Highlights
SuprabA is a medium-sized phinisi built for open-sea navigation and scuba diving. It was constructed by skilled craftsmen in South Sulawesi, using traditional methods and materials. Pinisi, the art of boatbuilding in South Sulawesi, is a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The design of SuprabA merges South Sulawesi boat-building tradition with Western classic sailing yachts. The SuprabA’s seven sails total 210 square meters. The interior layout follows the scheme of classic Western yachts, and the guests’ living areas were designed to respect the occupants’ privacy. The interiors, which combine teak and ironwood, are decorated with classic Indonesian handicrafts, antique lamps, and traditional bronze portholes.
Accommodation on board consists of 6 luxury cabins with air conditioning and ensuite bathrooms for 12 guests (an additional 2 guests are allowed), an air-conditioned galley and living room, 3 open decks, and a terrace at the stern. Delicious Indonesian and international cuisine is served on board, and menus are personalized according to the guests’ tastes and requests. Fish barbecue is a classic dining experience on our dive safaris. A beach barbecue is also available upon request.

Supraba made Raja Ampat a trip of a lifetime
Diving in Raja Ampat was a bucket list destination and the Supraba made the experience even more memorable. The wildlife and coral far exceeded expectations. Maxi, the cruise director, always gave clear, specific instructions on each day’s itinerary and was transparent upfront if schedules had to be changed due to unexpected events. LiKe, our dive master, and the rest of the boat crew gave us undivided rockstar attention, thoroughly spoiling us by preparing our gear so that we didn’t have to lift a finger. The food was superb. Huge shoutout to Gibson and John who prepared a huge array of delicious dishes for our breakfasts, lunches, teatime snacks, dinners, within the confines of a boat kitchen, including baking loaves of fresh bread! On the final day of the liveaboard, Maxi and team surprised us with an unexpected musical serenade. This is an incredible all-star team which we wouldn’t hesitate to join again. You won’t regret going with Supraba.

A truly fantastic experience in Komodo National Park
I had a totally fantastic 5D/4N on Supraba. The crew were all completely lovely and hospitable. The chef prepared exceptional meals and no one was left hungry. The diving was next level, a good combination between relaxed and challenging and you could really see how knowledgable the dive guides were. The crew prepared everything around the dives and we didnt have to lift a finger. The room was cool and comfortable (I was solo in the single bed room). The boat itself was quite beautiful with lots of spots to relax in the sun or shade. Aside from the diving the Komdo Dragon trek was a highlight as was the Padar sunset hike. Thanks to everyone on Supraba for making my first Liveaboard such a positive experience!

1000% recommend the Supraba. It will not disappoint!😎
I was the only snorkler in our group. Maxi the cruise Director made sure I had a dedicated crew member looking after me whilst I was in the water. Safety came first! They made me feel like I was treated like a VIP. The attention to detail from the chefs with every meal served.(fresh baked bread morning). I felt that I received more than what I paid for. We also did trips to shore. Trekking to lookouts, the Blue River and 4x4 driving to see the Wilson bird of Paradise. I felt included with the divers as every dive there was a safety brief soo everyone knew what the plan was. Everyone from the Captain to the deckhands worked together as a team to ensure our happiness. Accomodation was amazing with ensuite with a queen size bed. Raja Ampat is paradise and the Supraba and crew showcased it for me. 100% recommend 🙂

The dive trip of a lifetime, with a ship and crew and marine life that superlatives just don’t do justice to.
I can’t say enough about the Supraba and her crew, including Maxi, Gibo, Ahsef, John, Like, Achman and all the others. They truly made this trip the most wonderful dive trip I’ve ever had. The dive sites in Central Raja Ampat were so pristine it was like those dive magazine spreads you just can’t believe aren’t AI, or those documentaries you’re sure depict places that no longer exist. But they exist, and this ship and crew make the journey magical and wonderful!

Simply Outstanding
I’m an avid diver, but my wife does not dive. This was to be our first live-aboard, and we weren’t sure what to expect, or if Jenny would even enjoy it. However, we needn’t have worried because it was a massive success and simply amazing. We were made to feel right at home from the get go. In fact, we very much felt a part of the ship’s family. The cabin was super comfy and the rest of the ship and its facilities super nice, with the food and service faultless. I mentioned Jenny isn’t a diver, but the itinerary served her needs just as much as it did mine. The shore excursions included Komodo Dragons, Pink, Black and White beaches (all at the same time), Fruit Bats at sunset, magical sandbars with baby sharks and much more. The diving was super nice, with wall to wall corals (which were really healthy), and lots of interesting marine life, including manta, sharks, rays and turtles, expertly led by Savri. Truly a 5* experience and one that didn’t happen by accident. Massive congrats to Ugo and Ida for the love and effort they’ve obviously put into Supraba and the whole team.

10/10 diving and experience - thank you!
Our experience aboard Supraba was 10/10. The diving was exceptional, and our dive guide Charles was extremely knowledgeable about the currents, coral and marine wildlife, and very professional, giving us the best experience and always making us feel safe. The boat was very clean and comfortable with everything we needed to enjoy our stay, the team were welcoming and friendly, and all of the food was outstanding (big thank you to our chef and assistant chef)! A huge thank you to Masnun and the whole team for an unforgettable experience, we will definitely be back! Terima kasih :)

Smaller ship = less guests = more attention from dive guides
The Supraba is a smaller ship that has only 6 guest cabins, so typically a max of 12 guests. On this trip I was a solo guest with 5 couples. There are usually 2 dive guides, so divers are split into two groups. Additionally, if there are guests that snorkel, there will be a guide with them also. Our group had 6 divers with one that also snorkeled, so there were times each guide only had 2 or 3 divers. There are a variety of cabin styles. I was in the Wisnu which is probably the larger of the cabins. Each cabin had A/C and ensuite bathrooms with shower. The Wisnu cabin had good cabinet space in addition to a closet space. Some rooms did not have any cabinet or closet space. My cabin had a heavy wooden sliding door that would stick frequently making it very difficult at times to open. All meals were served outside unless bad weather and then would be moved into the inside lounge which is pretty small. Fortunately, we had nice weather. The meals all had an Indonesian flare and somewhat repetitive. Usually included fish, shrimp, chicken and/or beef. If you are not a fan of Indonesian food/spices, you will not have much choice. The crew was very attentive and pleasant. Most spoke English to varying degrees. The dive guides and cruise director spoke fairly good English. All dives were from two dinghies. You put your BC o in the dinghy which was very awkward. The diving included 3 day dives with a night dive most nights. Initially, the guides concentrated on finding macro ritters that most of us could not see without taking a photo and magnifying. After discussions with the guides, they changed to larger animals. The visibility was not as good as I hoped, but still in the 30-40 foot range. The water temperature was around 82 – 84 degrees. Being a smaller ship, the dive set up area can get a little crowed for suiting up in a wetsuit. The BC/tanks/fins are always ready in the dinghies. Entry is a backtroll. When finished diving, you hand your camera/BC to the dinghy driver then you fins, then climb the short ladder hanging over board. The cruise director was very meticulous with his schedules and could get a little snippy if anyone caused a variance. While the crew was very pleasant and attentive, the cruise director ruled with an iron hand. If you like liveaboards, but not the crowed ship, the Supraba is a good alternative.
