The luxury Emperor Explorer yacht schedules year-round dive safaris in the Maldives. Designed to meet divers' needs, Emperor Explorer comfortably accommodates 26 guests in 13 cabins. Each stateroom features a private en-suite bathroom, individually controlled AC and fan, storage space, and charging ports. There are twin- and double-bed cabins, and the option to upgrade to main- or upper-deck rooms, which also feature stunning sea views.
Emperor Explorer Maldives has numerous social and relaxation areas around the boat. The upper deck has an open-air terrace, and on the top deck is a large sundeck with loungers. The main deck is home to the air-conditioned salon with sofas and TV, and home-cooked meals with a complimentary glass of wine at dinner are served at the al-fresco dining area located at the stern.
Emperor Explorer offers a variety of itineraries around the world-class dive sites for which the Maldives are known. Choose from the 'Best of the Maldives' to truly experience the magic of the Maldive Atolls and deliver 7 days of fantastic diving at the iconic sites of the North and South Male Atolls and Ari Atoll, or the ‘Hanifaru & North’ itinerary, which gives guests a chance to get up close and snorkel with giant mantas in the bay. Diving takes place from the accompanying dhoni, which has plenty of space for gear storage and kitting up, making getting to and from the dive sites hassle-free. Complimentary nitrox is available for certified divers.

I had the pleasure of traveling with the Emperor Liveaboard in the Maldives best of male and it was simply a perfect experience from start to finish! From the very beginning, the organization was professional and seamless. The crew on board is not only incredibly friendly but also highly skilled and attentive. You feel welcome and well taken care of at all times. The dives were absolutely spectacular from majestic manta rays and curious reef sharks to vibrant coral reefs. The dive guides know the sites inside out and ensure every dive is both safe and unforgettable. The boat itself leaves nothing to be desired: clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. The cabins are cozy, the sun deck is perfect for relaxing, and the food is varied and truly excellent. What stood out most to me was the perfect balance between a relaxed atmosphere and professional service on board: a great mix of adventure, relaxation, and community. I can wholeheartedly recommend the Emperor Liveaboard in the Maldives and would book again anytime. Definitely a 5-star experience!

Wonderful experience with Emperor Explorer
We were on our first dive by 6:30 a.m each morning. The staff was amazing and every detail was cared for to make a smooth 4 dives during our day.

Excellent first liveaboard - definitely recommend
Brilliant trip, visibility was slightly less good than I had expected due to seasonality but there were some fantastic dives. The boat was great and the crew were amazing

Sharktastic !!!!
Every dive is different, shark TV do to speak, Mantas, Mola Mola, sharks all sizes, whale shark, Dolphin’s by night at the back of the boat, very effusively trip, super well organised, confortable as possible ! The Mola mola was an unexpected chance :)

Perfect liveaboard
We were lucky enough to snorkel with whale sharks several times and the manta encounters were perfect. The team had a good one. On the way! For the dive sites and the teams on board and on the Doni super nice and helpful

Great week of exciting diving on a spanking new, sparkling clean and luxurious boat
I've been on many liveaboard boats and - when it comes to quality of service and the class of the boat this one was the best. The route covered all the highlights including manta cleaning stations, snorkeling with whale sharks, diving in channels filled with sharks and rays, beautiful coral gardens (the biggest surprise, as I had the presumption that the coral is all dead in the Maldives). Great selection of food, additional attractions like visits to uninhabited islands and fantastic atmosphere made me decide to stay with Emperor for another, unplanned week!

A great week with lots of great sightings
The whole week went very smoothly and the sightings on the dives were mostly very worthwhile. Crew was helpful and dive guides organized the diving well. Food was very good. Little downside was the smoking policy (there were many smokers amongst guests and crew) - the smokers gathered in front of the entrance door, one had to always walk through and some smoke made it in the dining room. On other boats the smokers were only o the top deck, which makes sense. Also there was a large group from Dubai who behaved as the boat was theirs, what wasn't the fault of the boat crew, but still a nuisance.
