Highlights
Perfectly designed for small groups and individuals who want more personalized service, the Carpe Diem Phinisi offers year-round dive itineraries in Raja Ampat and Komodo National Park. There are only 4 cabins available, with a maximum of 8 guests onboard. The Nutmeg cabin is a large double on the main deck and spans almost the entire boat's width. It has large forward-facing windows, a skylight, and ample storage space. On the lower deck is the Clove cabin, which has two single beds which can be converted to 1 double upon request. Also located on the lower deck are cabins Pandan and Cinnamon. These have one double and one single and can be used as a triple. The lower deck cabins have natural light and ventilation via porthole and skylight, and all cabins have en-suite bathrooms and individually controlled AC.
Social areas include the well-appointed saloon in the main deckhouse, which can comfortably accommodate 8 guests around the large table. Delicious locally sourced meals are served at the al fresco dining table, and dietary requirements can be catered to with advance notice.
Dive itineraries aboard the Carpe Diem Phinisi include Raja Ampat from November to April, Komodo from May to September, and some unforgettable trips in Ambon, the Banda Islands, and South Raja Ampat in between. Dive groups are small, and qualified dive guides with local knowledge and high service standards accompany each dive. The use of dive equipment is also included in the trip price.

Best trip ever!
My first liveaboard experience and I loved it. The size of the group is perfect, with maximum 8 guests on board and maximum 4 divers per guide. Everything was super organized and well considered. Cecile is a great host and knows so much about the area and takes some great photos! I always felt well cared for and safe. The dive guides were amazing, finding us everything we could ever want to see. Make sure you ask Martin for his special shark finding tool! Food was also amazing, every meal had so many options and we were never left hungry. It was the perfect trip from Ambon to Sorong.

The perfect cruise
The perfect cruise: a beautiful ship, a very friendly and efficient staff, magic dives ... especially those with whale sharks or with manta rays. Delicious food, spacious cabins ... I will go again on a cruise with Carpe Diem as soon as possible.

First liveaboard that set the bar very high for any next trip
Everything was perfect. The crew and dive masters provided superb service with diving and land excursions. 4 people per dive master was the perfect ratio. The traditional wood boat is comfortable with the outside dining and upstairs relaxing area. The rooms with private bathroom were also easy to live in for 8 days. They should add an optional cooking class with the chef :)

- We really liked that is it a small boat (max capacity of 10 guests). The chef was fantastic. Every meal was different and delicious with so much variation. It was great there was always Indonesian food included. The organization made everything feel smooth and under control but not in an overbearing way (all towels, water bottles and equipment labeled with our names).

Couln't have wished for anything to be better.
I just spend one week on the beautiful Carpe Diem boat in Komodo and it makes me directly wanna go again. The crew consisted of more members than guests, was just incredibly friendly&adorable and took care of absolutely EVERYTHING. Best service, in every way. Due to the small group of guests, the atmosphere was very personal and familiar. The boat, on the other hand, was huge with plenty of room to relax. The cabins were spacious, very clean and comfortable. Food was delicious & plently, also for vegetarians. There were two diveguides, so each group consisted of only four divers, which made me feel very safe. Also, since dive sites were being checked in advance. I will definitely go again.

Best liveaboard ever.
I just came from the trip „central and north Raja Ampat“ and am still amazed by the wonderful time I had on board. The ship itself is a traditional indonesian Phinsi and in very good shape (kind of new). The cabins are very cozy and with aircon, the entire ship is just beautiful. So is the crew. We did a kayak trip around Piaynemo and on other occasions you could take one of the kayaks or SUPs and just explore the nearby beaches if you wanted. The dive sites were wonderful and the diving procedure was relaxed. I did 19 dives on this trip. Having a very small group size of up to 8 divers is quite unique and definitely one of the selling points. So is the wooden boat itself. The boat is owned by two persons of which one (or sometimes both) is leading the trips. This makes it more interesting in my opinion. Unlike most other boats run by investors or big companies. Sodas included, food was delicious. I‘ll go again with them on another trip.
