Highlights
Custom-built for divers, the Nautilus Belle Amie ship is the largest of the Nautilus Liveaboards’ fleet. With amenities akin to a floating boutique hotel, and a reputation for offering high-level service on board, the Nautilus Belle Amie accommodates 32 guests in 17 en-suite staterooms and suites. On the lower deck are 8 twin staterooms plus one affordable triple occupancy stateroom. The main deck has 2 premium suites, and 6 superior suites are on the wheelhouse deck. Bedding in the suites can be converted to twins or doubles. All rooms also feature individually controlled air-conditioning.
On the main deck is a large salon and dining area, where a fusion of Mexican and West Coast North American food is served. All dietary requirements, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, food allergy options, and quasi-kosher, can be catered to with prior notice. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks are buffet-style, and the evening meal is served plated buffet or family-style. There are two fully-stocked extensive bars on board, which include single malts, microbrews, and a large selection of wine. The large sun deck has space for everyone to enjoy lounging in the sun and a hot tub to warm up in-between dives or enjoy after diving with a drink and snack.
The heavy steel construction with stabilization of the Nautilus Belle Amie liveaboard means she was perfectly designed for ocean crossings to get divers to the world-class dive sites of the Socorro Islands or over to Guadalupe for up-close encounters with great white sharks. From November - June, the Socorro Islands are open to offering some of the best diving in the world. Friendly mantas, dolphins, humpback whales, pilot whales, and up to 10 species of shark are just some of the marine encounters the Socorro Islands offer. Or for those who want to get up close with great white sharks, the Guadalupe season offers from July - November each year. The large dive deck, onboard nitrox, and 3 large dive skiffs ensure an easy diving experience.
The Captain and crew of the Nautilus Belle Amie have heavily invested in crew training, equipment and safety measures to ensure all COVID-19 guidelines from the Mexican government including parks, port captain and the Mexican navy have been met.

Trip of a lifetime
I had the best time of my life in Gadualupe. In October and November, expect to see bigger females. I saw many sharks. I particularly enjoyed shark ID at the end of the day when we identified the sharks we saw from the shark log. The crew and other passengers onboard were all fantastic people.

Perfect trip start to finish. Every member of the staff was a pleasure, the boat ran more smoothly than any I've been on, and the diving was all I hope for and more. Excellent food, professional guides, and great value.

Awesome Manta, Dolphin, and Shark encounters
Best part of the trip are manta encounters - saw a manta breach after swimming with the dive group. Also the islands around Socorro are well protected, so this is a rare experience in terms of animals that are not afraid of humans due to fishing, etc. Only downside is that the trip to the islands is long and sometimes rough.

- Manta encounters (friendly intelligent mantas circling divers in search of bubbles), playful dolphins, Shark encounters (tons of white tip reef sharks, occasionally bigger sharks like hammerheads (rare) or Galapagos), pristine island environments.
Diving was spectacular, while everyone was nice, except for one dive master the rest were not up to snuff.
I really enjoyed the diving. Was not as diverse as Galapagos, but a lot of close diving with Mantas, sharks and whale shark, often just 1-2 feet away. One dive we spent 30 minutes with one manta and it then followed us around! One dive we were in the canyon with many many galapagos, silky, white tip reef sharks etc, all around us for 30-40min. Saw dolphins twice. The food was pretty good. But limited for vegetarians, often fell short and kept giving potatoes in every other meal. Last meal there was no vegetarian main course. I think they served guacamole for one meal and mexican food also only one meal. The boat is nice but outdoor space was only in the roof and the smokers also in the roof. For 31 people it was not enough. Though the Galapagos aggressor was not as nice a boat there were more outdoor spots to sit than in this. I would recommend Socorro, but maybe another boat.

The best dive and crew experience I’ve had
Virtually unlimited underwater time, multiple sharks on every dive that come right up to the cages, and a crew that makes you feel like family. I did this trip solo, and always felt included, valued, and looked after. It was the best travel and dive experience, and hopefully more than a once in a lifetime trip. Kudos to the Bella Amie team!

Absolutely Amazing!
We saw white sharks on every dive. The boat offers 5 cages so you never feel like you’re doing the same thing twice. Each night was a special event on the sun deck, including a complimentary wine tasting. The crew was top notch, friendly, and knowledgeable. I would definitely do this trip again!

Big boat lots of people, great DMs
The diving was amazing in Socorro but, the DMs made the experience that much better. I liked how they handled large groups of divers based on their own preference of diving style. It made for a healthy guest experience. Very interactive & entertaining with guests. Dive deck a little bit cramped and isn't the easiest on/off board although it is manageable all things considered. Amazing staff and experience
Yes, the diving was amazing. The boat was comfortable and extremely well-equipped. The thing that stands out about this trip, more than anything else, was the staff. Everyone from the captain and engineer, to the hostesses and cooks, to the divemasters and videographer were amazing. They were extremely good at their roles while being friendly, fun, and creating an amazing culture on the boat. I couldn't have asked for anything more and would book again!

The animals were amazing. The purpose of this trip was to see hammerheads and WOW!!!!, over 200 of them. Just like shark tank on TV. The crew were knowledgable and showed me things about my equipment. There were always goodies and treats to munch on. There was always plenty of hot water after the dives.

Superlative In Every Respect
Crew genuinely cared for each passenger and have a passion to serve. The diving is excellent. Cabins very modern snd comfortable. I’m a vegetarian and don’t like carbs. The head stewardess asked me “what do you eat at home” and they tried to make it for me. One time we were on the RIB about to set out to the dive site and my HP hose burst. The captain had my regulator off like a flash, handed it to a crew member to put on a new HP hose snd three minutes later we were off! They even noticed my gauge was in bar and substituted it for a bar HP hose. Incredible! Like the Captain said, we run a NASCAR like operation.

