The M/S Ombak Putih is a 42m traditional Indonesian schooner liveaboard that schedules exciting cultural immersion trips throughout the eastern Indonesian archipelago year-round. The 14-member crew onboard Ombak Putih is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the area and will ensure an authentic adventure for every guest.
MS Ombak Putih Indonesia is 42m long and provides luxurious accommodations for up to 24 guests. Each of the 12 cabins is equipped with individual climate control, a private bathroom, plenty of space, and a towel refresh service. Excellent food and snacks, tea, coffee, and mineral water are served on board. Guests may relax on the spacious sun and semi-covered decks or in the spacious lounge and bar equipped with a TV, DVD, and music center. A selection of wines, beer, and spirits are for sale.

This is not a fancy cruise. You will be tested physically. But, I can truthfully say, it is.....
The adventure of a lifetime. I can't say what I loved most - visiting the remote islands, dancing with the welcoming villagers, or snorkeling with our most knowledgeable and interesting guide, Ana. Or, maybe it was developing the camaraderie with our fellow guests. The food was delightful (although I would have preferred less of it to be fried), the crew could not have been more accommodating. They genuinely seemed to care about us and were especially mindful of the needs of us older passengers.

Great experience on Ombak Putih
Enjoyed the great scenery along the way, seeing Whale Sharks and Komodo dragons. Also appreciated extra services such as driving us to our hotel at the end of the trip, washing clothes for us on the trip, mixing cocktails for us in the evening.

Every single day was filled with adventure. The discoveries of amazing and diverse tropical snorkeling areas. The unique coral reefs and sea creatures. Sparkling clear waters and brilliant corals. The treks into the rain forests and mangroves of Papua and it’s surrounding unique islands Visits to local communities to learn of their cultures and meet delightful shy children. Our wonderful Guides so enthusiastic and knowledgeable in all facets of our journey making every day an exciting action packed adventure This coupled with the most serene and beautiful boat it’s fun filled crew and luxury surroundings all contributed to making this a most memorable holiday of a lifetime.

A fantastic experience to be remembered for ever.
We saw a Komodo dragon kill a deer and then witnessed the "feast" as 4 more dragons joined in. The level of care and comfort on board was exceptional. The private beach where we snorkelled and watched the sun go down was lovely.

Good itinerary and guided trips to access nature wonders with acceptable level of comfort
-the good: access to unspoiled natural areas, good snorkeling; very good crew service; presence of a naturalist enhanced the experience via the presentations and information provided -the not so good: food was good but there were not enough "healthy" choices available for people with any kind of restrictions. Too much fried and fatty food- many companion travelers were complaining -the unacceptable: lack of safety vests! the light vests were in the cabin but too heavy for daily trips. It is not acceptable to have no light safety vests for water trips or snorkeling; even good swimmers may end up with some issues in areas with strong currents or just have a simple accident; this is a safety exposure to be fixed urgently -to be improved: lack of gifts/memories; people like to take home some material things to remind them of the cruise. There was nothing provided on ours except an unusable fabric bag and a very cheap fan.
