The 37m Thailand Master is a purpose-built sailing liveaboard designed by divers, for divers. This trip makes you feel like you are back in the days of Jaques Cousteau's pioneering diving.
The mix of soft and hard corals in the Mergui islands is exceptional! Till date, there has been almost no bleaching. The Burma banks, situated far from land, are amazing dive sites. Giant ancient coral bommies with many nurse sharks sleeping underneath them and cruising around. There are also silver tips and a profusion of fish. The currents provided great drift dives and the visibility was excellent.

The Mergui islands are breathtaking. They are one of the most unspoiled Archipelagos in the world.. We did not see any other liveaboards during the entire trip.. Dive and cruise. They took us on a beautiful tour of the islands, the view was continuously changing..

Great trip
It was windy and the waves were strong, so the 3rd and 4th island points had a better view than Richeliurak.Whale shark manta Annaom Richeliurak is the second person to leave work.

Amazing boat, crew and dive sites
Diving around Surin island was amazing. The crew is really working for passengers to have the best possible trip. We made a visit to a Moken village one day we couldn’t do a dive due to weather conditions. I hope I can go back and do another live aboard in the same boat.

Each and every one of the team contributed to the great success of this trip. Without exception, everyone was friendly, attentive and took care of the customers in the best possible way. The liveaboard of a lifetime.
This boat and its staff brought together a fantastic group of human beings with whom to spend a week diving. The accommodations and the gear were all top notch. During my time on board, I completed my advanced certification with Jonathan, who is an incredible mentor and cruise director. Also important, the staff and crew on The Phinisi are incredibly respectful of marine life and observant of the national park regulations. Highly recommend.

I'll try once again!
The first liveaboard in my life. It was not too long and not too short, 5 days and 4 nights. Storm was coming but we didn't worry about that, because of the stable crew and dive masters. I just really recommend this if you are on your first trip. Above all Sai's cooking will block sea sickness, I swear.

Incredible: everything!
Marco the trip leader is a true professional and he and the rest of the staff bend over backwards to make it your best trip ever. The dive sites were good, avoiding the day trip boats very well. The food was out of this world, and the dorms were very comfy with softer beds and cold AC.

Boats and Pros: Exceeding Expectations, a Phinisi Story
The Phinisi exceeded expectations and beyond. The attention to every detail of the trip was amazing. My appreciation for the crew is unmeasurable bc they actually care. Fantastic food and no shortage of meals, saw all the marine things one could hope for, the quarters and boat were very comfortable, the rental gear was top notch and felt I was in good hands the entire trip. You know it’s the best when you don’t want to get off the boat. I hope I get another opportunity to dive with Phinisi and crew again someday. Thanks for the memorable experience! 10/10, A+, 5 stars.

This is one of my best experiences in my life. The boat was amazing. Cabins clean and very comfortable. Food was amazing, good mix between western and Thai food. Although we didn’t see any big fishes the diving was amazing. To do my AOW here was the best choice I’ve ever made. And all honor to my dive instructor, Ping. He made it so easy to complete my course, thank you. I’ll definitely come back sometime and will recommend this to all my dive buddy’s!

Best boat crew in Thailand
Nice big wooden boat. Better than the smaller boats which I was on in 2020. Didn't have a dive guide as I only Snorkel but boat crew catered for this and made sure when possible to get us to the reefs and shallow parts. Nice that we could sleep anywhere as I couldn't stand the AC...

A fantastic week aboard a great boat
The crew, dive guides and other divers are what made this trip enjoyable. The Andaman sea is not abundant with macro life, so the diving was not my favorite but that being said, we had a fantastic trip. The boat and crew made it very fun.

My recent experience aboard this liveaboard surpassed all expectations and left me with memories to cherish for a lifetime. From the moment we stepped on board, we were greeted with warm hospitality and professionalism from the entire crew. The staff's extensive knowledge of the dive sites and dedication to safety reassured us throughout the trip, allowing us to focus entirely on the incredible diving experiences that awaited us. The liveaboard itself was a comfortable and well-equipped vessel, providing all the amenities one could need for a week-long dive excursion. Our cabins were meticulously maintained. The communal areas, including the lounge, dining area, and sundeck, were inviting spaces to relax and socialize with fellow divers between dives. But it was the diving that truly stole the show. Each day brought new and breathtaking underwater landscapes, from vibrant coral reefs teeming with marine life to exhilarating drift dives along dramatic walls and pinnacles. The dive guides were knowledgeable and passionate about marine conservation, enriching our dives with fascinating insights into the underwater ecosystem. One highlight of our trip was the opportunity to embark on night dives, where we witnessed a whole new world come to life beneath the surface. The nocturnal marine creatures were nothing short of mesmerizing, providing an unforgettable experience that we'll cherish forever. Of course, no dive trip would be complete without delicious food to fuel our adventures, and the onboard chef certainly delivered. From hearty breakfasts to gourmet dinners, every meal was a culinary delight, with plenty of options to accommodate dietary preferences and restrictions. In conclusion, my experience aboard The Phinisi Liveaboard exceeded all expectations, thanks to the exceptional crew, comfortable accommodations, and unforgettable diving adventures. Hands down, incredible trip!
An absolutely phenomenal trip!! The best crew (dive masters and deck crew), the captain, and chefs/housekeeping! The boat was the most beautiful on the ocean and the crew (all sides) were phenomenal. The food and snacks were delicious and never ending - something all of us on board were so happy about! The dive crew and dive deckhands made it so we had to worry about absolutely nothing but the dives! I can honestly say, some of the best 5 days of my life were spent aboard the Phinisi!

awesome, even for a first-timer.
My personal achievement of being able to deploy a SMB. Better bouyancy. First time doing night dive (and not afraid of it). The ITININRY certainly facilitated all these, nice dive masters, and accomodating guests (we just laughed over it someone made mistakes like forgetting the masks or went into the waters without fins)

The family-like bonding amongst thr guests, crew and staff. Chill-out nature of the schedule (we are afterall on a holiday right), and people care for guests who were ill.

Outstanding, such a hard-working crew, exceptionally high standards!
I cannot recommend the Phinisi as a liveaboard experience more enough - this was the most incredible and professional liveaboard I have been on. From the safety briefings, to the dive sites, to the food, the onboard pharmacy, the aesthetic of the wooden boat (with functional sails…!) it was all amazing. The crew are incredibly friendly, professional and fun - the boat is so spacious with lots of areas to hang out and have space from other members, and the cabins are all air conditioned with en suites and so comfortable! The diving was beautiful with Richieu Rock being a stand out dive site - highly recommend taking the crews advice and getting up early as the site can become crowded with lots of divers - but it is so worth it. We didn’t have as many big fish i.e. mantas, whale sharks but we went early November which is slightly out of season - and sadly the water was very warm (the bigger fish liking cooler water). All in all an absolutely outstanding experience with the crew making the effort to put the sails up on our last day which was so special - and it truly is the most beautiful boat on the Andaman Sea!

My first liveaboard couldn't have been better!
My first liveaboard couldn't have gone better. The crew was extraordinarily helpful and friendly, the dive guides super personable and the food was really good. The ship itself was also very cozy. Everyone always tried to make sure that you were satisfied. The dives were also super nice, and I also felt super safe with the dive guides (only had 20 dives before doing another 18 dives on the Phinisi - so I wasn't that experienced). Also the dive crew, who always prepared the equipment for us, and led us with the Zodiac to the dive sites, was great. All in all, a really great experience that I wouldn't want to miss!
