Perfectly designed for small groups and individuals who want more personalized service, the Carpe Diem Phinisi offers year-round dive itineraries in Raja Ampat and Komodo National Park. There are only 4 cabins available, with a maximum of 8 guests onboard. The Nutmeg cabin is a large double on the main deck and spans almost the entire boat's width. It has large forward-facing windows, a skylight, and ample storage space. On the lower deck is the Clove cabin, which has two single beds which can be converted to 1 double upon request. Also located on the lower deck are cabins Pandan and Cinnamon. These have one double and one single and can be used as a triple. The lower deck cabins have natural light and ventilation via porthole and skylight, and all cabins have en-suite bathrooms and individually controlled AC.

Social areas include the well-appointed saloon in the main deckhouse, which can comfortably accommodate 8 guests around the large table. Delicious locally sourced meals are served at the al fresco dining table, and dietary requirements can be catered to with advance notice.

Dive itineraries aboard the Carpe Diem Phinisi include Raja Ampat from November to April, Komodo from May to September, and some unforgettable trips in Ambon, the Banda Islands, and South Raja Ampat in between. Dive groups are small, and qualified dive guides with local knowledge and high service standards accompany each dive. The use of dive equipment is also included in the trip price.

An Unforgettable Liveaboard experience in Raja Ampat!
Our 6-night, 7-day dive liveaboard in Raja Ampat was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we stepped on the ship, everything exceeded our expectations. The accommodations were very comfortable, the food was plentiful and delicious at every meal, and the atmosphere onboard was relaxed and welcoming. This was our first experience on a liveaboard. The diving itself was incredible - Raja Ampat truly lives up to its reputation. Every dive delivered vibrant coral, abundant marine life, and unforgettable underwater scenes. The dive team was professional, attentive, and experienced. The dive briefing before each dive was detailed which made every experience feel safe, smooth, and exciting. With only eight couples on board, the group size was perfect. It felt intimate without ever feeling crowded, and by the end of the trip it genuinely felt like we were leaving newly made good friends behind. The staff were friendly, fun, and always went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. The ship itself was beautiful and well-maintained, offering the right balance of comfort and adventure. Whether we were sharing stories after a dive, enjoying sunset views, or gearing up for the next underwater highlight, every moment felt special. We left with full hearts, new friends, and memories we’ll treasure forever. If you’re considering a liveaboard in Raja Ampat - we would highly recommend this experience!

Perfect trip with great boat & staff 👍
They whole crew is amazing, the food is great, the cabins are very nice and cosy. We had so many awesome dives. I had such a good time on board and didn't had to care about anything. From pick up till drop off on the airport, everything was well organized. I highly recommend this cruise.

Such an amazing trip!
The hole trip was so amazing that it's hard to summarize. But the people (hole crew and other guests) made this trip very special. The crew took such a good care of us that it's hard to describe. Food was excellent and chef such an expert. Diving was also spectacular and last days mantas put the crown to the hole trip. I definitely hope that I can do this again with Carpe Diem.

Carpe Diem crew and overall liveaboard experience was great and I would highly recommend them!
Carpe Diem boat is well maintained and the crew is very warm and professional. Service and food was excellent. Dive Masters were extremely responsible and highly knowledgeable of the different dive sites that suit the capacity of the divers. They were also very informative and took the time to get to know us and make sure we were comfortable and enjoyed our trip. Food and lodgings were extremely good. All dive equipments were well maintained and catered to all our needs. The sites around Komodo were great and the crew matched it!!!

