This is also where will you enjoy the International and Indonesian dishes that the head chef has prepared. Vegetarian and Vegan requests can easily be accommodated with advance notice.
For further relaxation there are also outdoor living areas where you can lounge in reclining chairs enjoying the tranquil ocean breeze. The dive deck is located at the back of La Galigo with plenty of space to kit up and enjoy the spectacular scuba diving of Raja Ampat and sail through the beauty of stunning cliff formations. Ultimate Dive Experience
Hanging in current at the Cauldron watching a free diver swim among Mantas, pygmy seahorses and the friendship that developed between a group of strangers.

A first liveaboard experience that will be hard to out-do.
The overall experience delighted me. When I thought "that last dive was the best dive", it was out done on the next dive. The hard working crew went out of their way to insure everything was perfect. If there was a small glitch (because nothing in life is perfect), they would see to it immediately. The ship is beautiful and easily felt at home for 8 days.

Amazing!
We had the best time on the La Galigo back in September 2018! We took the Komodo trip and the entire crew made the experience beyond incredible! The rooms are large, the food was excellent and the diving was superb. We absolutely want to join a trip in Raja Ampat in the future aboard the La Galigo!

Great way to meet Raja Ampat
Raja Ampat is amazing! Beautiful healthy coral, lot's of schooling of fishes of all sizes, from tiny bobtail squids, cuttlefishes, nudis, pigmy seahorses, all the way to huge mantas, lobsters and even a crocodile we saw (safely from the boat). The team did their best to make our visit there as productive, safe and relaxing as possible. We saw and experienced everything we expected, and some things we didn't expect. Our dive guide was very experienced and safe (kept divers safe from currents and kept coral safe from divers). The cabin had AC, and a private toilet/shower, which was great, but it also had cockroaches that we found on our pillow or at midnight when it landed in a leg, and the one day that rained (we had great weather), some small water leaks in our bed. Note we visited near the end of the season (boat will go to drydock in a few weeks for fixing), and we saw the leaks had been attempted to be patched (partially successfully) already, and when we saw a couple of cockroaches in the dinning area, the crew immediately killed them.

A dream holiday
The diving was amazing, so much life on some of those reefs and great to see healthy coral. We loved the whole liveaboard experience and we were so well looked after. The food was just amazing and yummy.

- We got so well looked after both diving and just being onboard. The food was delicious and there was so much variety. Enjoyed the beautiful sunset walks and loved seeing the bats.
Best diving I have ever done
Highlights of my trip included... Getting to dive in currents that I have not experienced until Komodo. Aquatic life including sharks, mantas, turtles with great macro diving at night. Well balanced as we dove frequently but also got to trek through Rinca National Park, climb a small mountain in Pulau Komodo, and see the flying foxes at Pulau Kalong. DL

Our experience on the La Galigo was most excellent!
The highlights of this trip surrounded the attention to the dive site itinerary. The trip planners and the dive guides balanced the weather with the dive sites to assure optimal exposure to the best possible dive sites. The entire crew could not have been more friendly, and their attention to detail and commitment to ensure an enjoyable trip was quite evident. Chief Gibo was most pleasant and attentive to the dietary needs of the passengers and prepared some excellent dishes every meal...the barbecue on the last evening was top notch! Dive guides Fendy and Dody were both excellent guides and made every dive insightful and enjoyable as well as safe. My wife and I had a spectacular trip and give the La Galigo and her crew our highest recommendation!

- The three best things about this liveaboard were: 1) the dive itinerary; 2) the dive guides; and 3) the chief and his food!
An exceptionally delightful diving holiday
Seeing schooling barracuda and marbled moray eels swimming out of their holes aboard a wreck. The chef made a big effort to cater to our needs. More veg, less meat would be my suggestion. There's no point cooking steak in Thailand. Stick to the local fare!

An absolutely amazing dive trip on a beautifully reconstructed classical Indonesian boat
All of the dive sites in Komodo NP were amazing but specially one dive site called "Shot Gun" was the best and so much fun----this is a narrow passage between 2 islands. We wait for the tides to change and dive in with a reef hook ready, then wait in the middle of the channel to see all sorts of creatures flying by. A huge Manta flew by just 1m from me was an unforgettable experience! The sights of Komodo dragons on the island of Rinca on the last day of our trip was another highlight for me. The crew was so polite and well trained who pampered us from the beginning to the end of our trip. The equipment I hired was a top quality and the food was awesome!

Amazing Adventure
An amazing experience on every level. The diving was amazing with so much variety even in only one week. We also had the opportunity to take some excursions such as hiking where the scenery was truly exotic and even had the opportunity to meet some of the locals on out islands. The food was fantastic! (Hats off to our chef Raja). And, we also had the unexpected pleasure of having the owner on board with us who made sure we got the best experience possible. The marine life in this area of the world is unparalleled. Everything from pygmy seahorses to 6 meter mantas. Furthermore the variety of dive sites and experiences was superb. Walls, reefs, slopes, gardens, drift diving and the list goes on. With four dives a day, we got to see a lot of the best sites. And to top it off, we were almost, with only a few exceptions, the only boat there. The small size of the boat (13 guests) allowed for some great friendships to emerge. Looking forward to staying in touch with new friends. Can't say enough about it. It's the best dive trip I've taken to date!

Outstanding experience through and through
La Galigo is really a very high quality liveaboard. The rooms are small, as expected, but comfortable enough. The crew is unbelievably outstanding, so friendly, ever willing to go out of their way to cater to your comforts and interests. The food was delicious, the non-diving activities provided perfect interjections and as much said about the diving, it will not suffice. It was just absolutely out of the top drawer. Well, well worth the money spent. Thank you once again to everyone on the boat.

Making friends with whole crew (Tom really takes personal pride in his boat, his crew and the experience of his customers). The selection of dive sites, all amazing and the guides ability to spot and ensure the whole group saw everything was the best I have experienced in almost a dozen liveaboard trips! Overall it was a great trip.
Had a superb dive master who knew the dive sites very well. Saw numerous giant mantas up close, sharks, octopus, macros in dives and even got to see dolphines as well. On the last day, went on a trek to see Komodo dragons which was fun also. Overall a wonderful experience, with great crew on a nice liveaboard boat. Happy to recommend La Galigo if you want an amazing Komodo diving adventure!
