The Philippines Aggressor II is a 42.7-meter/140-foot-long liveaboard offering diving trips for 26 passengers in 13 staterooms. On the lower deck are 8 twin staterooms with panoramic windows, and on the upper deck are 5 balcony suites. All cabins have a safe, a hair dryer, a private bathroom, and air conditioning. The onboard menu is diverse, including barbecue and local cuisine to satisfy every palate. Mornings start with fresh fruits, hot entrées, cereals, and juices, while lunches boast hot soups, homemade bread, salads, sandwiches, and/or entrées. The chef prepares the evening meals, which feature salads, seafood, beef, or chicken, followed by a homemade dessert.
The Philippines Aggressor II itineraries take guests to dive sites like Tubbataha Atoll and the Visayas/Cebu region. Trips offer the possibility to visit glorious reefs and see hammerhead sharks, manta rays, Moorish idols, Napoleon wrasse, parrotfish, eels, and more! Tubbataha Reefs National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with incredible biodiversity. Divers are taken to and from dive sites on two zodiacs. There are many pelagic encounters to be had and plenty of macro critters to photograph.

Exceptional crew and comfortable boat make for an unforgettable experience
I had a great trip on the Philippines Aggressor II in large part due to the crew who ensured every request was met and all efforts were made to make the guests feel at home. Despite the initially planned Cruise Director leaving after the welcome briefing and not coming back even though it was announced, the Cruise Director "in Training" (Moustafa) did a fantastic job accommodating special requests, guiding, planning the route around weather conditions and taking time to interact with everyone. My Dive Guide (Tisoy) is a local with plenty of experience in finding even the smallest critters on the reef and adapting each dive to the group preferences and speed on the spot depending on currents and minimising underwater contact with other dive groups. The other crew on board was always friendly, very helpful with everything from gear to fish ID and a seamless overall experience. One other mention is the comfort of the boat. The rooms offer plenty of storage and privacy, the mutual areas are spacious and well designed and the stabilisers on the boat reduce the movement to a minimum. I would be very happy to go again with Mustafa and his crew.

Excellent boat amenitiesVery attentive and friendly crewAs a downside, initially there were many dives scheduled on sandy bottoms, but since we had not been notified and people preferred to dive in corals, they changed the dive sites, so finally everything went very well and they immediately attended to our requests

Perfect liveaboard with mixed participants
From the beginning to the end perfect organized trip on a luxurious brand new boat. The whole crew gave their very best, outstanding an especially to mention was the Course director Moustafa Mousa Moubarak

Very enjoyable trip on a lovely boat
I had a wonderful time on the Philllipines Aggressor 2. The dive sites were varied and interesting, and the dive guides were knowledgeable and extremely safety comscious. The crew was very helpful. The food overall was good. As a vegetarian I expect an alternative option, ideally with protein, not just the meat meal without the meat. After a discussion with the stewardess on the first night after a disappointing first meal, this was remedied for all future meals. Our weather was not perfect but they kept us informed of all itinerary changes and we didn't miss any diving.

Beautiful boat and great diving
From enbarkment to disembarkment, the crew took great care of us! Carried the heavy things and helped us with everything they could. After some dives, we would get juice or a smoothie and some fresh fruit! In December the water was a lovely 29C! We saw thresher sharks! Everything was well organized, dives were on time and staff communicated any changes to us promptly.

Good boat and great dives
Lovely trip for sharks - from threshers and whale sharks. The crew takes pride in maintaining a clean boat and warm services. I fell sick during my stay and they took such good card of me :)

Incredible thresher sharks and outstanding crew, but underwhelming dive guiding
Overall, this was a mixed but ultimately worthwhile liveaboard—mainly thanks to the thresher shark encounters, the great dive sites, the excellent onboard crew, and the comfort of the boat. The atmosphere on board was pleasant and the staff did a great job keeping everything running smoothly. However, the diving and guiding fell a bit below expectations. The dive guide often seemed disengaged: he would swim ahead at his own pace without really paying attention to the group, and it felt more like he was simply “doing the dive” than actively searching for and pointing out marine life, to the point we had to complain. Our entire group were photographers and naturally moved at a slower, more deliberate pace, but he didn’t really adapt to that rhythm or keep the group together. In short: amazing thresher shark moments and dive sites, as well as outstanding crew, but dive guiding that didn’t match the level expected for this kind of trip.
