Fun times on the Red Sea
Had a wonderful exploring sunken ships and beautiful reefs on the bottom of the Red Sea. As for my shipmates… I can say it easily as. “We met as strangers and parted as friends”. Something about a shared experience on the ocean and living in close quarters that was endearing to all of the people aboard. A great crew, that was so accommodating and wonderful. What a great way to spend my 49th birthday. I would trade this trip for the world.

Excellent Experience
The diving was definitely a highlight of the trip. The boat was comfortable, however, the lounge area was a bit small. Otherwise, everything on board was excellent, staff friendly and helpful and the food was plentiful. Plenty of fond memories from this trip.

Amazing, if you bring your own gear
I'm vegan and the food was incredible, with the chefs making special dishes just for me. The crew was super fun, and guides were ok - not bad, not extraordinary. The biggest negative point I have is the equipment for rental, especially the (suposedly) 5mm wetsuit: full of holes, with a broken zipper at the ankle and inadequate for the weather conditions. This made the last dives, when the water was at 23°C, never truly enjoyable, and the first ones, when it was 20°C, plain miserable. Hoodies were not available. Finally, they wanted to charge me the absurd rate of 75 USD for the rental of a torch for the 3 night dives, but they only told me about this price when it was time to pay (surprise!) at the end of the week.

Liveaboard left a day late due to engine issues, then when finally left we returned to port after g check dive to refuel (!) so missed some dives. No hot water all week, and double rooms on upper deck
The food was good and the cook was accommodating of allergies. Dives were good although we did miss a few dives due to leaving a day late and then needing to refuel. Dive sites were mostly reefs (although we were on wrecks and reefs itinerary) but I enjoyed diving Thistlegorm and the Barge again.

- The food was good, as was the diving. Guides were also good. However boat is in need of a refurb
Terrible experience
I booked a single cabin with a/c and tv. The a/c in the cabin did not work properly. I ended up sleeping on the deck as the cabin was an oven at night. As a result I had to miss many of the dives (too tired for not getting restful sleep). Even though I did not get at all what I paid for, and the trip was a nightmare as a result, I was not given a refund for it - not even a partial refund. I am currently perusing legal action for commercial fraud. In short, AVOID THIS TRIP.

Rundum toller Trip / all in all a very nice trip
We went from Hurghada to Port Galip. Pro: super friendly and professional crew. Nice dive guides, interesting route which covers many highlights of the red sea. Good combination of wreck diving and high quality reef diving and bigger stuff like sharks, turtles etc. f.e. at big brother. Clean boat. Contra: rental equipment and especially courses are pretty expensive. Paid for the nitrox certificate 215 €. Which is basically watching a movie and reading a short book. AOWD was around 350$ if I remember correctly. So I would recommend doing stuff like that in advance. There was no real check dive. The check dive was only to check your own equipment. The boat is a little older, but that was okay for me. 2 zodiacs were used if we couldn't do a simple boat to boat dive. Which we did most of the times. As many dive sites are deeper, especially the wrecks, I would strongly recommend having at least the AOWD certification.
