Barefoot luxury is the theme behind Mikumba Dua (of lost paradise charters) liveaboard Indonesia, having undergone an extensive renovation giving a contemporary twist to this traditional wooden boutique style phinisi. Mikumba Dua boasts the largest outdoor space found on any vessel in her class, spanning over 4 decks, allowing guests to indulge in alfresco dining under the stars while sipping away at their favorite drink or perhaps getting involved in some sunrise/sunset yoga or just lounging around on beanbags with a book. The main hub of the boat is the beautiful indoor salon, which also offers dining, a cinema room, a library, board games, or simply space for relaxation. There are 2 Master cabins on the upper deck, both en-suite and with their own private balcony, with a further 3 double/twin cabins on the lower deck sharing 2 bathrooms. All cabins are spacious and individually designed, embracing traditional local materials and fabrics.
Dining generally takes place on the top deck while taking in incredible vistas; our legendary local chef will provide a selection of authentic dishes prepared daily using the freshest locally sourced ingredients and cooked with dedication and love. The Ethos onboard Mikumba Dua is to seek adventure while getting you away from the crowds and giving you world-class diving and snorkeling. Visit secret beaches and lagoons and encounter breathtaking views from jungle-covered hilltops, all of which make for a truly magical experience, “the stuff of dreams.”
The enchanting and magnificent Raja Ampat, one of the last frontiers on Earth, is the ultimate tropical paradise. Commonly regarded as the most biodiverse marine ecosystem on our planet and ultimately some of the greatest diving and snorkeling in the world, as beautiful above the surface as below, it is “truly Heaven on Earth.”
The ambiance aboard Mikumba Dua reflects the feeling that guests are extended family and perfectly combines the balance of adventure and the feeling of home. Mikumba Dua is also available for private hire; the date of the charter, length of trip, locations, and activities can all be tailored to your needs.

A true lost paridise charter.
A lostparadisecharter it truly is. Guides are exceptionally observant and notice creatures even before those know they will show up in that place (once again, cheers to you Fadly). Underwater life- unimaginable, not a great number of one variety, but a tremendous variety of species of almost every single type of marine creature. Crew – all great people, friendly, professional, fun. Food – abundant, all very tasty, some of the dishes best I have ever had. Cabins and boat itself – all lovely, tek wood finishings, careful attention to every detail, a pleasure to live there. And the attractions - adventures and stuff- fun, seem to be impossible at first but then turn out to be just as promised and even better! The captains both wounderful, professionals in their own right; Jem very concerned and attentive instructor, lovely person, Damian – true entertainer that unites the guests and keeps them in awe of the magic of the nature around, all with a touch of humour. Having said all that, this cruise is for those who are in Raja the first time and have not seen anything yet – the itinerary described on LiveAboard.com is not strictly followed and if you plan what exactly you want to see based on the description, this might be a disappointment - so best contact lostparadisecharters directly to check out what route to expect.

First Class Diving Experience
The trip with the fabulous Mikumba II (www.mikumbadua.com) was absolutely great in every detail and we enjoyed it to the fullest. Everything on this lovely wooden Phinisi boat is absolutely perfect: Starting from the warm welcome of the whole crew, the clean and tidy bedrooms on a high standard, the wonderful and practical deck with bean bags to hang around, the big dining table under the shadow on the top deck, the neatly organized dive station with modern and perfectly maintained dive equipment, and the caring and always helping crew working all around the clock to make the sojourn of its guests as memorable as possible. Our dive guides, Fadly and Willy, belong to the absolute elite of dive masters in the Komodo region. It was a big honor and privilege to dive with and learn from them. Further, one of the British owners, Jem, was with us during the whole turn and, being a dive master himself, supported the team on deck and took care of the guest relations in an adorable way. The lovely and always smiling crew of 12 people looks after the 10 guests like they belong to their own family. Two tender boats bring the two dive groups to the different dive sites in parallel, which all belong the most prestigious and well-known worldwide. The nature above and under water around the Komodo National Park is simply breathtaking and thrilling at the same time. The broad variety of thousands of fish and the vibrant colors of the coral reefs are outstanding! Apart from diving, the trip includes fabulous visits on beautiful islands, hikes on scenic hills, the watching of Komodo dragons and much more. Furthermore, the food of the kitchen is absolutely excellent and plenty of cooled soft drinks as well as water/tea/coffee is permanently available. All in all, our time on the Mikumba II was the alone standing highlight of our vacation in Indonesia. We would always love to come back and will recommend it to all of our family and friends! The smiles and the joy of each and everyone on this boat is simply what makes this journey the most adorable of our diving memories so far.
