Exploring the best dive sites in the Northern Red Sea, the Freedom III liveaboard offers 3 - 6 night itineraries to world-famous dive sites of Ras Mohamed, Tiran, Thistlegorm, Dunraven, and the wrecks of Abu Nuhas. Dive facilities on board include a large dive platform at the boat's rear with two toilets/showers and individual set-up and gear storage areas. Nitrox is available for those certified.

Topside the Freedom III liveaboard caters to 20 guests in 9 en-suite cabins. Each cabin contains AC, TV, DVD player, mini-fridge, safe & hair dryer. Social areas include the indoor salon and dining area with large plasma TV, DVD player, music system, library, and 2 sun decks - one on the bow and one at the stern. The combination of the amazing crew, led by Mahmoud, and the stunning dive sites made it an unforgettable experience.
Crystal-clear waters, vibrant coral reefs, and an abundance of marine life left us in awe. We had the chance to explore a variety of dive sites, each offering a unique underwater world to discover. Back on the liveaboard, the crew took excellent care of us. The meals were delicious and catered to various dietary preferences. The cozy cabins provided a comfortable retreat after a day of diving, and the communal areas were perfect for relaxing and sharing stories with fellow divers.

Really good experience
We are very lucky that only a small number of discovers showed up, which made the boat less crowded and facilitated bonding with each other. I can imagine that the dynamic in a larger groups would be very different. The boat is well kept, the staff is amazing, helpful and professional. Diving is extraordinary. Overall would highly recommend.

Interesting first time experience
I just got my advanced certificate before the trip and had only 26 logged dives. The rest of guys were more experienced than me, so diving seemed a bit too advanced for me. I would probably prefer going OWD level. I have managed to do 1 night dive thanks to instructor holding my hand. People like me should arrange for a private instructor before the trip. Thanks a lot!

Great trip made even better by the crew and chef!
Overall this was a great liveaboard experience. The boat is slightly older but it does not try to be something it is not. It was a great liveaboard experience. Whilst the boat may not be the newest, the staff and crew are what made that boat truly special. The staff were so attentive that they were ready to come assist at a moments notice. There were often times I could have used some help but before asking, a crew member was there. It was also lovely to have Ziyad in the saloon greeting you so warmly every morning and at every meal. The cook also cooked some truly amazing meals. After a day of diving and on the ocean, you don't need pretentious dishes but homely delicious meals. And if there was something you wanted from the kitchen, the chef was more than happy to come and assist. Top quality food on board! I wouldn't hesitate to book again given the price and value of this liveaboard.

It wasn't pretentious or fancy for the sake of it but just delicious homely meals which is what you want after a full day of diving. I loved the food. Fantastic Liveaboard!
We saw sharks on three of the four dives on day 4. A hammerhead and a bunch of white tip sharks. Food was delicious. So many dives it was great, 4 dives a day for the three days and two to finish the last day.

Dive guide, Karim, was awesome. He gave fantastic briefings and knew the dive sites well. The food was amazing, delicious and a variety. I have a nut allergy and they were kind enough to make me alternative for the two dishes that had nuts. The dive sites were amazing.

The trip was simply amazing. The crew and captain Abdo are very friendly and helpful. The guides "Mustafa and Hani" knows the diving site very well. The food was fairly good always on time and variety is good enough. Rasmohammed Sharqs reef location is a must; we did 3 dives there and you simply can't get enough.

Very good first liveaboard experience
Great stay on board the freedom III despite a slight problem with room allocation (2 master cabins on the main deck, but only one with sea views..).Awesome crew and great food from the chef! A little disappointed not to have seen large animals (sharks, mantas, etc.) But obviously they have just left. The seabed was superb though!

Good Value Dive Trip
Had a wonderful short trip to the Dunraven and Straits of Tiran aboard Freedom III. Service was friendly and attentive from the moment I boarded until we left. The boat itself is somewhat no-frills but perfectly comfortable and all that's needed for a short trip. Food was plentiful and tasty. After-dive mangoes were the best I've ever had! The guides Mahmoud and Kareem were professional and did a good job - although Mahmoud could probably be a bit more relaxed and trust experienced divers to look after themselves a bit more. Kareem struck the exact right level of chill :) The only negative point from my point of view was the $55 they charged me for a "skills check" that lasted all of 5 minutes, as I hadn't dived for a few years (despite being a DM with nearly 400 dives over 30 years). I had no problem with doing a skills check but I felt $55 for it was a bit mean. But overall highly recommended if you're looking for a good value liveaboard experience.

Red Sea Diving from Sharm El Sheikh
This was my first Liveaboard trip, so it was amazing, yet a little tiring, to do 4 dives in one day (including a night dive). Seeing new species, such as the arabian angelfish, blue grouper, and napoleon fish was also nice. As well, the gorgonias were larger than anything I had seen elsewhere. Also, the scenery above the water along the Red Sea was very interesting. I plan to come back for my diving in the future.

The boat is clean and well maintained, The cabin was comfortable and food very good. The dive sites are very nice. Unlike my previous experience on other live aboard you cannot dive only with your buddy, its all guided dives and the guide is micromanaging the divers which was frustrating. They won't let you dive to your credentials no matter how experienced you are. I wish the rules (guided group only, 30 m max) were available at booking time, I would probably have booked another trip. Less experienced divers might find this trip perfectly suitable for their needs, though

It was all good in general except for the cabin where the aircon was not working but they put me in another one with decent ventilation, I dived with the same company the previous days and I was tol the liveaboard was in different sites, but a lot of the sites where the same, and the night dives were basically a short dive under the boat. Not bad but I expected more

Cheap and cheerful short liveaboard
Good short diving trip on a no-frills but comfortable boat. Two dive guides for a group of 11 divers. Food was tasty and chef Sameer made wonderful cakes to celebrate a birthday and someone’s 400th dive.

Great diving experience in the Red Sea!
Thistlegorm could be seen 100 times and you still wouldn’t get sick of it. It really is something special. Compliments to the chef who made such a variety of food for every meal. There was something for everyone. The briefings for the dives were detailed and even gave back stories to the wrecks and the reefs. The dive masters knew where to find different wildlife and took care of the group while giving those space that wanted it. The rooms were nice and the environment was social. The whole experience on this boat was a highlight.
