Join Emperor Raja Laut for an exciting liveaboard dive adventure in Indonesia. Diving is offered year-round to some of the best spots in the region. Guests can enjoy thrilling diving in Komodo National Park from June to September. Visit world-class dive sites Castle Rock, Crystal Rock, and Manta Alley, with the chance to see the Komodo Dragon, manta rays, sharks, and much more. In November, she moves to the diverse region of Raja Ampat, the epicenter of the Coral Triangle, known as one of the most biologically diverse marine areas in the world. There are also a limited number of crossing trips each year, where the Emperor Raja Laut travels between destinations and visits the Banda Islands, where you visit rarely dived sites with the chance to see hammerheads, active volcanoes, amazing critters, and fantastic pelagic action on this once-in-a-lifetime trip. Diving occurs from the 2 large RIBs, and nitrox is available for those certified.

Topside, the Emperor Raja Laut liveaboard is a traditional Indonesian phinisi built from tropical hardwood, creating a regal feel as it sails through Indonesian waters. She accommodates just 12 guests in 6 en-suite cabins. There are 3 twins and 3 doubles, each with a mini-safe, storage space, en-suite bathroom, and individually controlled AC. Social areas include the fully air-conditioned lounge with a 49" TV, library, games, movies, and mini-bar, all located on the same deck as the cabins. Fabulous week in Komodo
We had a fantastic week aboard Emperor Raja Laut diving in Komodo for our honeymoon. Flor and Sophie guided us safely through 20 dives at a variety of sites with knowledge of and respect for the local reefs and wildlife. We saw a huge diversity of wildlife, including manta, turtles, octopus, cuttlefish, and countless nudi, among others. Sprinkled in were land excursions to see a local village, a pink sand beach, and two hikes - one with an incredible view of Padar island. The boat staff was lovely and kept us comfortable throughout our stay. FYI there can be strong current at some sites in Komodo, so this is not an itinerary for freshly certified divers.

A unique experience
Saw more than 15 mantas in Manta Alley in South Komodo. The sunset on the viewpoint was beautiful. Overall the trip was well planned. Apart from the amazing dives with Mantas, sharks, turtles, we also had a lot of fun on the land, visiting local village, Komodo dragons, sunset and thousands of bats.

Wonderful diving holidays on a great boat with a brilliant crew
We were only 9 divers on board, a diving group consisted of 3 guests plus a guide. That was great. The whole crew was super friendly and the food great. We had freshly baked bread every morning.Besides the diving area, which was of course fantastic, it was an all-round relaxed and great trip.

Our liveaboard to Misool and Central Raja Ampat was just wonderful. The abundance of fish, the healthy corals, and some of the 'big' attractions made the diving absolutely stand out. Add to that the great and fun group we had on board and the absolutely amazing, happy-energy crew, and this has just become a trip to remember. Furthermore, we loved the safety standards on board and we felt that the crew was in control of everything, including safety, throughout the whole trip (enabling us to have fun and not worry). Thank you Raja Laut and the amazing crew for an unforgettable trip!

A beautiful and very comfortable boat
Everything from start to finish was excellent- from quality of rental equipment to the lovely post dive drinks (juices or teas depending on weather). The crew were super nice and so helpful. Food was plentiful and excellent - bowls of fresh fruit available all the time.

Great Liveaboard in Raja Ampat
The Diving in Misool and Central Raja Ampat was world class! We saw a lot of different marine life and very healthy corals. Staff of Raja Laut was amazing and the customer service was great from the start to the end. The boat was really nice and sturdy, even when the seas were rough. Cabins were a bit small but very fuctional. I was lucky and had my own cabin, because the boat wasn't full. Overall incredible liveaboard.

The best boat, the best crew, the best diving
It was too good to be true :) Starting with the overwhelming underwater world and ending with every single detail of the trip - everything was unforgettable. The organization of all processes, timing, and crew coordination was at a superb level. As for the boat, I got a twin cabin all to myself at no extra charge (because there were only 11 guests in total). The cabin was very cozy and clean. Despite Raja Laut being a wooden phinisi, and even though my cabin was next to the engine room (and I’m a light sleeper), it was not too noisy for me. I actually loved having only 11 guests on board. It felt much cozier and friendlier that way - more like one team. The food was amazing: very tasty, with a great variety of choices. I have a meat allergy, and it was never a problem. We had 3 land excursions and 22 dives (+1 bonus dive), including one night dive. Personally, I would have loved even more night dives, because the reef life in Raja Ampat at night is even more fascinating. The only slight challenge was sleeping in the equatorial heat if you’re not comfortable sleeping with the air conditioning on. Overall, I’m very glad I chose the Raja Laut boat and the Emperor Divers team. It was the best trip of my life. Thank you!

