Highlights
Join the Blackbeard's Sea Explorer to dive into the crystal-clear waters of the Bahamas. Perfect for single travelers on a budget, the Blackbeard's Sea Explorer, the identical twin sister of Blackbeard's Morning Star, a member of the Blackbeard's Fleet, offers 3 dormitory-style cabin areas with 18 bunks and 3 shared bathrooms. Each cabin area has AC, and all are sectioned off with privacy curtains, similar to a sleeper cabin on a train. There is a choice of double or single bunks. Buffet meals with picnic-style dining are served in the air-conditioned salon, and all meals, snacks, and drinks, including beer, wine, and rum punch, are included during your stay.
Blackbeard's Sea Explorer trips include diving with sharks, exhilarating drift diving, beautiful walls, and blue holes around the Exuma Cays. There is no set itinerary aboard the Sea Explorer liveaboard; the captain and crew will take the boat where the conditions and weather are best. Plenty of non-diving activities are on offer, so your time above the water will be just as memorable as below.
Book online to reserve your space aboard Blackbeard's Sea Explore liveaboard, or call us today.
Please Note: Morning Star and Sea Explorer are identical twin sisters and may be used interchangeably. Whilst we can take requests for specific bunks, they are not guaranteed, and the rate is per person, not per bunk.

Summer camp for adults
I was nervous going on this trip as a 48 yr old solo female, not knowing anyone. But it was great, there was a range of ages all interested in diving. Tyrone was a great instructor for my deep specialty. Morgan could steer the sailboat through anything. What Gunner could turn out of that tiny galley was fantastic, we ate well. Mike kept everything running and always ready to help. Sheena was very happy and helpful. I dove with sharks and rays. Fed the pigs and stingrays, walked on beautiful beaches. Caught a fish and watched the sails go up. It was a great trip.

Best liveaboard hands down
The crew were all quite knowledgeable about the dive sites from a dive POV, Species POV, and conservation POV. There was so much marine life and I cannot wait to go back!

First & Best Liveaboard Experience!
I never been on a liveaboard before and this just made my whole year! The crew was exceptionally knowledgeable about the boat and dive sites, and kept us safe even when the wind picked up. We did miss a few dives due to weather, but that didn't take away from any experience - the crew provided us amazing services and there were many solo divers whom we all became friends with - the entire boat felt like one big happy family and it was an amazing experience overall!

There is no better liveaboard value afloat.
We did 19 dives and it's hard to pick favorites but the shark feeding dive was a bucket list caliber experience. The night dives were exceptional. The washing machine drift dive was a once in a lifetime experience. The part of the experience was meeting the crew and other divers. All were great and made the trip memorable.

Time of my life
The crew really made everything unreal! Shout out to Gunnar in the kitchen cookin up the best meals I’ve had in a long time, to Tyrone for unparalleled dive mastery and vibe cultivator, to Sheena for making sure we weren’t running around like cats, to Mike for keeping the boat afloat and whooping me in some exercises and finally to Captain Morgan for being an absolute legend at the helm (he can sing some deadly sea shanties too). Overall had an amazing experience on the Morning star 10/10

Great Week
We just got back from a great week on Sea Explorer in Feb 2024. For the price, it really was a fantastic experience, and other than the accommodations, you don’t really miss out on anything the more expensive liveaboards offer. Rental gear was in good condition, we dove the same sites, food was fantastic and plentiful. The diving was good, though the water was chilly. If you go in Feb, make sure you pack a warm wetsuit and hood/gloves/warm socks. We liked that we got a good variety of types of dives - sunny/shallow reefs, wrecks, walls, drifts, blue hole, night. The crew were truly incredible. Captain Jenn was amazing! She kept us safe and selected dive sites that were suited to the weather/water conditions. She also asked all of us at the start of the trip if we had any “must-dos” and was able to accommodate all of them. The rest of the crew (Ty, Andrew, Mike, Barry, Stacey) worked hard to make sure we had everything we needed to have a great trip. Thanks to all of you!
