Highlights
The 38-cabin Wilderness Discoverer was built in 1992 and renovated in 2011. The open-plan lounge and dining room have a relaxed atmosphere, with the beautiful cedar wood bar a great place to get a drink and socialize with other guests. There are three decks, including a sun deck, from which you can admire the stunning scenery. The small ship cruise vessel carries an impressive assortment of adventure gear, such as kayaks, skiffs, paddleboards, and hiking poles. Do you still have the energy to burn? You can make full use of the onboard fitness equipment. Alternatively, if a little R&R is more in line with your desires, there are two onboard hot tubs. You can choose between four classes of cabins, each with a private bathroom, air conditioning, and a TV/DVD player. Each cabin also has a viewing window. See and hear more underwater action with the hydrophone and underwater camera.
Explore the wilds of Alaska on the Wilderness Discoverer. Choose between 7-night itineraries, head off the tried-and-trodden trail, and see remote parts of Alaska and more well-known destinations. Depending on the itinerary, highlights may include marveling at the glacial wonders of Glacier Bay National Park, Tracy Arm, and Endicott Arm, spotting whales in the wild, hikes on the islands of Baranof and Chichagof, wildlife watching at South Marble Island, the Brothers Islands, Peril Strait, and Behm Canal, exploring Tongass National Forest and Misty Fjords National Monument, and a cultural visit to a Tlingit community.
The helpful team of the Wilderness Discoverer is all set to make your trip memorable. Book online to secure your preferred itinerary.

Fabulous fantastic unforgettable experience!
The incredible scenery: snow capped mountains everywhere, waterfalls, glaciers, the large and small icebergs from Dawes Glacier, the wildlife -- whales orcas porpoises bears mountain goats sea otters sea lions seals. The crew -- friendly, knowledgeable, passionate, competent, welcoming. The ship -- very comfortable, great food, great bar, excellent library. The coordination of everything was perfect, from boarding to zodiac trips to disembarking. The flexibility of the crew. The lack of pushy promotions and advertising.

The wildlife and scenery were stunning! Saw whales several times - once right next to the skiff. Sealions, seals, porpoise, sea otters, bald eagles, puffins, star fish, sea urchins, etc.
