best of Maldives’, which includes the Male Atolls, Ari Atolls, and Rasdhoo & Vaavu Atoll, and is available all year, except for February & March when the Scubaspa yacht travels to the ‘Deep South’ for more remote diving suited to more experienced divers.

Great Experience!

Tiger sharks in the deep south
We had an amazing trip down south. The crew was amazing and so friendly. The highlight was Fuvamula, a spot famous in the world for close encounters with tiger sharks. And it held up to all expectations.

A truely memorable dive trip
The staffs were super nice and helpful that they will try to do all they could to makesure everyone was satisfied and happy in the trip. The dives were great espeacilly the night dive with nurse sharks and sting rays. Crazy and responsible dive guides ensured everyone was safe and had great dives. The food especially dinner desserts were simply AMAZING and they seldom repeat, you can tell they paid lots of attention in every details to make you satisfy. Truly wish to join them again in the future.

An exceptional experience aboard the Scubaspa Yang. Without question, this is the finest liveaboard cruise I have experienced to date. The level of service is outstanding: warm welcome, genuine personalized attention, highly adaptable and professional dive team, beautiful underwater sites, excellent cuisine, and a consistently kind and attentive crew. A special mention for the Manta Suites, which are simply sublime—extraordinarily spacious and refined for a liveaboard. I could only wish for my bedroom in Paris to feel exactly like my cabin on the Scubaspa Yang. Everything came together perfectly. A truly memorable experience.

Unbelievably incredible dive trip!
Wow. This was my first liveaboard and bar is set high. I cannot express enough how awesome this trip was. What an amazing crew of people who work hard and keep smiling as they ensure you are happy, comfortable, and safe. It was very organized in every aspect. I saw everything I wanted to see during this trip. We were even lucky enough to see a whale shark. I met one couple who was on their 5th time doing this specific liveaboard and I can see why. I would definitely like to come back and do Scubaspa Yang again!

Absolutely Incredible
Due to bad weather, the diving wasn't out of this world until the third day, however, because the crew, boat and guests were so amazing, it wasn't a problem. Once the weather had picked up, the diving became incredible! Mantas, Nurse Sharks and People!

Best Liveaboard ever!!
Arriving on the boat showed it was a cut above the rest. The rooms are spacious and well decorated although they do lack some storage space with only a small wardrobe and no drawers. The bathroom was really nice with a proper shower cubicle rather than soaking the whole room. Dinner time was a real eye opener as although it was buffett style all the dishes were really tasty and well made with a selection to suit all tastes. There is a fully stocked bar with a bar man at all times. A large range of wines and although a bit pricey it is priced on a par with a high end hotel bar. Coffee and tea is free and they barristas take great effort at producing fantastic coffees. The dive guides all spoke good english, were very professional and fun, and chose the best dive sites on the route. Altogether a fantastic liveaboard (more like a cruise with diving) and very enjoyable experience.

Five stars for the Scubaspa team!
We had an excellent time aboard the Scubaspa. This was our second time on Scubaspa so we knew what to expect but it surpassed our expectations. They have tweaked the level of service, quality of the food and dive team to be even better than before. We would not hesitate to recommend this boat as it is by far the best service level and cabin/ship quality in the Maldives. Congratulations to Thomas and his team. We really did enjoy our time with them. As we have already said the whole team were perfect. For us though Faiz, our dive guide, was superb, very attentive and we felt safe and well looked after in the water. The dive briefings were the best that we have experienced aboard at liveaboard, Faiz and Hassan had excellent English so made them interesting and fun. Pavel, from the dhoni crew, was always attentive and on hand to help zip up our wet suits, check our nitrox and help us with our equipment. Abey and Tuttik on the hospitality team were charming and delightful. Shah, Romesh and Mahendi couldn't do enough to help and always remembered how we liked our coffee and had it ready and waiting. Abdulla. the chef, turned out beautiful food from starter, mains and desserts to die for! Thank you to the team for making our holiday really special. We will definitely be back.

This is the best liveaboard in the Maldives. The boat offers lots of space and pure luxury. The Food was great and the dives very nice. You cannot go wrong with Scubaspa. We will come again.

Best Liveaboard Experience EVER!
It was just the perfect trip from beginning to the end. We were met at the airport by a crew member, and was brought to the motherboat by the dive dhoni. Upon arrival on the main boat, the registration process was simple and clear. We were brought to the cabin by the cruise manager, and given a short introduction of the cabin. In the evening of the arrival day, we were all given a full briefing and met the whole crew of the ScubaSpa Yang. There was 18 divers on our trip, but the boat never felt crowded throughout the whole trip. The sea star cabin was modern, clean and very comfortable. It was the entry level cabin, but spacious enough for 2 people. Housekeeping would usually clean the cabin when we are out for the first dive daily. Coming back to a nice clean cabin after the dive was such a nice feeling. Boat's facilities included many sun decks, jacuzzi, gym, spa, bar, restaurant, etc. The dive dhoni was the most perfectly designed dive boat i've ever been on. Nitrox was complimentary for nitrox divers. There was ample space to keep our equipment in a box given to each diver. Hangers were provided to hang our wetsuits between dives. our gear was rinsed every night with fresh water. The Dhoni crew was very helpful, always helping in every way possible. Dive guide was very experienced, and knew the currents and dive sites inside out. Overall, it was a wonderful trip. I would definitely recommend, and would definitely return in the near future.
