Highlights

  • Affordable diving in the Bahamas
  • Perfect for single travelers or couples
  • Dive with sharks in the clear blue waters of the Exuma Cays

Join the Blackbeard's Sea Explorer to dive into the crystal-clear waters of the Bahamas. Perfect for single travelers on a budget, the Blackbeard's Sea Explorer, the identical twin sister of Blackbeard's Morning Star, a member of the Blackbeard's Fleet, offers 3 dormitory-style cabin areas with 18 bunks and 3 shared bathrooms. Each cabin area has AC, and all are sectioned off with privacy curtains, similar to a sleeper cabin on a train. There is a choice of double or single bunks. Buffet meals with picnic-style dining are served in the air-conditioned salon, and all meals, snacks, and drinks, including beer, wine, and rum punch, are included during your stay.

Blackbeard's Sea Explorer trips include diving with sharks, exhilarating drift diving, beautiful walls, and blue holes around the Exuma Cays. There is no set itinerary aboard the Sea Explorer liveaboard; the captain and crew will take the boat where the conditions and weather are best. Plenty of non-diving activities are on offer, so your time above the water will be just as memorable as below.

Book online to reserve your space aboard Blackbeard's Sea Explore liveaboard, or call us today.

Please Note: Morning Star and Sea Explorer are identical twin sisters and may be used interchangeably. Whilst we can take requests for specific bunks, they are not guaranteed, and the rate is per person, not per bunk.

This boat is part of the All Star Liveaboards fleet.

Really good value for the amount paid. Highly recommend.

The crew were fantastic... friendly and very helpful. The weather cooperated thankfully. Organized well. Tasty food. Overall, wonderful and a great value. Will do it again!

Good week

Shark feeding, spending time with turtles, good drift dives, no dive master on dives so we planned our dives as we wished emptied our tanks.

Bucket list

There was a cathartic aspect to the trip, processing grief. Two of the 19 paying guests were men dealing with recent loss of our wives to beain tumors. The other guy in that situation placed a papier mache tirtle holding his wife’s ashes on the first dive. I was merely taking a trip that her condition over many years had made impossible, in keeping with her dying demand that the kids and I go forward embracing life with joy and love. She could not tolerate boating very well and could not have qualified medically for scuba in the past 25 years; she would be pleased to see me doing both. The crew did all they could to help me as a barely certified novice diver sorely lacking in scuba experience to develop. Of the other passengers, several had decades of scuba experience as instructors and dive masters. I benefited from diviing with them, especially one who volunteered to be my dive buddy. Accommodations were Spartan, which I knew, but I loved being rocked to sleep in my bunk. Food was consistently excellent.

Dreaming of my next one

This is one of the best things I’ve ever done in my life. I wasn’t looking forward to going to the Bahamas by myself, everyone always bails. I’m so happy I did this. Amazing experience, the food is some I’ve ever had in my life, I would go back just for that. Ask for reds boat and Dan as the cook. The dives and the sharks and the fish and the blue hole, I loved everything aside from the small heads and shower. I’m a bigger boy so everything’s small to me. Deciding if I want to do Bahamas next year again or go to another country. No matter what, I’m doing a liveaboard again!
