The boat is really nice! The room we did the breifings in was comfortable and the seating area on the upper deck was very cozy. Eating meals was in a nice sized room and the food was just great. My cabin was comfortable and clean. Crew was super helpful and the dive guides are just super!

The crew and food were great but the boat is old and we had chemical smells come through the vents which had a few of us coughing throughout the trip.

Marvelous boat, crew and locations
The longest possible trip and we developed excellent comradery and cooperation as divers and crew. With changing weather conditions and diver situations the crew adjusted and we simply as one group had FUN!

Great week diving, thinking to do this again next Christmas!
We had a really great time. Booking this trip with you was easy, upon arrival we were greeted by the Blue o Two staff, brought to the boat and showed our cabins. The boat itself was is great condition, best I have seen so far. The crew members were attentive and helpful. We didn't dive with a guide, so can't comment on that. From the dive briefings though, it was obvious that the dive guides were very familiar with the sights. Food was amazing. Over the week, the maximum dives you could do was 21, with 2 done on the 2nd last day somewhere close to Hurghada. This is useful to know, because if someone would like to fly earlier, it would be possible, as you do arrive Hurghada at 2pm on the 2nd last day. Dives will then have to be planned accordingly. Most of us stayed in Marriott the last night. The pickup to the airport organised by Blue o Two was flawless. Really enjoyed this trip. We loved that the final bills for anything extra needed (beer, rental kit) could be settled with a debit/credit card. Only hiccup is the small dive platform. If the dive guide was a little more stricked with the divers, the plan to split the divers into two groups would work. However, as some were not respecting the schedule, the dive platform would then be full of people preparing for the dive. This perhaps can be changed.

You should do it! Unforgettable!
A lot of corals... hard and softs ones. Sharks, we saw thresher shark, hammerhead and oceanic white tips. The Brothers Island and Elphinstone were perfect! Daedalus disappointed a bit, we spent many dives at the blue with nothing to see. We should have spent 2 days at Brothers. Unforgettable moments!

My first Liveaboard was an amazing experience
The highlights of the trip was definately the diving, experiencing the clear warm waters of the Red Sea was quite an experience. We swam with dolphins and got some great footage as well as Turtles and such pretty colours from numerous fish.

Blue o Two high standard
Blue o Two clearly has high standards. Logistics went smootly and according to plan. The blue melody is a nice boat and offers all the facilities needed to enjoy your trip both in and out of the water. Crew works efficiently, are helpful and nice. Food is excellent and also of high standards. Went on "Best of Wrecks". It's a good choice even you're into reefs, as there's plenty of opportunities to see nice reefs as well. I went on all 20 dives. Only thing, It would have been nice to finish off the trip with a real stunning wreck or dive, but overall the itinerary was a real treat.

Offshore Divespots in Egypt
Deadalus, Brothers and Elphinstone are always worth a trip. Sadly we just did 16 dives instead of the advertised 20, probably due to not being allowed nightdives on the offshore divesites. We were a great mix of people on the boat from 8 different countries, very nice!

Good trip overall, def room for improvement
Overall, the Red Sea never disappoints, it’s hard to screw it up. Liveaboards generally attract great people passionate about diving. With that said, I wasn’t impressed with Blue O Two operations and the dive guides. First, there was a good amount of miscommunication that was blamed on Liveaboard.com - but I booked with this site before and no such thing happened. Second, the dive guides / cruise director we’re only doing an ok job - not bad, but not great either - of planning the trip. I did this itinerary before with a different company and it was significantly better organized, with more and better dives. The boat crew definitely cared about our experience more than the guides themselves. There are also a lot of small things that need to be improved that all together contribute to the ok experience: dive guides never pro-actively help you, towels aren’t tagged causing constant confusion, bathroom floors are constantly wet and therefore it’s slippery, etc. I think this trip could have been significantly better and I have experienced better - so I won’t be using Blue O Two in the future and will explore other operations.
