Review or Galileo cruise
While the ship was nice, it was in obvious need of updates. Additionally, we had to inform the accommodations director that our toilet was not properly affixed to the floor, as it rocked when sitting. Some of the outside steps had pieces of wood missing in the steps. Most of the crew were friendly, and the small number of passengers was refreshing. We were disappointed in the the level of communication from the cruise director, Katarina, regarding changes and alternatives. Information often times was stated just prior to the event, and in some cases not to everyone, including the crew. Additionally, in many cases, information provided by the cruise director, Katarina, was incorrect, and we and other guests managed to find the correct information and provided it to the cruise director. These misscommunications included items such as the last bus or ferry times back to the port/ship. In one particular case the communication was so bad, that there was one instance where the ship had to go back to the pier to pickup a crew member who was misinformed about the ship's departure time from that port. When we were tendered to a swimstop beach, there was no recourse for communicating with the ship in case of an emergency. Passengers were dropped off on the shores of an isolated rocky beach by themselves and you had to wait for the next tender to address any issues. We were informed tenders would be every 30 min. On one occasion we and other guests waited over an hour in hot sun, with no shade for a tender to come. Even giving the universal signal of waving arms widely, was not noticed by anyone on the ship for several minutes and with more than one person signaling. While "passenger safety" was touted as a reason for canceling tours and changing the itinerary, you couldn't tell that was a priority for the swimstops. The least they should have done was to have a crew member on the beach with a first aid kit and a radio. Only one tour out of four tours was made by the cruise. This necessitated us making our own arrangements at the last minute, again partly because of lack of communication from the cruise director, Katarina. If a tour was cancelled, a swim stop was scheduled in its place, which is a poor substitute. It was only due to the determination of certain passengers that they would end up having to organize their own tours without the ship's cooperation. Of course, the standard mantra was that the cruise company had the right to change the itinerary. Although Liveaboard's description did explain that gratuities were not included, there was no information about the cruise lines expectations regarding gratuities, which other guests were privy too before taking the cruise, and thus were prepared for. Additionally, once on board the ship, we were told that daily gratuities were expected at 13-15€ per day, per person, and were preferred to be paid in cash. At the end of the cruise, we were informed that gratuities were now expected to be 18-22€ per day, per person and preferred to be paid in cash. This left us in an awkward position, as usually, we pay with credit card, and while gratuities could be paid by credit card, there was a definite pressure to pay by cash.

The crew, food, and other guests made for a delightful experience.
I really enjoyed swimming off the boat and when we couldn’t do that, when we went to the small beaches. I liked getting to know everyone on board. Everyone was so nice and really looked after each other. One night we danced on the sun deck until late which was great fun. The crew was very attentive and helpful when I had questions or needed help.

Excellent
We were very happy with this cruise. The crew was amazing and always very informative about islands visiting. We had plenty of swim spots at amazing beaches. Service was wonderful and there is plenty to eat and drink. The cabins were small but often to be expected on a cruise. We would definitely do this cruise again!
