Extraordinary
Everything about the CV was terrific: the dive sites were fabulous - sharks, rays, fish species that I've never seen before. The food was great; the ship was comfortable, and the crew members, especially the dive team, went out of their way to assure a perfect experience. There was never a question that safety was paramount, the dive team made sure of that. July may not be the ideal time of year for the Maldives, but it didn't matter - the experience was superb.

My diving experience in Maldives with Carpe Vita was the most amazing dive trip ever!
The highlights of my trip were the fabulous diving that included seeing a whale shark, a nice comfortable trip in a great cabin, eating wonderful food, and meeting new friends.

- The most amazing things on this liveaboard was the amazing diving with awesome guides, the large, spacious yacht, and the large variety of food.
Comfortable boat and beautiful dives
Lots of nurse sharks, white tip sharks, grey reef sharks, Mantas, sting rays, turtles. Very beautiful reefs and the guides we had are really very very helpful. They really stretched so much to make sure we had great diving experience. Greatly appreciate their help. The boat is really nice and comfortable. Food is about average, no complaints though. Overall the company Carpe Diem has done a great job to make sure everybody gets a great experience on their boats. I am really happy I had the opportunity to experience Maldives with them.

Terrific Escape From the World!
Obviously strange to vacation during covid times, but the crew was exemplary on all fronts. The boat was immaculate and every effort was made to ensure our comfort and safety. Looking forward to traveling with them again!

Friendly vibe, helpful staff, great diving.
The best thing was just living on the Carpe Vita. Beyond that, the captain did a great job of spotting a whale shark and getting us into the water so we could swim with it. Also, our two visits to a Manta cleaning station let us get close to 12 Mantas the first time and 9 the second time. Then the dive guide led us out away from the cleaning station but up at the same level as the Mantas, who ended up swimming alongside us. We also saw tons of sharks and rays. The best diving trip I've ever taken.

Great experience and probaly the only way to dive the Maldives and experience the different environments.
Great dive trip but not for those for wanting a laid back time. 21 days in 6 days is a tough but very enjoyable schedule. Only suggestion was that it is focused on the big stuff and the if they dont show, the guides seem unprepared for alternatives on the small stuff. The night dive with the Mantas has to be one of the highlights of my diving experiences.

The best Liveaboard
If you are looking for a Liveaboard you should pick Carpe Vita. it is the best Liveaboard I have ever been on. The boat is comfortable, the food was very good and the diving tender you dive off is the best setup I have used. But the thing that makes the Carpe Vita stand out above the rest is the staff. From the time we first sent them an email to the drop off at the airport every thing was perfect, I could not find one thing that they could of done better. The staff on the boat from the captain to the boat boys made our trip into a very relaxing time not a dive boot camp you can get when you do 4 dives a day. They had a perfect mix of professionalism and a relaxed nature and managed to keep to the dive schedule with out any fuss. They are a credit to their company. Probably the best recommendation I could give them is that we will come back no need to try another boat or company. Thanks guys for a wonderful trip

Much space and clean boat
Highlight of diving should be Manta encounter. We met so many manta relaxing close to us. Night divng with Nurseshark is always exciting as well. Unfortunatelly we could not meet Whale shark this time. But only god knows it. The boat has much space than other boats (for both of public space and private cabin), and everyting was kept so clean by organized staffs. I feel it is a kind of tranquil boat, can recommend for older person than younger person who loves party.

Amazing experience
We were incredibly impressed by the setup on this liveaboard. The dive boat is spacious and supports 20 people comfortably. We were part of a dive group of 5 and the smallest on our boat was 4 and most was 6. They have 11.5L, 13.5L tanks (free) and 15L for those who need it at a premium. The gear provided was well maintained. Our standard room was spacious and clean with a good en suite. The communal areas of the boat are also spacious and there was coffee and snacks available at all times. Food was great and they even regularly caught fresh fish off the edge of the boat which was eaten the same day for dinner. This was my first, however, my colleagues said how this would spoil future liveaboards. I definitely recommend this option. For transparency, we got in early and paid around $2100 and found it to be good value for money.

