Great experience in a far away land.
Lots of dolphins, great guides, amazing variety and healthy reef system. Good was done very well and were well fed and happy. This is a very isolated trip with lots of solitude and beauty.

Incredible experience that showcases all that Seven Brothers has to offer
The diving! we saw turtles, rays, dolphins, SPINY LOBSTERS, soooo many eels, beautiful schools of fish and more. The dive guides were phenomenal and tailored the experience to the diving ability of the group. We will be back when it's whale shark season!

Wonderful underwater adventure at Seven Brothers on the Lucy
Finding a nurse shark sleeping under a ledge, losing count of the number of moray eels and sea cucumbers we had seen, watching about fifteen dolphins joyfully swim around us, several face-to-face encounters with sea turtles, really good visibility at Seven Brothers, fascinating topography underwater, great hike to the top of one of the islands, wonderful excursion to Lac Assal on our final day before returning (paid separately), smooth logistics and really friendly staff!

Excellent alternative to Egypt with guaranteed whale sharks (at season) and perfect food
Please consider Djibouti as an alternative to Egypt! Diving at Seven Brothers is perfectly unspoilt, the reefs are healthy, colourful and abundant of different fish, visibility is close to perfect. Although the dive sites are not deep (in average 16-18 metres), there are strong currents so you need to know how to dive currents in order to fully enjoy the reefs and fish. Diving at the Gulf of Tadjoura is not as nice as visibility is quite bad and corals are not that colourful as in the Red Sea, but the main attraction there is snorkelling with whale sharks, which are guaranteed at season. It is really a great experience as the whalesharks come really shallow and stay with snorkelers for quite a time. Lucy is the only boat going to Seven Brothers so diving is very unspoilt and intimate. There are a few more boats at the Gulf of Tadjoura but it never gets even close to crowded. The boat is very new and comfortable, especially the 2 master cabins on the main deck. I cannot say enough about the food - freshly caught fish (as sashimi/ceviche and perfectly baked ) every lunch and dinner, very tasty and healthy salads, pastas and deserts. The Italian/French management knows how to run the boat!!!! Thank you, it was close to perfect.

- 1) the best food we have ever had on liveaboards; 2) guaranteed snorkelling with whalesharks (at season); 3) unspoilt diving with A LOT OF FISH at Seven Brothers
extraordinary location, away from the (dive)crowds
Diving at 7 brothers is magnificent because the site is untouched, pristine, Because of its isolation only one operator goes there. Visa regulations for Djibouti are a hurdle. Whale shark encounter is a very emotional expirience.

Reefs and whalesharks
The MY Lucy is the only liveaboard cruising at the Seven Brother Islands, so the reefs are almost untouched. Dolphins, sharks and stingrays will join your dives. Strong currents let you drift along very rich reefs with large schools of fish. The second part of the trip was the gulf of Tadjourah with its murky waters and lots of whalesharks. If you look for a liveaboard away from the crowds, then Lucy is highly recommended.

hard to reach location and good value for the money
Because of weather situation, I was late 1 day in arriving. The captain specially sent a boat back from the near harbor diving location to pick me up. I am grateful that I only missed 1 day of diving. Diving at the Seven Brothers was very interesting.

Spacious rooms, beautiful diving in Djibouti
We had been on Lucy in end of January / beginning of February 2020 and did a trip to the Seven Brother Islands. We were told that this should be one of Lucy's last trips for this season. Even though we could notice that it was the end of the season, the crew was friendly and helpful. The trip was not fully booked so we had a lot of space on the ship. We had cabins in the lower deck and found them to be the most spacious cabins we ever had on a liveaboard. Even the en-suite toilet/shower was very spacious. The dive deck offered enough space although it might be a bit packed when the boat is full. Unfortunately, there is almost no shade on the sun deck where it can get very hot. The lounge area is covered but no sunbeds are provided there. To reach the dive sites we always used the zodiacs. As the they drove quite slowly, it took some time to get to the dive sites and back which means we had around 90 minutes between the dives and meals to relax before getting ready for the next dive. The dive sites around Seven Brothers offer some of the most beautiful and intact coral gardens we had ever seen (including the Red Sea). The visibility in the Gulf of Tadjourah was quite poor and we were glad we spent the most time at Seven Brothers. We also found a lot of dolphins, huge schools of (juvenile) barracudas, turtles and many more.

- Cabins are very spacious, beautiful coral gardens in Seven Brothers
A great diving experience in a place less traveled.
We got to see many dolfins and the marine life was plentiful while the coral was abundant and in great condition.

Exclusive Divetrip
We were so happy that the trip took place at all, because we were the only paying guests. The owner of the boat - a passionate diver as my daughter and I - joined us for this really amazing and exclusive trip. We did the White Lady, a very old wreck totally overgrown with white soft corals and inhabitated by an enormous grouper and a leopard shark. The Coral Gardens were so alive and intact like they must have been in the Red Sea some fifty years ago. The crew was super friendly and helpful with everything. THANK YOU AGAIN!

Unsafe liveaboard with lack of working equipment - not recommended
No safety standards on the vessel Provided tanks and equipment in very poor and unsafe condition Emergency ascend needed in 25m due to broken O-rings Worst liveaboard after 400 dives, not recommended The encounter with 3 whalesharks was great, but it is artificial. They just come in the night because the light of the vessel attracts the plancton and the whalesharks feed.

Ten whale sharks feeding in one view on a night dive, amazing!!
The crew both dive and boat are as keen as the divers and nothing is to much trouble. The quantity of Whale Sharks on each dive or snorkel. The best night dive ever and a pod of Orca's made a great week.
