Highlights
The Discovery I liveaboard offers year-round Red Sea dive safaris. She was built with divers' needs in mind and has 10 double and twin cabins comfortably accommodating up to 20 guests onboard. There are 6 twin cabins on the lower deck and 4 double or twin cabins on the upper deck, all featuring air conditioning, ensuite bathrooms, and storage space. The main indoor salon and dining room, located on the main deck, are modern and bright, with comfortable seating for all guests. On the upper deck is a bar and outdoor lounge, perfect for enjoying the sea breeze and a drink at the end of the day, and a spacious sundeck with mattresses for sunbathing or relaxing in between dives.
The Discovery I liveaboard offers a variety of 7-night itineraries that allow divers to explore some of the best dive sites in the Red Sea, including the Deep South and Elphinstone route and the Northern Red Sea, Wrecks, and Ras Mohammed. A spacious dive deck and swim platform are located at the back of the boat, with ample space for gearing up. Two tenders are on hand for easy drop off and pick up at the dive sites. Nitrox is also available for those certified.

What an amazing trip!
The overall experience was incredible. The boat, the food, the crew, the guides, and of course the dives. Everything was organized flawlessly and efficiently, and I didn’t believe we would be able to see oceanic whitetips, hammerheads, and silky sharks all in this one trip. It was an just unforgettable experience!

Intensive liveaboard week in the Southern Red Sea
An intense diving trip with many dive sites and dives. Very good support from the crew. Great snorkeling experience with dolphins. Sensational cuisine. Nice dive guides who do their job with passion.

Liveaboard with beautiful combination of wreck and reef dives
Nice tour with various highlights such as Thistlegorm, Salem Express and Brothers on a somewhat outdated and quite small boat with slight compromises in terms of comfort on board. However, I really liked the course of the tour and the dives were very varied, so there was definitely something for everyone. The crew and dive guides were also always helpful. The boat was only half booked this week and we were only traveling with a fairly small group of 12 guests, so the division of the dive groups between the two dive guides was really good. With a full booking, the groups would certainly have been quite large, but in the end I can't say anything about that. Overall a nice experience.

Only 16 of 19 dives were done
The overall experience has been satisfactory as the staff has been very friendly But 19 dives were offered and we have only done 16 and that three are missing does not seem logical to me since we did not have bad seas or any other inconvenience, I would have liked there to be some night dives, although this if it was not in the Itinerary but since it was a minimum Advanced dive it would have been appreciated at least on my part

Hooked for Life – An Unforgettable First Liveaboard Experience with Discovery I
I honestly don’t even know how to begin—this was my very first liveaboard experience, and it completely hooked me on scuba diving even more. I loved every moment spent on Discovery I. From the start, everything was smooth. The LiveAboard website was easy to navigate, and the customer service was excellent—very responsive, well-organized, and helpful. Discovery Divers was just as impressive. I was picked up from the airport right on time, exactly as promised, and felt safe on every single dive we did. The boat crew and dive guides were not only professional and skilled but also incredibly warm and friendly. They made the whole trip feel special. We were so lucky with our sightings—we saw hammerheads, threshers, oceanic whitetips, a whale shark, dolphins, manta rays, and more. What stood out the most to me was how passionate the crew was. You’d never catch them looking tired or bored. Their enthusiasm was contagious—it felt like they were just as excited as we were, as if it were their first liveaboard too. They are, without a doubt, some of the most hardworking and genuine people I’ve ever met. What made the whole experience even more memorable was the great company. Everyone on board was cool, friendly, and easy to get along with, which really added to the fun and relaxed vibe. I was lucky to have a great roommate, too—we shared a small cabin, but we managed well and it honestly worked out perfectly. As for the facilities, I have nothing negative to say. Everything was well-kept, clean, and fully functional. You’ve got everything you need on board, and it’s all maintained with care. The food? Incredible. We were seriously spoiled by the kitchen crew—four scheduled meals a day, snacks in between, free-flowing drinks, and a ton of extra treats available anytime. The crew helped out with everything—from dive gear to daily needs—and always with a smile. Even after the trip ended, the service continued. My flight was at night, and they arranged a transfer with perfect timing so I wouldn’t have to wait too long at the airport. That level of attention to detail really left a lasting impression. For the price I paid, I’d do this all over again in a heartbeat. I honestly can’t wait to be back at sea with this company.

Excellent experience and liveaboard
The boat is modern and well taken care of, although not excessively luxurious. The crew takes excellent care of all guests, and the food is phenomenal and varied. Dive guides are experienced, very well navigated, and also give you freedom to explore areas via unguided buddy dives where the conditions allow for it. The itinerary chosen was well designed for the weather conditions, and had a great mix of different dive sites/types (wrecks, reef, gardens, drift, night).
