Highlights
The Emperor Virgo liveaboard offers year-round diving in the Maldives. Catering to just 18 divers, there is ample space for all guests on board to relax and unwind during their stay. Cabins are spread over 3 decks and have double or twin beds, private en-suite bathrooms, and individually controlled AC. Upper-deck cabins also have large picture windows and amazing sea views.
The main deck of the Emperor Virgo is home to the large indoor salon with an entertainment area and dining room. The upper deck has an outdoor terrace, bar, and an al-fresco dining area to enjoy the delicious cuisine and gorgeous scenery. Meals combine international and local dishes; a free glass of wine is included with dinner. The sun deck has comfortable loungers and offers a relaxing space to unwind between dives.
All dives from the Emperor Virgo yacht take place from the accompanying dhoni, which gives plenty of room for kitting up and gear storage and makes getting to and from the dive sites easy. Itineraries on offer are The Best of the Maldives, Sharktastic, South Central Atolls, and the Deep South & Southern Sharks. All offer incredible dives with the chance of encounters with sharks, whale sharks, dolphins, turtles, and more.

Very satisfied of what we see during the trip, tiger shark, bull shark, silver tip shark, whaleshark and hundreds of reef sharks! Big shout out to our lovely dive guide Maria! so considerate of each person's feelings, and so professional underwater as well. Making the diving each more enjoyable. The boat itself is very clean, well organized, very cautious of safety. The little inconvenience is the check out time, everyone needs to disembark at 7am from the boat, while our flight is 2:20pm, which means we have to wait at the open area lobby of the airport without aircon for a very long time. So do well plan your flight time base on the disembark time.

Awesome week in Maldives
Great daily itinerary that was flexible and based on site conditions which allowed us to truly see the best of Maldives - from mantas to stingrays and lots of colourful marine life. The liveaboard itself was extremely cosy and comfortable with delicious meals whipped up for us 3 times a day. The dive crew and guides were great, informative and really friendly. We had a ton of fun with the other guests on board and it really felt like home for a week.

Exceptional week in the Maldives!
Our week on the Emperor Virgo was nothing short of exceptional. From start to finish, the crew, dive masters, and overall experience exceeded every expectation. We completed 17 incredible dives—each one unique—and the team made us feel safe, supported, and inspired the entire time. Their knowledge of the sites, briefings, and calm confidence added so much to the trip. The diving itself was spectacular. We learned how to use reef hooks, drifted along walls as sharks cruised by, and watched manta rays sweep through the dark on a night dive. We saw sharks, mantas, eagle rays, turtles, eels, octopuses, nudibranchs, sea cucumbers, gorgeous coral, and more fish than I could ever list. Every dive felt alive. Life on the boat was just as memorable. The food was fabulous—fresh, plentiful, and far better than I expected on a liveaboard. The rhythm quickly became eat • sleep • dive • repeat, and honestly, I loved it. Our fellow divers included couples from Germany, Belgium, France, and Switzerland, and the shared experience made the trip even richer. Great conversations, lots of laughter, and new friends by the end of the week. The Emperor Virgo team delivered an outstanding experience on every level. If you’re thinking about a Maldives liveaboard—go. This week was one of my all-time favorite dive trips.

Amazing diving, amazing boat & crew
Everything was top notch. I love the Maldives. We saw 6 species of sharks in one week and countless Mantas. Whale shark and hammerheads were to of my favorite along with the night dives with Mantas and Nurse Sharks. The diving guides are outstanding, thank you Andrea Reeko and Megan. Crew is great and the boat as well with great food the whole week.
