The Ratu Laut - meaning Queen of the Sea, offers year-round liveaboard diving in Indonesia. At 30m long she caters to just 12 guests in 2 large quad cabins and 2 smaller twin cabins. All cabins feature AC, fresh towels, and linen. 2 shared bathrooms are located on the upper deck. Also on the upper deck is a large open-air shaded dining area and lounge. The top deck is home to the sun deck with sunbeds and bean bags.
Diving focuses on Raja Ampat, and the cruise director will choose the best dive sites on the day based on the weather, currents, and tides. Divers can expect to do up to 4 dives per day, including a sunset or night dive. The captain, dive guides, and crew of the Ratu Laut have years of experience in the Indonesian waters. The Ratu Laut phinisi is operated by Barefoot Conservation NGO, and all profits from the trips go towards science, research, and conservation programmes, so you can rest assured that you are helping the marine environment when you dive with the Ratu Laut. Marine Biologists and Manta Ray Scientists will also be on the trip to collect data and do presentations on the research being conducted on manta rays.

This was an awesome experience all around!
It was great to be on a trip and have everything taken care of. I didn’t have to worry about anything. The staff kept us well informed, with a briefing each night for the following day, plus a briefing for each dive. I was happy to see that the reefs appear to be very healthy, with tons of fascinating creatures to be seen. It was my first time seeing mantas, and we saw plenty from our viewpoint at a cleaning station. It was relaxing and invigorating at the same time!

Terrible experience
None. The boat is a wreck. Rats in the rooms....major mechanical problems....we almost sank in a remote area at sea. Please do yourself a favor and book on another boat.

Amazing experience - will come back!
I have enjoyed the liveaboard to the fullest. The dive sites were amazing, filled with life. Every crew member was smiling at all time and super friendly. They made the experience quite special. The food was super tasty. I will come back next year for the 10 days trip!

The boat is in very bad condition
The highlights were that I was not informed that the boat's compressor broke and therefore we can only leave 2 days later, we should then be persuaded not to go to Misool (although everyone on board booked the trip solely for this reason have). Then after 2 days the fresh water ran out because they forgot to fill up the tank before departure and we couldn't even wash our hands (although some of the crew members were still able to take a shower). Then water ran from the showers into the cabins. Furthermore, due to a short circuit, all of the charging adapters broke. The worst for me was the permanent noise of the engine and the smell of diesel. I've been on at least 15 liveaboards but this was the worst boat and never had so many things go wrong as on this boat. Then the owner also said that because the boat is so small, it is more difficult to drive when the weather forecast is not 100% correct. So I advise everyone to pay a little more but have a safe trip.

Wonderful days with wonderful people
That we met friendly divers from Poland who exchanged the cabin with us. The oceanic mantas and the landscape of Misool as well as Raja Ampat.

Great first liveaboard experience covering Central and North Raja Ampat!
The diving is exceptional and way exceeded what we were expecting! The crew is amazing; very good at what they do! The food was mainly traditional indonesian cuisine which we thoroughly enjoyed. Otniel, Opes, and Onkor were all awesome and very passionate dive guides. Could seriously use some marine life identification guides on the boat to complement the amazing array of life we saw on our dives.
