The M.Y. Gypsy is a 24.3-meter/80-foot-long liveaboard accommodating 8 guests in 4 cabins in the Philippines. These include an owner’s suite, a master bedroom, and two twin-bedded cabins, each with en-suite bathrooms and air-conditioning. Onboard facilities include a spacious flybridge with multiple seating areas, a sun deck with bean bags, a chill lounge with soft seating, and a minibar.
International cuisine meals are served between dives, from light breakfasts to full dinners. Great way to check off many of the incredible dive sites in the Visayas and the only way to experience the threshers of Malapascua. The crew members were happy, friendly, knowledgable, professional, and always helpful. Food was delicious and the small group vibe felt like diving with family.

A wonderful experience with the MY Gypsy crew
We had the chance and great pleasure of spending a wonderful week of diving with the MY Gypsy team from November 20 to 27, 2025. We are a couple in our sixties with more than 700 dives over the past 30 years. We have often traveled to the Caribbean (Cozumel, Curaçao, Bonaire), Indonesia (Raja Ampat, Bunaken, Bali), and the Maldives. We usually stay in hotels or Airbnb-style accommodations, and this was only our second liveaboard experience. The MY Gypsy is a boat that accommodates a maximum of eight guests. During our trip, we were six guests onboard, with eight crew members. The service was outstanding, the dives were spectacular, the briefings were relevant and clear, and safety was always a priority. Meals were served at the table—varied, generous, consistently excellent, and often refined. Christian Junior, our dive guide, was fantastic at drawing our attention to the tiny, almost invisible creatures. The entire crew was attentive, friendly, and always one step ahead of our needs, without ever being intrusive. We had the largest cabin, which was comfortable, spacious, and impeccably clean. We extend our warmest thanks to the whole team for this memorable stay. .

Great Gypsy!
This is so far the best boat i booked by liveaboard.com. Gypsy is not a big boat but doesnt miss any confort and was very clean. The itinerary was perfect including the best spot and diving time was unbeatable because we were always arriving before the crowd! The boat worth 10 stars also for the crew, veryone of them, hard workers, very professional and qualified from the cooker to the divemaster. Helping from the beginning to the end of the day with endless attentions. Honestly their service it has been definitely the best I've ever received. Thanks to everyone and a special one to Damron my diving leader, very prifessional and skilled underwater spotters! (of course thresher&whale shark and a lot of critters and biodiversity)

The boat was spotless—so clean you could practically eat off the deck (though with the food they served, you’d never want to!). 🍲 Food Worth Writing Home About I didn’t expect to rave about soups on a dive trip, but here we are. Every meal was delicious, but the soups were the kind of comfort food that made you look forward to mealtimes almost as much as the dives. Rich, flavorful, and clearly made with love—they were five-star dishes floating on the ocean. I kept telling my dive buddies, “This soup alone is worth the trip!” 🤿 Crew That Made the Ocean Feel Like Home The dive crew was outstanding. They weren’t just there to guide us—they genuinely cared about making each dive special. Whether it was helping us gear up, pointing out hidden gems underwater, or just sharing their enthusiasm, they made the whole experience feel personal and fun. 🛟 Safety Without Stress What really stood out was how smoothly they handled safety. Getting in and out of the water was organized and calm, and during the dives, you could tell safety was always the top priority. It gave me total peace of mind, so I could just relax and soak in the underwater magic.

Fantastic Experience
Tubbataha itself is a great location where to dive especially if the boat is comfortable and the crew including dive guides are reliable. Capitan drove smoothly and between dives was able to lay on couch enjoying sunset and relaxing. Food was good, maybe need to increase the variety of dishes but all was prepared in a nice way. There was an emergency aboard and the crew reacted quickly and with knowledge and that helped a lot.

Beautiful encounters on and under the water
We really liked the format of only four cabins, especially since the other guests were extremely friendly. The staff is very smiling, efficient and friendly. The Dive Sites are chosen according to the weather, of course, we had the chance to do three Dive with the Fox Sharks. The boat is overall very comfortable and well maintained. The diving equipment is top-notch.

Wonderful experience with amazing people and I can’t wait to do it again.
I really enjoyed my stay on the MY Gypsy! It helped that we had a great group as well. The staff was wonderful and was there for every need. My guide was J.R. and he could pick out threshers or a manta ray way out in the blue or the tiniest little nudi. I came for the threshers and this trip DID NOT disappoint. We were lucky to get 4 thresher dives in and one was at 6am. It was phenomenal. No one else around until the end of the dive. Now, let’s talk about the food. It.was.superb. Every meal was better than the last. Even the soups were ever so delicious. You won’t be disappointed and may not fit into your wetsuit at the end of the trip. The whole organization was great. Very thorough dive briefings. Staff took care of all the equipment and all I had to do was bring my mask and computer on the “speedy” boat that brought us to the dive sites. No lugging tanks or dive equipment around. They wouldn’t even allow me to hang my own wetsuit. It was a lovely vacation. I will absolutely be back for the Tubbataha Reef route. I can only hope I have divers and staff as amazing as this trip did. There were a lot of laughs. Apéro!
