Highlights
The Calipso liveaboard schedules year-round diving in the Galapagos National Park. Completely renovated in 2019, everything was designed to offer comfort and a fresh, modern environment. There are 6 cabins on the upper deck and 2 cabins on the main deck, each with panoramic windows, en-suite bathrooms, a hairdryer, individually controlled AC, a TV with hundreds of films to choose from, a safety deposit box, USB charging ports, and laminate flooring. Beds are doubles that can be converted into two singles. There is also a single cabin located on the lower deck with no single supplement, subject to availability. At 33m in length, there is more than enough space for 16 guests and 11 crew members on board. Social areas include an indoor salon and dining area, where international and Ecuadorian cuisine is served, featuring fresh local produce and seafood. The top deck has lounge chairs, a BBQ, a bar, and a hot tub.
Calipso Galapagos dive itineraries are 7 nights long and explore the world-famous Wolf & Darwin for the chance to get up close with whale sharks, hammerheads, and dolphins. Calipso also visits Marchena, previously only dived by a few scientists and filmmakers; it is known for having huge pods of dolphins, schools of Hammerheads, and Galapagos sharks. The large dive deck at the back of the boat has rinse tanks, hot water showers, dedicated camera storage and cleaning areas, and personal towels.

Above and beyond
It is absolutely a pleasure to sail with the Calipso. The cohesiveness of the crew and the service they provided is just at another level. Our guides were super knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. Chef should get a Michelin Star. The amenities are modern and perfect, definitely top class. If I’ll come back to the Galápagos, I’ll do it again with the Calipso.

Incredible Adventure with a Fantastic Crew
Outstanding attention to detail and fantastic service. Great meals, cleanliness. When launching or bringing in divers the entire crew - cooks to mechanics to dive masters - leap to assist divers off w their gear and suits. The cabins are very nice, thoughtful and modern; AC works great. Only input would be that it might be time to replace older rental suits and BC’s.

The sea life and the excellent crew.

- The Galapagos really delivers the best in diving - pristine, so many animals, a truly special place. The Calipso was well suited for scuba diving; the hot towels and hot showers on the dive deck hit the spot after each dive. The crew was engaging and fun.

Great liveaboard
If you want to swim with sharks, mola molas, and rays, and also you want to play with sealions, this is the only choice you have. Dive guides will get you there to show what you want. Every crew was very friendly, and dive guides were perfect. Room condition was also great. However, tip rate is bit high (they recommend 10% of tour price)

Great dives
The guides I had are great. One is really knowledge about the islands. The other took plenty of photos of the animals and everyone and made a movie for us at the end. The food is amazing for a liveaboard. Rooms are spacious and bright. Water is frigid. They will tell you average water temperature is 23 oC in December. That is the warmest water we encountered. Half the dives had a temperature between 16 and 19. Bring some shorties in addition to the 7mm

Exceptional experience!!!
So many highlights I can’t even begin to describe them. The boat and crew were simply incredible. I would recommend medication for sea sickness as in august the Galapagos is choppy water. I would also suggest you have the necessary diving experience required to take this challenge on. Thank you Calipso for the trip of my life!!!!

Expensive but worth it.
I had a great time in Galapagos. not just scuba dive but also land tour. I had many experience of live a board in many countries. however crew from Calipso is beyond my expectation. after finish the dive crew will give you a warm tower not just hand to hand. they put it on your back and it feels so good. and being treated like family. I had some problem with my camera hood, the engineer helped me to fix it without hesitation. and another unforgettable experience is, I had lost my sunglasses when we were doing boat tour. and crew member helped me to find the sunglasses. they asked to other boat to borrow mask and skorkel and they kindly wait for me until I found it. dive masters are so professional and passionate. when there was some bad air issue from the tank on few trips. I complained about it because I coughed so badly. then they listened and fixed it. and I was very surprised that they admitted right away and apologized for that happened. I still can't believe that I came back to the normal life. I feel still my soul is in Galapagos. thank you once again to the all crew members on board.
