Idyliic Diving on a Beautiful Boat
Excellent boat with great facilities and cabins. The food was second to none (international cruise boat standard) and all crew including the cruise director were friendly and helpful The diving had amazing visibility with all the bucket list items we wanted to see (mantas, sharks, sea crates); the list goes on. Couldn't ask for anything more. Highly recommend!

Experienced Guides = excellent trip
The dive spots are amazing. Diving with some of the more experienced guides in the Komodo park. Moana dives exclusively in Komodo year round, which means they understand the dive sites, currents and tides that only years of experience diving the area brings. The boat is comfortable and well run. The pacing of the diving is great - we had the opportunity of up to 4 dives on a full day - which on a 6 day dive trip was about right. We also got to experience some of the Komodo National park - seeing the dragons, doing a sunset walk, spending time on a remote beach. Perfect liveaboard - dive and cruise.

fantastic diving, lovely crew, food and boat
The diving around Komodo is excellent - highly varied with at least one spectacular and unique site per day. Currents can be strong (though we went during a low-current period) so nervous divers may want to check on the moon-phase before booking. The crew are fantastic, including the (very professional and friendly) manager and lead dive-master Mario, the lovely on-deck servers and many more helping out behind the scenes. Food was amazingly good, with a main meal or tasty snack between every dive. The boat Moana is wooden and very pretty, with *loads* of space up on deck for the (max 10) guests to spread out on. Time between dives is so nice and relaxing, sitting reading and watching the many islands slide by. Sleeping up on deck at night was nice, with really clear stars one night. Cabins are very comfortable - quite small, but are all you need, and for the price (which is much less than some other boats serving the region) perfectly fine. Only two minor niggles - would prefer the other dive masters to be a little less "invasive" in poking some of the underwater critters (though it's a little hypocritical of me to say this, as my photos did benefit from that.....) and it might be good to be clearer up front that the Komodo dragon island visit is a little bit rubbish (we just saw a few dragons hanging around the ranger compound toilet......none out in the woods), but then we didn't go primarily for the dragons. Overall - fantastic crew/boat/diving/food, good value for money, and a wonderfully relaxing week.
