Brilliant time! Loved it!

This was our first liveaboard experience and it was fantastic. The crew and diving instructors were very friendly and helpful. We felt safe and comfortable in their hands. The food was delicious, we felt very looked after. The diving was incredible...manta rays, turtles and sharks! They made everything so easy and sorted out all the diving gear etc. The lift off the boat made it super easy to get in and out of the boats. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We did our advanced open water course while we were there and it was great. Met some amazing and interesting people on the boat from all over the world. I would definitely recommend diving with these guys. You get to see so much and dive loads..around 4 a day! We loved it..thank you so much xx :)

From strangers to a big family

This liveaboard has been more than perfect. The crew was superb and they took care of everything for you! The food was amazing and the accommodation was comfortable. The best part of this - they keep you safe (something inexperienced divers - less than 20 logged dives - like me really want to have!). The dive instructors that went along with you have many years of experience and they ensure your safety all the time - from the briefings, to the checks and to the diving itself. We were treated with great hospitality and it really felt like home away from home. In the past 5 days, we grew from strangers to a big family. It was hard to leave because it was the most amazing experience ever.

Great First-Ever Liveaboard Experience!

Batu Balong was an amazing dive site, and it was so great that we got to go two times! We also really enjoyed Makassar Reef. We saw lots of beautiful sea life on all of our dives. The boat itself was simple, but comfortable. The relaxing areas were excellent! Even with a full boat of divers, we didn't feel crowded. Our dive master, Jan, was informative and friendly. We can't say enough great things about the food! Michael--you are a great chef and we enjoyed every meal! The BBQ on the beach on our last evening was an added bonus. It was a great way to celebrate the completion of our dives and relax & chat together.

Wonderful Trip

Raja ampat is really world's best diving place. I could see amazing coral, a lot of fish. During trip, EmpressII gave me nice service. I and my wife were very satisfied. But the smog made by the boat made me suffer. If it is fixed, I will not hesitate to choose this boat for my next trip.

Budget liveaboard

Some beautiful reefs to dive, saw some new creatures which the guide showed us and he knew where to find them. Also saw mantas and mola mola. A lovely shore visit to the pink beach, with an excellent barbecue on another tiny island. The food was really excellent, although soft drinks were charged $2, which was a first for me on a liveaboard. On the downside - only one toilet and shower for guests to share, and the water ran out mid week (we were warned this may happen, so its probably a regular occurrence, in which case I wondered why the kitchen staff left taps running and sinks overflowing!). I chose this boat as it provided Nitrox, but there was none, and the hired kit was in poor state (neither dump valve worked on my BCD, zips broken on wetsuits). Polish was the main language, so I was slightly marginalised being English - but maybe this is the same on any liveaboard where there is a group booking. Overall good; you get what you pay for so if you want economy and are prepared to queue for the toilet or shower, the staff are committed to safe diving - and that's what I went for, not luxury.

Kid-friendly

My 12YO son and I had a good experience with Empress II this summer. Both Thomas and Michael are very patient helping my son get his AOW. My son loves them and had fun playing cards with them every night. Michael is very professional and serious about the safety of each diver. Thomas is fun and easy to get along with. The rooms are not luxury but functioning well. Food is good. Instructions are clear. Hope the company grows and we divers have affordable options diving in Komodo and Raja Ampat!

Excellent dives and staff; Average boat

Excellent dive sites and saw turtles, sharks (plenty), mantas, eagle rays, all sorts of fishes ... Dive guides extremely knowledgeable and avoided many direct currents. Stayed for two consecutive trips in a fan room. Overall facilities especially dive elevator - save trouble of climbing back into boat after diving. Divers however need to take quick showers otherwise fresh water will be a concern.

Night dive in Komodo are extraordinary. Even if it is a challenging itinary, crew on board know everything in this area. Under the sea they are great to communicate. Go with this crew with confiance. Each year there is missing diver at Komodo. We were witnesses of a disappearance in the currents of a diver of another liveabord on July 13, 2017. Believe me you want a team of confidence and security to dive in Komodo. | N'hésitez pas à réserver avec cette équipe, de plus si Audrée accompagné votre groupe vous aurez la chance d'avoir toutes les infos en français!

Great experience

The crew is professional when it comes to diving and boat safety, but they were also a lot of fun to hang out with and are a friendly and easy going. We met great people on the boat from all over and had a wonderful experience diving and socializing with everyone. The dive sites we visited were absolutely amazing!!! Saw lots of turtles and manta rays!:) Dolphins were visible from the surface. The water was wonderful, boat accommodations were a bit small but clean and had everything we needed. Food was delicious. Do yourself a favour and book this dive safari with Empress II:)

Absolutely amazing trip

The helpful, friendly and fun crew made our Raja Ampat trip in March 2017 an unforgettable time. Our room was very nice, the food was absolutely amazing and plentiful and the dives were planned and briefed very well. We couldn`t have wished for anything else and we'd highly recommend this ship for anyone who looks for an individual experience in an relaxed atmosphere due to the small number of divers on board. We may be back on board any time soon. Thanks again for the great time!