Heaven.
This trip was absolutely exceptional - in no small part down to the wonderful crew of Carpe Diem. Cecille, Argus and their wonderful team made us feel totally at home, in super safe hands, and so well fed it was ridiculous. The diving was incredible, after diving around the world I haven't seen such abundant marine life and such healthy looking reefs. Sharks were common place, frequent turtle spottings, and a magical encouter with manta rays. It was a dream. The food on board was amazing and every few minutes it seemed another meal was served. Just a PERFECT holiday. It actually felt like we were leaving lifelong friends and family at the end of the stay and I still get a little emotional thinking about it. We will be back! Chris & Gabi

A must in Raja Ampat
We have been in 4 liveaboards in different places and while the daily activities are pretty much the same in each of them (dive, eat, sleep - repeat) we will remember Carpe Diem Phinisi in Raja Ampat for ever as a truly unique experience and one that we will repeat without a doubt. While maintaining high security and diving standards, Carpe Diem Phinisi is able to deliver what we would call a boutique liveaboard experience, as opposed to the big operators with a large number of cabins and wanting to monetize your stay in every possible way. Carpe Diem’s owners, while running a business, have created a unique liveaboard experience by operating their boat how they would want to be treated if they were the boat’s guests. They guided us very well including all pre-boarding indications (getting to Sorong and Waisai is an interesting journey, to say the least). We would recommend flying Garuda or Citilink (Garuda’s low cost airline) to go to Sorong, they appeared to be more reliable than Lion Air group airlines. In addition, diving equipment is apparently free of charge with Garuda.We did Central and north Raja Ampat from November 21 to November 28, 2023.20 dives with a couple of nice routine breaking land excursions. It was our first time diving in Raja Ampat and now we do understand why it is rated as one of the best diving spots in the world. Simply amazing!Since this is a boutique liveaboard, there are only 4 cabins (all of them very spacious and comfortable) which makes for 8 passengers and 2 divemasters, each divemaster guiding 4 passengers (a real treat). Friendly crew, good food and an excellent vibe, with a lot of knowledge and clarity about diving conditions and do’s and donts, particularly with the current that can be tricky at times. The crew were very friendly and accomodating to the extent possible to diving skill levels and food preferences. When back in Raja Ampat or in the region, we will definitely do it with Carpe Diem Phinisi over and over again. Thank you Cecile, Agus and all on board for an amazing time!

Best liveaboard experience ever, highly recommend
Whatever you expect, Carpe Diem is more than that. Thanks to amazing staff service we could fully focus on diving without a drop of sweat. All crews are super friendly, needless to say quality of the food. We were served from soup, then main, and then dessert every night. All personnal stuff such as towels, wetsuit, waterbottle etc. was labelled, and the bed was made every morning. It was like staying at a hotel, very luxurious and comfy. Dive masters were so great at spotting micro things which added so much fun in every dive.

Had an amazing time diving with Carpe Diem in Raja Ampat. The dive sites were incredible - saw beautiful and diverse coral, tons and tons of fishies, wobbegong shark, pygmy squid, pygmy sea horses, sharks, turtles, etc, etc! The boat was beautiful. The meals were delicious and different every time. My boat-mates were awesome. The crew was super fun. They kept us constantly hydrated with coffee and jasmine tea.

Trip of a lifetime.
With only 25-ish dives under my belt, I was a tad nervous and honestly not THAT interested in diving (it's my girlfriend's passion) but by the end of the trip I was absolutely freaking hooked... There's nothing like exploring an underwater paradise and I found watching the comings and goings of the marine life to be amazingly relaxing. One of the best trips of my life, and we plan to visit again! :D

Fun, full-service trip through central Raja Ampat - five stars!
1) Of course the dive sites themselves are amazing and full of discoveries, but also the dive prep is made so easy by the crew & guides. Even if you bring your own equipment, everything is set up for you for each dive - all you have to do is walk onto the dinghy and your gear is ready to go. Plus the pre-dive briefings include details about currents, descent plan, and what creatures to look for. This was our first time diving in Raja Ampat, and it couldn't have been better. 2) The food prepared by the crew was so delicious and plentiful! There's a good mix of western and asian dishes, tons of fresh fruit, and any dietary restrictions are readily seen to with prior notice. 3) Our cabin was cozy and functional - private toilet, A/C, hot shower, and plenty of storage space. We were provided a shower towel and a beach towel, which were refreshed during the trip. A nice touch was that all of our personal items (reuseable water bottle, beach towel, wetsuit, etc) were tagged with guest names to avoid any confusion. 4) Great friendly feeling onboard due to small group of guests. Our cruise included 7 travelers, 2 dive guides, and the crew. One of the boat's owners, Cecile, acted as a dive guide throughout our trip. She was very easy to talk to and answered any of our questions about the Carpe Diem, Raja Ampat, and Indonesia in general. She also arranged for our return ferry tickets to be purchased ahead of time and helped some guests coordinate with their subsequent homestays. These personal touches really added to the overall experience. Overall, we loved it and would recommend to anyone wanting to dive in Raja Ampat. Hopefully, we can take another trip with Carpe Diem!