What an adventure!
The trip was fantastic! The crew were so friendly, the diving was unbelievable and the boat was stunning. Only a couple of downsides - we were given a bunk room instead of a double bed which was a bit disappointing (but of course easy to remedy on future trips) and the current was quite strong on some dives and we were often instructed to swim against it, which is different to my previous dive experience and wasn’t all that pleasant! Despite that last bit I would absolutely do this trip again, just something to be aware of! A bit of fitness recommended to keep up

Wonderful experience with Raja Laut
I had a wonderful experience on Raja Laut. The crews were extremely helpful, they were accurate on daily diving plans, providing clear instructions on each dive, very tentative on security and always fast on responding everyone's needs. The food was tremendous considering the fact that the kitchen was tiny, the chief must have tried all he could to serve the guests with good food. Anyone who would love to enjoy a family vibe for a liveaboard trip, I'd highly recommend raja laut.

The liveaboard was just great! The crew was incredibly friendly and helpful – you felt in good hands right from the start. The dive guides were extremely professional, knowledgeable and had an incredible sense of showing us the most beautiful spots.The underwater world is breathtaking - colorful corals, fascinating sea creatures and unforgettable dives that will stay with you for a long time. Everything we hoped it would be
Small and intimate boat but still enough space for everyone. We were only 10 (instead of 12) guests, which was nice. Crew was both nice and efficient, the cruise director Guillaume gave excellent briefings. Food was very good and plenty, with vegetarian options (but don't expect what they show on their commercial images). We felt very well looked after. Diving in central & south Raja Ampat was spectacular. Just keep in mind that Raja Laut is a wooden boat and the generators run 24h, so bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. Also, it would have been nice to see the boat under canvas, but we understand that this would mean longer travel times and less diving. Overall, we truely enjoyed ourselves, and highly recommend the boat.

all divers were experienced so it made going to all dive sites possible. sleeping on deck was comfortabe! sometimes the cabin had a little smell (but normal on a boat), daily clean, has camera only space and tv with hdmi cable! crew is friendly!! food is mainly western & can get slightly repetitive!

Fantastic trip with a great crew
We joined this liveaboard in May and had an unforgettable trip. The crew was absolutely wonderful — kind, attentive, and always making sure everyone was comfortable and well taken care of. The food was excellent, with fresh, delicious meals that somehow got better every day. The boat was clean, well-organized, and thoughtfully run, making life on board easy and relaxing. Our dive guide was a bit quiet at the beginning and didn’t point out much underwater — it seemed like he expected us to explore and find things on our own. But after we shared some feedback, he became much more engaging and started showing us more marine life, which really elevated the experience. The only small downside is that all cabins are below deck, so you do hear the engine when the boat is moving. But that’s part of the liveaboard experience and easily outweighed by everything else that made the trip so special. Overall, a fantastic adventure — great diving, great people, and memories we’ll never forget!

A beautiful boat in a beautiful location
We visited a variety of sites, enjoying both macro life and pelagics like mantas and sharks. When we were in south Komodo, we were virtually alone; only one other dive boat was in the area. The reefs were so healthy with brilliant colors and abundant life. Our divemasters, Sophie and Flo, were wonderful hosts and guides. I enjoyed our shore excursions, hiking a tall peak for a great view and also seeing the Komodo dragons in the park. My week, we only had 7 divers out of the 12 possible, so we got very individualized service (and I had my own cabin!).

Forget everything and enjoy yourself at the Emperor Raja Laut
If you have doubts, don't worry. If you want a family and comfortable boat for diving, the Raja Laut is your place. Not fancy, but very comfortable and family-friendly. Nihed and all the staff will do what they can to make you enjoy. They will not assure you of seeing mantas or sharks, but they will do the impossible so that you can see them. Safe dives, first aid kit and extraordinary first aid. Very correct meals, you will not go hungry. And Komodo, an aquarium. Maybe some fslle diving, as in all trips but, in general, beautiful. Looking forward to returning. Thank you Nihed and thank you Raja Laut team, a luxury.
