Unparalleled service aboard the luxurious Carpe Diem Phinisi
Small dive group made for a personal experience on board, both while diving and also on deck. Owner/operators took care of all the logistics and the crew was superbly organized, which meant our every desire was anticipated and catered toward. The chef made sure every meal was full of variety and flavor. We requested and stayed in the largest cabin, Pala, which was very comfortable.

Excellent
I had a fantastic time on Carpe Diem. It really exceeded all expectations. (except maybe the diving, because I knew that would be incredible) We ate like 5 meals a day so were never want for food. I had a room to myself because there were only 2 guests on board. (out of a possible 8; Cecile has a policy of not cancelling on guests, which helps show how much she cares about clients) The room was actually not cramped at all, which surprised me given past liveaboards. Dive equipment was top notch and Cecile and Agus were fun and informative divemasters and were great at finding amazing stuff for us. (2 Spanish dancers, tons of manta, tons of turtles, nudibranchs, whitetips, etc) A typical day looked like: wake up, have a small pre-dive breakfast, dive, have a real breakfast, dive, hang out for a bit, lunch, dive, have a snack and hang out, nitght dive, have dinner, hang out or head to rooms. The last few days we swapped the evening diving for Komodo dragons and sunsets and stuff so we always had full days. Overall, the whole crew was so friendly and great to be around and it was really a fantastic experience and hit every mark I had.

Exceptional Experience
Boat is incredibly comfortable - cabins are spacious and beautiful, food is excellent (and available for 5 meals/snacks per day), top deck lounge area is perfect, and staff are friendly and accommodating. Diving in Raja Ampat is spectacular, and dive guides are knowledgable and experienced. Cecile and Brian's crew, boat, and crew are all top-notch. We will hopefully be back to the Carpe Diem for diving in southern Raja Ampat/Misool in the future. Cannot imagine a better experience.

Fun, full-service trip through central Raja Ampat - five stars!
1) Of course the dive sites themselves are amazing and full of discoveries, but also the dive prep is made so easy by the crew & guides. Even if you bring your own equipment, everything is set up for you for each dive - all you have to do is walk onto the dinghy and your gear is ready to go. Plus the pre-dive briefings include details about currents, descent plan, and what creatures to look for. This was our first time diving in Raja Ampat, and it couldn't have been better. 2) The food prepared by the crew was so delicious and plentiful! There's a good mix of western and asian dishes, tons of fresh fruit, and any dietary restrictions are readily seen to with prior notice. 3) Our cabin was cozy and functional - private toilet, A/C, hot shower, and plenty of storage space. We were provided a shower towel and a beach towel, which were refreshed during the trip. A nice touch was that all of our personal items (reuseable water bottle, beach towel, wetsuit, etc) were tagged with guest names to avoid any confusion. 4) Great friendly feeling onboard due to small group of guests. Our cruise included 7 travelers, 2 dive guides, and the crew. One of the boat's owners, Cecile, acted as a dive guide throughout our trip. She was very easy to talk to and answered any of our questions about the Carpe Diem, Raja Ampat, and Indonesia in general. She also arranged for our return ferry tickets to be purchased ahead of time and helped some guests coordinate with their subsequent homestays. These personal touches really added to the overall experience. Overall, we loved it and would recommend to anyone wanting to dive in Raja Ampat. Hopefully, we can take another trip with Carpe Diem!

Best liveaboard ever.
I just came from the trip „central and north Raja Ampat“ and am still amazed by the wonderful time I had on board. The ship itself is a traditional indonesian Phinsi and in very good shape (kind of new). The cabins are very cozy and with aircon, the entire ship is just beautiful. So is the crew. We did a kayak trip around Piaynemo and on other occasions you could take one of the kayaks or SUPs and just explore the nearby beaches if you wanted. The dive sites were wonderful and the diving procedure was relaxed. I did 19 dives on this trip. Having a very small group size of up to 8 divers is quite unique and definitely one of the selling points. So is the wooden boat itself. The boat is owned by two persons of which one (or sometimes both) is leading the trips. This makes it more interesting in my opinion. Unlike most other boats run by investors or big companies. Sodas included, food was delicious. I‘ll go again with them on another trip.

The perfect cruise
The perfect cruise: a beautiful ship, a very friendly and efficient staff, magic dives ... especially those with whale sharks or with manta rays. Delicious food, spacious cabins ... I will go again on a cruise with Carpe Diem as soon as possible.

Above and below the water everything was exceptional
Seeing something new and exciting each and every day under the water, and engaging in interesting and varied conversation with the other guests (made possible by having small guest numbers), while being well looked after by Cecile, Agus and the rest of the crew. My highlight was the entire trip - I will be back!

There are no strangers here; Only friends you haven't yet met.
I rarely give reviews publicly and would secretly prefer that Carpe Diem remains exclusive only to those who are willing and able to experience its beauty ;) Not my first time on a liveaboard, so I can safely say that I'm impressed by Cecile and Agus's hospitality and family oriented approach towards both staff and guests. Can't wait to join them again for another trip!

Carpe Diem crew and overall liveaboard experience was great and I would highly recommend them!
Carpe Diem boat is well maintained and the crew is very warm and professional. Service and food was excellent. Dive Masters were extremely responsible and highly knowledgeable of the different dive sites that suit the capacity of the divers. They were also very informative and took the time to get to know us and make sure we were comfortable and enjoyed our trip. Food and lodgings were extremely good. All dive equipments were well maintained and catered to all our needs. The sites around Komodo were great and the crew matched it!!!

Couln't have wished for anything to be better.
I just spend one week on the beautiful Carpe Diem boat in Komodo and it makes me directly wanna go again. The crew consisted of more members than guests, was just incredibly friendly&adorable and took care of absolutely EVERYTHING. Best service, in every way. Due to the small group of guests, the atmosphere was very personal and familiar. The boat, on the other hand, was huge with plenty of room to relax. The cabins were spacious, very clean and comfortable. Food was delicious & plently, also for vegetarians. There were two diveguides, so each group consisted of only four divers, which made me feel very safe. Also, since dive sites were being checked in advance. I will definitely go again.
