Set sail on an Indonesian adventure aboard the Akomo Isseki liveaboard. A traditional hand-crafted wooden phinisi, she is crewed by the Bugis sailors of South Sulawesi and offers fantastic dive itineraries in Raja Ampat and Komodo National Park. Four naturally vented cabins with twin beds cater to 8 guests on board. Shared bathrooms feature modern facilities and traditional handicrafts. Social areas include the communal dining area and a large partially covered sun deck. Enjoy a selection of freshly cooked Indonesian and Western meals, beach BBQs, freshly baked bread, treats, and hot coffee. Days can be spent lounging on the sun deck in-between dives, kayaking, snorkeling, and island visits, and unwinding at the end of the day enjoying an incredible sunset, the sea breeze, and a cold beer with your fellow dive buddies.

The Akomo Isseki phinisi visits dive destinations, including Raja Ampat, Komodo National Park, and the Banda - Ambon crossing. In Komodo, dive at Karang Makassar and get up close with schools of Manta Rays, enjoy a dusk dive at Palau Siaba to watch the beautiful Mandarin fish perform their mating dance ritual, and walk with Dragons on Komodo island. Raja Ampat itineraries are offered from November - April and are a divers' paradise. Home to some of the most bio-diverse diving in the world, marine life encounters can include wobbegong sharks, pygmy seahorses, nudibranch galore, dugong, manta rays, and humpback whales. For the more adventurous, the Spice Island Trail from Ambon to Waisai (or reverse) is not to be missed. This is the chance to dive off the beaten track and explore untouched beauty with the chance to dive with schooling hammerheads.

Just an amazing Trip!

Crew was extremely welcoming, kind, and took the time to get to know us. By the end of the trip, it felt like family. The boat only fits 8 people, which is the perfect size to get to know everyone on the boat. Divemasters were extremely experienced and knew exactly when to dive and where. They personalized the dives based on our experience levels and made so many accommodations for us so we could see manta rays. Would recommend bringing your own dive computer. The chef fed us like kings with well-balanced indonesian home cooking. What an unforgettable trip!

Akomo Isseki is not a luxurious liveaboard, but very traditional and charming in full harmony with the nature of Raja Ampat and most importantly well equipped for pleasant diving.

Diving at Nudi Rock (Misool) - best dive ever! Sunrise and sunset on the sea level from the Akomo Isseki deck - unique natural tranquility. Good atmosphere on board between guests and crew - we laughed a lot and had fun. Great local food prepared in such a small kitchen - impressive and so tasty!

Recommended for
The Akomo Isseki crew took us to the edge of the civilisation, a stepback in time - in particular when exploring Misool in the South of Rajat Ampat with its fantastic coral reefs and rich marine life. The whole crew was so friendly, professional and always eager to please us - above and under water (big compliment!!!)). In addition to great diving experiences the crew offered special team events, e.g. barbeque evening and volleyball on lonely beaches, kayak and boat trips through the mangroves, hiking to viewing platforms.

It was my favourite liveaboard ever, nice boat, good guides, very helpful and friendly crew. I will never forgeth this trip!

Highlight for me was to see mantas! The short trips in the afternoons to islands and viewpoints where really fun. Corals and fish are just incredible there!

Awesome diving week!

The dive sites are really good, we saw so many sea animals and the guides were very experienced in planning the dives so we got wonderful diving experiences (schedule, considerations about other diver groups on-site, they know the dive sites well).

Perfektes Konzept, für alle die so etwas suchen (und da gibt es viele)

Das Boot ist einfach gehalten, wer Luxus im Stiel von Einrichtung und extras sucht ist hier falsch. Wer die Ruhe auf See, wenn mal alle motoren aus sind als Luxus sieht (was bei dem Boot dank Solar versorgung auch wirklich möglich ist), der hat hier Luxus puur :-) Es ist einfach gehalten, aber trotzdem sehr angenehm, mit die beiden Deks, mit Kissen mit Blachen überdacht, der "Ess Raum" und Kabine reichen vollkommen um es gemütlich zu haben. Ich verzichte gerne auf die Klimagerät für die Möglichkeit mal einfach ganz ruhig auf See zu sein. Und eine Eigene Dusche / Toilette mag schön sein, aber braucht unverhältnismässig viel Platz, denman anders besser nutzt. So geht das Konzept für mich super auf. Auch sonst passt mir das Konzept perfekt. "Wir machen nix mit unseren Gästen, was wir nicht selbst machen würden". Also halt zum Beispiel in unserem Fall kein Nachttauchgang, wenn es da nix spezielles in der Nacht zu sehen gibt (einfach nur damit man einen angeboten hat). Passt.