We have been on numerous liveaboards and the Belle Amie is exceptional. The boat is clean, comfortable and spacious. Crew are solicitous and friendly. Food and drink are plentiful and tasty. The definition of "Perfection"
From the moment we boarded the Belle-Amie, to the final goodbye's at the dive shop, I felt like I was in the best hands possible for this once in a lifetime experience. The crew is truly second to none. I know I've come away from this trip with lifelong friendships, forged underwater whilst dancing with dolphins, and on-board, whilst laughing non-stop with the kindest, funniest crew possible. The endless details of the Belle-Amie herself are too many to count. From the thoughtful sticky-pads on all the flat surfaces, ensuring our drinks and other items remained upright, to the ample outlets scattered throughout, which allowed all devices to be charged without worry, the Belle-Amie is a ship unlike any other. I have absolutely no idea how the kitchen staff managed to create the decadent meals they did, for a group as large, and a trip as long as ours, but it felt like we were dining in a 5-star restaurant each and every day. I could go on forever, but I'll leave it at this; I will cherish the memories made on this trip for the rest of my life, and look forward to making many more with the Nautilus crew in the future.

- It's difficult to choose the best three things, as everything was fantastic. If I had to, I'd say the incredibly kind & thoughtful crew, the majestic creatures of Revillagigedo, and the wonderfully maintained vessel, filled with too many thoughtful details to count. .
The service was excellent at all levels and the animals were spectactular.
The interactive dolphins and manta rays were amazing. The sea life in Socorro act like no place else in the world. You get close interactions and the manta rays will stay around for the whole dive. I have never seen so many and such a wide variety of sharks.

Shhhhhaaarrrkk
The whole process ran smoothly. Considering the amount of divers on board and the coordination of three submersible and two surface cages plus wranglers. The Belle Amine is an amazing experience. Of course, no one can guarantee the appearance of wildlife but we were lucky enough to see sharks everyday and multiple, up to ten sharks, at a time. The crew was great at getting to know everyone and talking about the sharks. This is definitely a trip I would go on again….and again.

A wonderful and memorable experience!
I realized that a lot of people in the world are not privileged to see such large majestic creatures up close and safely, which made me appreciate the experience so much more. I also enjoyed my time being surrounded by nature and hearing the sounds of the sea, as this was truly therapeutic. The supportive and helpful crew, who took the initiative to reach out and engage with me, made all the difference as well. I took pictures with them and included them on my FB page. Of course, traveling with fellow guests-- who at first were strangers-- and learning about their unique backgrounds, their enthusiasm and passion for the sea and their utmost friendliness also made the experience fun.

Trip of a Lifetime!
This was my first trip to Socorro and I came with high expectations and the trip on the Nautilis did not disappoint. There was strong commitment to safety since the crossing from Cabo to Socorro could be rough -- it really wasn't (I took one pill for the entire trip) -- and navigating the currents at the dive sites. The divemasters did a wonderful job of making sure the dive experience was enjoyable and minimizing the impact of currents, which you will have on every dive. The diving was fantastic with up close and personal encounters with manta rays up to 20 feet wide, dolphins, sharts (reef, Galopagos and Tiger) and much more. It was truly a trip of lifetime.

Comfortable spacious safety conscientious boat providing up close diving with the giant pacific manta and hammerheads!
Diving with the Nautilus Belle Amie was a most pleasant experience. The boat catered to all dietary needs, rooms were larger than most liveaboards I've been on, nitrox is available, and the boat was re-breather friendly. They focus on safety, providing each diver with a personal Nautilus Lifeline (GPS) unit to dive with, and always having a zodiac in the water watching while the different dive teams are out. The diving was so spectacular, I witnessed a plethora of sea life diving this bucket list place; schools of hammerheads, Galapagos sharks, Tiger shark, black Mantas up close, a pregnant hammerhead, listening to whales sing while diving, seeing a whale breach up close to the liveaboard, playing dolphins, watching silky sharks hunt, seeing a school of tuna and school of Pampano, as well as a very large tuna up close!

A truly memorable experience with friendly staff, excellent food and the most amazing diving.
We picked this trip as we had never seen an oceanic manta, they did not disappoint. In addition we saw dolphins up close underwater and numerous species of shark not seen before plus, on one dive, several amazing encounters with a whale shark. The organisation by the crew to ensure we had the best experience whilst on the boat was truly exceptional, nothing seemed too much trouble. Although the diving was intense, when out of the water we were able to relax and felt cared for by all the staff. Such a good trip with great memories to look back on, until the next time...

An unforgettable and memorable expedition
What an incredible diving experience - it delivered on every level with an abundance of sharks, inquisitive oceanic mantas, playful dolphins and even a whaleshark (super unusual at the time of year I was travelling!). The guides were incredibly professional, and all the boat crew took our safety to be their utmost priority but it never got in the way of us enjoying ourselves and experiencing everything that the Socorro islands had to offer! The meals and service and care from the hostesses was incredible, and we were also treated to interested and well delivered marine presentations from the divemasters. Sea of Cortez 30.07.-04.08.2022 exceeded our expectations by far. Jacques Cousteau called it the “Aquarium of the World” and we are grateful that we can confirm this. Beside beautiful marine life like octopus, loads of moray eels, sea horses, nudibranchs and much more our absolute highlights were the plenty of playful sea lions, the "aquarium" dives with thousands of colourful fish around us and on our last day we were so lucky to swim with the breath-taking ORCAS.