This was a once in a life time trip for me. The over all experience was really amazing. The dive guides showed us as much as they could see in 1 dive and made me feel very comfortable under water. Great atmosphere on board So much food you are never hungry! The cabins are super comfortable!

I rarely give reviews publicly and would secretly prefer that Carpe Diem remains exclusive only to those who are willing and able to experience its beauty ;) Not my first time on a liveaboard, so I can safely say that I'm impressed by Cecile and Agus's hospitality and family oriented approach towards both staff and guests. The fact that we are in a small group and have such an attentive and caring team contributes to making this stay a very beautiful trip to the ends of the world. First liveaboard that set the bar very high for any next trip
Everything was perfect. The crew and dive masters provided superb service with diving and land excursions. 4 people per dive master was the perfect ratio. The traditional wood boat is comfortable with the outside dining and upstairs relaxing area. The rooms with private bathroom were also easy to live in for 8 days. They should add an optional cooking class with the chef :)

We really liked that is it a small boat (max capacity of 10 guests). The chef was fantastic. Every meal was different and delicious with so much variation. It was great there was always Indonesian food included. The organization made everything feel smooth and under control but not in an overbearing way (all towels, water bottles and equipment labeled with our names).

Couln't have wished for anything to be better.
I just spend one week on the beautiful Carpe Diem boat in Komodo and it makes me directly wanna go again. The crew consisted of more members than guests, was just incredibly friendly&adorable and took care of absolutely EVERYTHING. Best service, in every way. Due to the small group of guests, the atmosphere was very personal and familiar. The boat, on the other hand, was huge with plenty of room to relax. The cabins were spacious, very clean and comfortable. Food was delicious & plently, also for vegetarians. There were two diveguides, so each group consisted of only four divers, which made me feel very safe. Also, since dive sites were being checked in advance. I will definitely go again.

I recently returned from two unforgettable liveaboard trips with Carpe Diem in the stunning waters of Komodo, and I can’t recommend this experience enough! From the moment I boarded the vessel, Cecile and the crew made me feel at home. They were caring, friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, ensuring that all my needs and those of other guests were met. In addition, Cecile's empathetic, authentic, and accountable approach to leading her crew and hosting her guests are no doubt qualities that make her an inspirational leader at sea! The phinisi itself was beautiful, comfortable, clean and well-equipped, with spacious cabins and plenty of communal areas to relax and socialize. Diving from the liveaboard was a game-changer. Each day was packed with multiple dives at breathtaking sites, ranging from vibrant coral reefs to exhilarating drift dives. Cecile and Agus were exceptional, providing handy tips and ensuring our safety while inviting us to explore the underwater splendour. I encountered an array of marine life, including majestic manta rays, docile reef sharks, shy regal blue tangs, and even a dugong swimming gracefully from a distance. The meals onboard were another highlight. Each meal was a delicious celebration of local and international flavors, and the variety was always in abundance to cater to different dietary preferences. After a day of diving, sharing stories and laughter over a hearty dinner was the perfect way to unwind. What truly sets Carpe Diem apart from the rest is the expertise, drive, agility and individual attention from Cecile and the crew. Each dive brought new experiences, and I loved the convenience of having all my gear prepared and ready to go! Overall, my liveaboard experience with Carpe Diem was a perfect blend of adventure, relaxation, and camaraderie.
