Highlights
The Bugis is a 27-meter/89-foot-long phinisi designed for sustainability, comfort, safety, and fun of up to 8 guests. The dedicated crew of 8 ensures a remarkable guest-to-crew ratio. Guests can expect top-notch service as they explore Indonesia's top cruise destinations, from the famous Raja Ampat and Komodo Islands to the remote Flores Sea, Wakatobi National Park, and the lesser-known Banggai Archipelago. The Bugis offers an environmentally conscious experience with solar-powered electricity, sustainable practices, and minimal generator use when guests are onboard, providing a peaceful atmosphere, open social spaces with panoramic views, and luxurious teak wood finishes, making it the perfect vessel for a charter or an unforgettable adventure with friends and family.
The Bugis has spacious social areas featuring panoramic views. The main deck provides a 30m2 shaded dining area where guests can relax and enjoy meals. On the upper deck, a semi-covered 45m2 space with a bar and open area invites you to practice yoga, sunbathe, unwind, or even party at night. The Bugis serves fresh and locally sourced food. Instead of a fixed meal plan, the crew handpicks fresh ingredients from the nearest local markets daily, guaranteeing a delightful culinary fusion of Indonesian and Western dishes.

Bugis delivered a wonderful adventure.
Bugis is a lovely wooden boat with personality plus. No aircon was fine for us, but some could struggle. Ace staff led by Tommy meant all our needs were met straightforwardly . Joko from Java was a food magician! Risky is a true Indonesian gentleman, always at hand to assist and serve. Snorkeling excellent overall and red bird of paradise trip very demanding but satisfying. (we are almost 70). My wife, who I persuaded to come on something that is not really her ideal holiday, had a super time and loved it. We were fortunate that the mixed nationality group used largely english to communicate and melded well together and everybody made an effort to get along. I am already looking at booking a second trip with this company who offer some interesting and different itineraries in Indonesia.

A magical and unforgettable cruise!
The snorkelling sessions have been carefully prepared and adapted to the weather conditions. We felt safe. We saw amazing fish, manta rays, sharks, turtles... each time accompanied by the very attentive zodiac. The chef prepared us ultra fresh, healthy and delicious sushi and dishes. Tommy, the cruise director, accompanied us with great delicacy and great know-how.

Best way to explore remote, diverse reefs & islands.
Our family of six was extremely well looked after. There were only two other guests, which made the entire trip very personal. Each land excursion (BBQ on Lantigiang, weaving & lunch at Pajam, village on Batuata, boat builders on Bonerata, Rinja) was well prepared and briefed. We had plenty of time, all questions were answered, and the children were always acknowledged and included. We visited reefs and islands that are off the beaten track, which made the journey special. The children in particular, enjoyed our young cruise director, Tommy Harivaldo, who was consistently approachable, and they also made friends with most of the crew.

We were able to find a true paradise in Rajah Ampat on the eco-friendly Bugis
My husband John and I both had an extraordinary experience on the Bugis. John wanted relaxation, but also a good share of awe-inspiring nature. However, I wanted to know everything as I snorkelled, talked to the crew and climbed to see the Red Bird of Paradise. Neither of us were disappointed. It was such a fun trip and one of our best ever holidays.

Totally enjoyable, lovely Boat, Nice small group of lovely people.
Lots of wonderful snorkeling and we got to walk with the Komodo Dragons. How cool is that. Only possible improvement would be hotter water for the showers and better water pressure.

- Plenty of snorkelling in different places.. Lovely helpful crew.. Great meals..
