Highlights
The KLM Gaya Baru Indah is a traditional sailing phinisi offering liveaboard diving around Indonesia's 'Bird's Head Seascape', which includes Raja Ampat. She typically only takes 8 guests per cruise, meaning a more personalized and intimate service. There are 4 cabins available; two double cabins and 2 twin cabins, each with air-conditioning, fan, and reading light. There are 3 shared bathrooms on the upper deck with freshwater showers, shampoo, soap and a toilet. There is ample room to relax and enjoy the stunning surroundings aboard the Gaya Baru Indah liveaboard. During the day, awnings are set up to provide shade from the hot tropical sun, and in the evening, they are drawn back to make way for stargazing. Three delicious meals per day plus plenty of snacks are prepared with a mix of Indonesian and western cuisine. The Gaya Indah Baru has 13 crew catering to 8 passengers, meaning someone is always available to help the valued guests enjoy their trip to the maximum.
Itineraries are from 7 up to 12-days long, with night dives being offered throughout the trip. Dive groups are kept small with no more than 4 divers per guide, so ensure everyone gets the most out of every dive. Raja Ampat is quickly becoming known as one of the best places on earth to dive due to the extreme bio-diversity it offers. Raja Ampat offers the chance to see rays, sharks, colorful coral reefs and large schools of tropical fish, and the highlight of the cruise - whale sharks. The Gaya Baru Indah also visits Triton Bay and the Banda Sea, two more iconic dive areas with some of the best diving Indonesia has to offer. The shaded dive deck has ample space for individual gear storage and rinse tanks, and nitrox is included complimentary for those certified.
The Gaya Baru Indah is a fantastic budget option for a dive liveaboard to Raja Ampat, Triton Bay, the Banda Sea, and beyond. To reserve your space, call us or book online today.

Exceptional liveaboard with outstanding value for money
Experienced a fantastic and extraordinary liveaboard. The boat is spacious and yet designed for only 8 guests and therefore offers plenty of space to relax between dives and in the evening. The cabins are air-conditioned and offer enough space. The crew is very friendly and helpful. On our trip, there were 10 employees on board and thus an exceptional student-to-student ratio. The food is prepared by 2 chefs and is always rich, fresh, varied and very tasty. The dive guides have a lot of experience and knowledge of the individual dive sites, as well as a good eye to discover many different, even the smallest animals. The selected route and divesites are varied and offer versatile experiences and impressions of the beautiful Raja Ampat. In addition to the diving program, additional shore excursions were also offered.

Best liveaboard ever!!
The whole crew including the diving master are 10 people and the guest are only us 5 people. Every day is so well planned with best diving sites no people at all in the south of Misool and all the best food and afternoon desserts. All the crew are soooo welcoming and lovely with smile and happiness every day. The diving sites in the south are soooo quiet even no divers at all always only us and the sites itself are all very clear and all fish walls and colorful corals. We saw mantas, sharks, countless nudibranches, turtles, squids, octopus etc. And at very last few day we asked for a boat tour around the islands too, the boss said yes also. It was a very good cruise too around those islands. It was such a nice liveaboard experience!!

Small intimate boat with a great crew
Thoroughly enjoyed the Southern tour to Misool with the Gaya Baru Indah crew. They were accommodating with vegan options and there was plenty of tofu, tempeh and veggie dishes, even egg free pancakes. The best dives were at Four Kings when we were lucky to encounter more than 8 manta rays. The rooms are cosy, with enough shelving and the fans were adequate to cool you down without AC.

Unforgettable Liveaboard Experience in Raja Ampat
My time on Gaya Baru Indah was simply incredible. The diving was, without a doubt, the best I’ve ever experienced—stunning dive sites, well-planned dives, and small groups led by truly experienced dive masters. Each dive was long, immersive, and absolutely breathtaking. The food on board was another highlight—delicious, authentic Indonesian cuisine that I looked forward to at every meal. The crew was amazing, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made the trip even more special. While the cabins and facilities are quite basic, the true luxury of this liveaboard is the exceptional diving and fantastic food. The boat itself is a beautiful, traditional Indonesian vessel that adds to the charm of the experience. A huge thank you to Ralf and his entire crew for making this an unforgettable adventure. As a solo traveler, I felt completely comfortable and well taken care of. If you're looking for an authentic and extraordinary diving trip in Raja Ampat, this is the perfect choice!

Great value, good quality, intimate liveaboard.
Everything was run smoothly and efficiently, with only 8 guests onboard it fostered a great atmosphere onboard. The food was some of the best i've had on a liveaboard, its simple but complete and very tasty, catering to all dietary needs. The land excursion was an unexpected highlight and the diving was amazing. Unfortunately we didn't see any hammerheads but that is diving - we saw plenty of other life that compensated for this.
