Perfect for single travelers on a budget, the All Star Blackbeard's Sea Explorer, the identical twin sister of All Star Blackbeard's Morning Star, a member of the All Star Liveaboards Fleet, offers 3 dormitory-style cabin areas with 18 bunks and 3 shared bathrooms. Each cabin area has AC, and all are sectioned off with privacy curtains, similar to a sleeper cabin on a train. There is a choice of double or single bunks. Buffet meals with picnic-style dining are served in the air-conditioned salon, and all meals, snacks, and drinks, including beer, wine, and rum punch, are included during your stay.

All Star Blackbeard's Sea Explorer trips include diving with sharks, exhilarating drift diving, beautiful walls, and blue holes around the Exuma Cays. There is no set itinerary aboard the All Star Blackbeard's Sea Explorer; the captain and crew will take the boat where the conditions and weather are best. Great crew, Great Dive, Great food!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My overall experience was an incredible one. The crew was extremely professional and were very adept at handling a couple "experienced" divers that kept chiming in and trying to question or correct what the crew said and did. The crew is obviously extremely competent with their roles and did an amazing job communicating with each other and with the passengers.

Impossible to get more on a trip!
The crew on Blackbeards Sea Explorer were phenomenal! Brian did great briefings. Iain took us to amazing spots with our safety always in mind. Justing gave us the VIP treatment with great stories, Elayna was a joy to be around, and Chris was a blast and worked hard to keep everything running. Also, Gladys cooked amazing food and was a ton of fun to be around! Only thing I could recommend in the future would be a Margarita machine but that's it. Can't wait to come back!

Great value for the money liveaboard with excellent crew, instructors, food and briefings
This was a great overall liveaboard experience. The crew was excellent, helpful, empathetic and very professional and they delivered some of the best briefings I ever had. The fact that they actvely tried to prepare you to be a better diver is an extra that I had never had before and will look for from now on. The food on the sea explorer was some of the best I had in Nassau. You'll see this in many reviews and trust me, it is a highlight. There's also downsides that you need to be ready for: the Sea Explorer is a 2-level sailboat so the "living" space is limited. We spent most of the trip on the top deck, the weather was fantastic, and sharing stories with the crew and rest of the divers. The cabins are shared and they are bunk beds. Also the "storage space" is extremely limited so be ready to limit the amount of clothes you'll pack (you'll be on vacation on a boat, you will not need so much :) ). The crew also organized some "side activities" to enjoy the Bahamas while strictly keeping the 4-dives-a-day schedule. Great value for the money.

Awesome, great-value on a budget dive trip. Highly recommended.
The divemaster was funny and gave the best briefings. Our cook was an alchemist in the little galley. The crew was awesome and the Captain was very competent and experienced.

Awesome Time
Even for someone who likes the water four dives a day and an afternoon swim is alot of water time! Despite some rain the trip was awesome. Lots of animal life. The shark feed had to be the highlight for me. Next the swim throughs. Blue Hole. The crew was awesome and all the fellow divers got along great. Fantastic value for the money.

Although cabins and bathrooms are rustic - still clean and comfortable, the food was amazing and super tasty... Dan, the cook, converts the diving trip also into a foodie tour, serving 3 meals and 2 snacks a day:) Crew was great and always friendly and attentative. even though weather conditions were so so, captain Chris and his team made the best out of it. They brought in as much diving diversity as possible even restrained by limited possibilities due to sea conditions. We had shark feeding, diving through a washing machine, deep dives, wrecks, very vivid night dives etc. The instructor/ dive master Ian is great fun and always happy to help. felt secure and in good hands and all times. Very recomendable dive trip!

Great Week
We just got back from a great week on Sea Explorer in Feb 2024. For the price, it really was a fantastic experience, and other than the accommodations, you don’t really miss out on anything the more expensive liveaboards offer. Rental gear was in good condition, we dove the same sites, food was fantastic and plentiful. The diving was good, though the water was chilly. If you go in Feb, make sure you pack a warm wetsuit and hood/gloves/warm socks. We liked that we got a good variety of types of dives - sunny/shallow reefs, wrecks, walls, drifts, blue hole, night. The crew were truly incredible. Captain Jenn was amazing! She kept us safe and selected dive sites that were suited to the weather/water conditions. She also asked all of us at the start of the trip if we had any “must-dos” and was able to accommodate all of them. The rest of the crew (Ty, Andrew, Mike, Barry, Stacey) worked hard to make sure we had everything we needed to have a great trip. Thanks to all of you!

Amazing First Liveaboard Trip!
This trip was honestly such an amazing experience. You board the boat with more than 20 strangers and leave with new friends! Dive spots were incredible - some of the best diving we have done in the Bahamas! Food was great and crew made it even better. Highly recommend!

This was my first Liveaboard, it's like camping at sea, and the dives were not guided, which was a little surprising, however I had an amazing time. The crew were knowledgeable and helpful, the chef excellent, and the best element was meeting people from all over the world and making friends for life.

A little cramped and basic however comfortable and facilities kept very clean. Great food, plentiful, well prepared, delicious and nutritious. Great comaraderie made friends for life!.

There is no better liveaboard value afloat.
We did 19 dives and it's hard to pick favorites but the shark feeding dive was a bucket list caliber experience. The night dives were exceptional. The washing machine drift dive was a once in a lifetime experience. The part of the experience was meeting the crew and other divers. All were great and made the trip memorable.

Awesome Service
Diving was limited due to hurricane Nicole. The crew did their best to get a few days of diving in before we had to head back to port for safety reasons. What happened next was unexpected and above the norm. The parent company put us up in a nice hotel for the remainder of the trip and we all had a blast. Next, they awarded us a partial future trip credit for the days we did not get to dive. Great job Blackbird on going above and beyond on all fronts. Looking forward to using the trip credit and getting to see the full trip soon. Thanks to the crew for making our limited time together a blast.