Wonderful experience
Due to COVID there were much less boats and other tourist. One one hand this was great, on the other hand also sad for all people depending on tourism. However, the crew and dive masters made this experience an unforgettable experience for me. As end of September is basically off season and the weather was not so good at the beginning they did their upmost to try showing all guest beautiful dive sites and encounters with big and small stuff. Job very well done! The probably most important staff: Chef and kitchen, were amazing as well. Hope to be again on another cruise with Carpe Vita soon!!

I can absolutely recommend Carpe Vita - just some minor steps to perfection
The trip(s) with Carpe Vita was/were great! Diving was amazing and the crew did a really good job! The boat is not the most modern one, but the crew keeps it nice and clean anytime and the rooms are really spacious for a liveaboard! The food was AMAZING!!! Everyday, every time! Nevertheless it would be great if they would encourage people to save the environment and would feedback people who forget their good manners under water. (We had some divers who touched wale sharks and corals frequently and more than just “accidentally”. It would have been great if the guides would have reminded them to show more respect to the nature.) Also the general boat briefing could have been more informativ and “intense” to avoid any misunderstandings and -ideally- check expectations and maybe adjust the schedule slightly to the visitors interests. Personally, I did hope for some night dives but there were none. (One sunset dive in two weeks) Staff onboard is super proactive, friendly and supportive no matter what problem you might have. All in all it was an amazing time!!! Thank you Carpe Vita Team!

Fantastic long trip
We have never been on a liveaboard for 10night, but would have stayed another 10 without hestitating right away. The boat is very spacious, superclean and with several decks both with shadow and sun. The large dive dhoni is really a plus and it felt never crowded although we were 19 divers (of max 20) split in 3 groups with 3 dive guides. Only negative thing were the huge rental jackets .... never seen such a massive jacket in small. The food was very good. We have never seen such a variety of fruits on any breakfast buffet in resorts. The crew took very good care. It was great to have an excellent creative bar keeper on board who served fantastic cocktails with fresh ingredients from the kitchen at sunset. Many great dives that thrilled even experienced divers with 1000+ dives on board. The long trip is absolutely recommended and we were much more relaxed than after the typical 8 day trips.

Very comfortable boat and experienced dive guides
The cabins are huge and very comfortable. There's lot of space around the boat, except for the outdoor dining area which is really cramped. Food is fine though breakfast options are rather limited but the fresh fruits were plentiful and delicious. The curries were really yummy. Dessert is fresh fruit and ice cream for lunch. The waiter is a very friendly and kind guy, he worked really hard the whole week, always with a smile. There were three dive guides on board and they did an excellent job underwater. The current was checked every time before we jumped in the water and the area where we jumped well adjusted by the dhoni captain following the dive leader's indications. The dive operation is very safe. They tried really hard to find a whale shark but with no luck : it was not the right monsoon anyway. During our 10-day trip, we hit some really great dive sites full of fish, sometimes with turtles, grey reef sharks, mantas or barracudas. The coral life is not at its best everywhere but there are still some areas well preserved. The amount of fish, on the other hand, is really impressive compared to other dive countries. All in all, another very good trip in the Maldives and for sure, I recommend this boat and hope to come back one day.

The fish life (including many sharks) was fabulous. Swimming through huge shoals of fish from tiddlers to barracudas was wonderful. The corals are not looking too healthy, apparently because of a tsunami has recently smashed them up a bit, but there was little evidence of bleaching where we were so it should bounce back. Areas for improvement The dives are very current dependent. On more than one occasion the plan changed after we were down. Better briefing would mean that this is known in advance and is signaled clearly. We only did three dive days. I know that not everyone wants to do four dives a day, but there should be the option. There was only one proper night dive, which I missed because of ear problems.

Wonderful diving, great crew
Snorkelling with whale sharks and manta rays Downside? Some of the divers, in particular those using fancy cameras, where perpetually banging into the reef. I think this places the dive guides in a very tricky position. Obviously they want to maximise the tips received at the end of the week so they can hardly feel able to criticize their customers. I really think you need to raise awareness of this as a company with clear messages to all divers that unless you have faultless bouyancy do not use a camera!
