The Ghazala Explorer liveaboard in Egypt is a modern 37mtr/121ft motor yacht offering itineraries throughout the Red Sea area. It can take up to 24 guests in 12 air-conditioned, ensuite cabins, consisting of 9 twin bed and 3 double bed cabins, including suites. Ghazala Explorer has a spacious, bright indoor dining and lounge area for guests to enjoy prepared meals or relax with a drink. There is a sun deck with seating areas, bean bags, and either covered or open areas for those who prefer to be in the sunshine. A large dive deck to the rear allows storage of dive equipment and plenty of space to get ready for dives, and the rear platform makes getting on and off the tenders more accessible.

I honestly can’t even put into words how good this trip was with Ghazala Explorer. Everything from the food to the boat to the crew to the dive guides was all perfect! The only slight improvement I would recommend is that the beds could be slightly softer. I want to say a huge thank you to the crew for making our trip so incredible! It’s rare to find a trip with so few faults.

Amazing boat
This was our second time with the Ghazala, and this trip was as great as the first. Great food, clean cabins, excellent dive organization. The crew was always fun, friendly and helpful, (fire) safety protocols in place and of course wonderful diving!

Best boat on the red sea?!
This is our second Liveaboard with Ghazala Explorer and we did not regret it for 1 second. Everyone in our group agreed, this is the best ship on the Red Sea. Rooms were spacious, dive guides were great and funny (I especially enjoyed annoying Achmed), food was amazing, crew was extremely helpful in any way they could, especially helping on and off our diving gear, organisation is spot on, there is really nothing negative I can think of... We will definitely return for a 3th trip with Ghazala Explorer! Dimi & Stefan

one of my best liverboard ever!
it was a very awesome trip... ver good organised, everything! friendly crew... amazing rooms and comfortable! and one of the important thing while divin is the food...and the food was really exellent!!! i feel still such nice feelings while Im thinking back to this amazing trip!!! thanks a lot to the whole crew from ghazala explorer! 🙏🏻👌🏾

Excellent livaboard
All the dives sites were fantastic, the crew were amazing and the food was delicious. The cabin was very comfortable. Overall, an amazing week diving in the red sea. Highlights during diving were the hammerheads, silky sharks and manta rays. Some of the other divers saw oceanic white tips. The crew went above and beyond to make this trip amazing. Thank you to Mousa, Moustafa, Reda, Abou El Hassan, Ashraf, Sambo , Eid, Ibrahim, Hassan, Omda (ya basha!), Mohamed, Islam, Mahdy and anyone else I have missed.

Fantastic Shark Experience
Multiple Hammerhead encounters at Daedalus. Multiple Oceanic Whitetip encounters at Elphinstone. On one dive we had 4 Oceanic White Tips around and in-between our dive group. Fantastic! The Dive Guides were great at finding the sharks. The crew were very organized and professional and always good-humored. The boat was in very good condition.

Amazing liveaboard built by and for divers
Don’t hesitate to book a week diving the Red Sea on the Ghazala Explorer. We had an AMAZING time. It’s a new vessel built by one of the boat’s excellent dive guides, whose father and uncle were Red Sea divers and who started diving himself as a kid. They know what they’re doing. We had an epic week of diving on the Southern route. Saw lots of sharks and other critters on a beautiful and pretty healthy reef system. Food was good and plentiful, and the crew just busted their a**es every day to take care of us and make our week memorable. Book it—you won’t have any regrets. A few notes: It’s generally best to bring cash to Egypt and make sure the bills aren’t damaged. There’s beer aboard but BYOB for anything else. If you are a less experienced diver, consider the Northern route as the South features a lot of deep, somewhat challenging dives.

Fantastic Experience!
Amazing guides, and super-helpful crew. Drinks and snacks always available. Great chef, who was responsive to dietary concerns. New boat with all the modern niceties. All the guides/crew were so attentive and responsive. Their zodiac even has a ladder on it (but they know that people don't necessarily like zodiacs, so they do try to minimize its usage). Just a great great experience. We will definitely use them again the next time we're in the Red Sea.
