The Ghazala Explorer liveaboard in Egypt is a modern 37mtr/121ft motor yacht offering itineraries throughout the Red Sea area. It can take up to 24 guests in 12 air-conditioned, ensuite cabins, consisting of 9 twin bed and 3 double bed cabins, including suites. Ghazala Explorer has a spacious, bright indoor dining and lounge area for guests to enjoy prepared meals or relax with a drink. There is a sun deck with seating areas, bean bags, and either covered or open areas for those who prefer to be in the sunshine. A large dive deck to the rear allows storage of dive equipment and plenty of space to get ready for dives, and the rear platform makes getting on and off the tenders more accessible.

I look back on a fantastic week.
My 15th liveaboard and by far the best. The welcome was warm, the crew is extremely helpful and friendly. The dives are well briefed and supervised. Those who wanted to could dive unaccompanied. Always felt safe. Even though I had done this tour 4 times, they still showed other reefs. The boat was quite comfortable and neat. It is also nice that there are plenty of sunbeds in the sun so that you can warm up between dives now that it was a bit colder season. Wide range of decent towels and bathrobe when you get out of the water and stand in the wind. After the dive, the crew was ready to help you take off your wetsuit, they rinsed it for you and hung it up which is nice when you are shivering from the cold. The food was tasty and varied. There was also always a fruit basket that was replenished daily. A big plus was the coffee machine with delicious coffee that is included. That also brings me to the fact that there are no hidden costs.

An Unforgettable First Liveaboard Experience
This was my first liveaboard trip, and I originally chose the Ghazalla Explorer because I saw it was the top-rated boat—and those ratings were absolutely right! The fact that most of the divers onboard were returning guests, some for the third time or more, says everything about how good this boat really is. The crew and the dive masters were incredibly friendly, extremely helpful, highly professional, and genuinely kind. The food was excellent. I had brought plenty of snacks with me just in case—I’m a bit of a picky eater, especially with sweets—but I didn’t touch anything I brought until the very end of the trip. That’s how good the meals were! The weather, the dive deck, the dive sites, and even the fellow divers were all fantastic. I’m really happy I booked this trip at the last minute, and I’m definitely coming back again—I honestly cannot wait to book again and try the north itinerary!

From start to finish - Top
First of all - what can be done better? - To book two weeks on the ship. It was a great experience from start to finish. The pick up from the airport worked perfectly. On the ship I was warmly welcomed. The ship is great. The crew was always helpful and nothing was left to be desired. The food was delicious. The dive guides were all very knowledgeable and you felt very safe, even at unfamiliar dive sites. In summary, it was a very great trip and I am looking forward to the next one with Ghazala Explorer next year. Out of 100 points, I give the team, the ship and the dive guides 150 points. 10/10, would book again
This was my first liveaboard and it far and away exceeded my expectations. The staff was incredible - they were so attentive I felt like a helpless baby. I didn't put my own fins on all week and every time I turned around someone was there to help me into/out of my wetsuit. The guides were awesome and the rest of the crew was amazing, especially the chefs - the food was delicious. The boat and rooms were very spacious and it had everything you could want or need for a week on board. I would 100% recommend this liveaboard and would book the Ghazala Explorer if I returned to the Red Sea (there were several people on the boat who were repeat customers).

A liveaboard that will be remembered
I don't even know where to start. The staff was super helpful and friendly. The dive guides were always looking for great dive sites and were super professional. The food was excellent every day, there was something for everyone. Vegetarians have also been thought of! The evenings with the other fellow travelers were always very fun, they exchanged pictures, danced or just talked.I can only recommend the Ghazala Explorer to anyone who wants to go on a liveaboard in the Red Sea!
