The 37m Thailand Master is a purpose-built sailing liveaboard designed by divers, for divers. Did not want it to end.
It was great a great dive trip. Got up close with cuttlefish. Saw an assortment of so many fish, sharks, scorpion fish, pipefish, angel fish, turtles barrakudas, one crab was so decorated he looked like he was going to mardi gra. The list went on and on. The water was murky, some of the days but visibility still not problem.

Crew was great. Co divers were fun. Food was awesome but wine was expensive. Saw a wide variety of sea life.

I'll try once again!
The first liveaboard in my life. It was not too long and not too short, 5 days and 4 nights. Storm was coming but we didn't worry about that, because of the stable crew and dive masters. I just really recommend this if you are on your first trip. Above all Sai's cooking will block sea sickness, I swear.

I enjoyed my first trip to Thailand, I have dived in several locations in 2023, 5 locations and loved them all but my trip on the Phinisi was the best of all, loved the boat and the crew were great, and and yes once again loved the food. The dive sites were varied and great with plenty of life, on one trip had to push the fish out of the way so I could see my buddy.

Nice big wooden boat. Better than the smaller boats which I was on in 2020. Didn't have a dive guide as I only Snorkel but boat crew catered for this and made sure when possible to get us to the reefs and shallow parts. Nice that we could sleep anywhere as I couldn't stand the AC...

Awesome diving, on a beautiful boat with a wonderful crew
Just back from an amazing 7D/6N dive trip aboard the Phinisi, visiting the Similan and Surin islands with my dive buddy. The best dive site (by far!!) was Richelieu Rock. We dove there four times, and I would have been happy to have just dived that site over and over. Our dive guide was Amelie, and she made sure to always find something cool and obscure on each dive. The rental gear was brand-spanking new, and so was pretty much everything else on this newly renovated boat. The boat is beautifully appointed, and we lacked for nothing. My buddy and I felt like kings, lavishly attended to do by the entire crew throughout our trip; from delicious and bountiful meals to assistance getting in and out of our dive gear. Deano’s dive briefings were entertaining and amazingly accurate. The whole team oozed experience and I highly recommend this boat, crew, and itinerary to anyone seeking to eat, sleep, dive, repeat :)

Great dives, great food, great staff.
Dives were so much fun. The dive masters were relaxed but still took care of us without babying us. After every dive, the crew would provide you with hot drinks and we were fed five times a day.

The liveaboard of a lifetime.
This boat and its staff brought together a fantastic group of human beings with whom to spend a week diving. The accommodations and the gear were all top notch. During my time on board, I completed my advanced certification with Jonathan, who is an incredible mentor and cruise director. Also important, the staff and crew on The Phinisi are incredibly respectful of marine life and observant of the national park regulations. Highly recommend.

This crewed ship makes divers' hearts beat at the highest level.
Each and every one of the team contributed to the great success of this trip. Without exception, everyone was friendly, attentive and took care of the customers in the best possible way. The divemaster was outstandingly good and I felt very well informed on every dive, very safe and was able to enjoy the great dive sites. The beautiful ship also turned out to be very well equipped and my cabin was also very nice! I am totally thrilled with this great diving trip!

The highlight of the trip was of course the whale shark, which we saw, only one 5 divers and no one else around, wonderful experience.
Recommended for
Everything worked perfectly. Although the ship is newly used as a safari boat, the crew (Thai as well as the rest) seemed very organized and helpful. The rental equipment is completely new and of high quality. In terms of safety, it's also great. Before each dive, a good briefing with important information. The dive groups were divided according to experience level, and adjusted after the check dive and possibly later. Nitrox always 32%.

Hands down, incredible trip!
An absolutely phenomenal trip!! The best crew (dive masters and deck crew), the captain, and chefs/housekeeping! The boat was the most beautiful on the ocean and the crew (all sides) were phenomenal. The food and snacks were delicious and never ending - something all of us on board were so happy about! The dive crew and dive deckhands made it so we had to worry about absolutely nothing but the dives! I can honestly say, some of the best 5 days of my life were spent aboard the Phinisi!

Incredible: everything!
Marco the trip leader is a true professional and he and the rest of the staff bend over backwards to make it your best trip ever. The dive sites were good, avoiding the day trip boats very well. The food was out of this world, and the dorms were very comfy with softer beds and cold AC.

This trip makes you feel like you are back in the days of Jaques Cousteau's pioneering diving.
The mix of soft and hard corals in the Mergui islands is exceptional! Till date, there has been almost no bleaching. The Burma banks, situated far from land, are amazing dive sites. Giant ancient coral bommies with many nurse sharks sleeping underneath them and cruising around. There are also silver tips and a profusion of fish. The currents provided great drift dives and the visibility was excellent.

The Mergui islands are breathtaking. They are one of the most unspoiled Archipelagos in the world.. We did not see any other liveaboards during the entire trip.. Dive and cruise. They took us on a beautiful tour of the islands, the view was continuously changing..

Best experiences
This is one of my best experiences in my life. The boat was amazing. Cabins clean and very comfortable. Food was amazing, good mix between western and Thai food. Although we didn’t see any big fishes the diving was amazing. To do my AOW here was the best choice I’ve ever made. And all honor to my dive instructor, Ping. He made it so easy to complete my course, thank you. I’ll definitely come back sometime and will recommend this to all my dive buddy’s!
