The Galaxy Diver is a 29 meter/96 ft long liveaboard offering diving and naturalist itineraries in the Galapagos. Fully renewed in 2022, the Galaxy Diver can accommodate up to 12 guests in 8 spacious and comfortable cabins, all with air-conditioning and en-suite bathrooms. The Galaxy Diver also offers naturalist itineraries. On the upper deck, guests can enjoy the ocean views from their large windows; on the lower deck, there are porthole views.
The Galapagos and famous for their biodiversity and are one of the best places in the world for seeing pelagic species such as tuna, spotted eagle rays, golden rays, and hammerhead sharks. Diving in the Galapagos is a once-in-a-lifetime experience; divers often find themselves surrounded by sharks, whales, manta rays, rays, turtles, penguins, iguanas, sea lions, and much more. Water temperatures fluctuate through the year, usually warmer on the north island and cooler in the western, southern, and central Galapagos islands.

Amazing liveaboard
One of the best liveaboards I have had. The boat is recently refitted, the staff is great and the guides know the dive sites very well. Food is of restaurant quality. The only thing that could be improved is rental gear - it is rather old.

Spectacular pelagic life but better dive safety management needed
First off, the crew above the Galaxy Diver were amazing! The were always friendly and did everything they could to make guests comfortable despite the small space, especially in the dining room. The dive sites are world class. We saw everything: giant schools of hammerheads, Galapagos sharks, whale sharks, sea turtles, stingray, manta rays, schools of eagle rays, mola mola, sea lions, marine iguanas, eels, and flightless cormorants diving for food. We even saw a baby humpback whale breach multiple times from aboard the ship. I will never forget how spectacular the underwater nature of the Galapagos is. The best week of my life!
We saw EVERYTHING! sea lions, white tip sharks, hammerhead sharks, galapagos sharks, whale sharks, eagle rays, HUMPBACK WHALES, ORCAS..... it's been a dream! The boat ride is challenging, I'm almost constantly sea sick but the crew did their best to take care of my needs, and they are amazing!! They took care of diving equipments after every dive so we get to enjoy the most out of it. Also love how chill and happy they are:) The food is amazing too, i did not expect to have good food on the boat but I was impressed! Would absolutely recommend this liveaboard to everyone!

Amazing liveaboard experience
The one week with Galaxy Diver was definitely my best liveaboard experience so far. Besides seeing all the exciting marine animals, the crew is very professional. For instance, no matter how much we drifted away, when we went up to surface, our boat is always within a few meters away. This have made all divers feeling safe in a difficult condition like Galapagos. They are also very friendly and genuine, and they did everything to make our trip a more memorable one, like the little ceremony when we passed the equator and chef's live show of making local dishes and drinks.
