Good value for money, great food
We were moved to the Amelia's sister boat, Samira, though from what I can tell the crew and the boats are nearly identical. The crew is very friendly and the boat is clean, if a bit sparse. For this price point the dive safari met my expectations, with safe diving and a friendly crew. The food exceeded expectations; mostly western fare but produced with care and enough variety throughout the week. The dive deck was a bit cramped with a full boat and there are no showers for rinsing off after diving. Only real complaint was that our dive group (there were two divemasters and guests were roughly divided between them based on experience), including a few newer divers, had our dives managed a bit too closely by the dive staff for my liking. I understand being concerned with safety but having my air checked five times a dive and being encouraged to stay unnecessarily close with the rest of the group made some dives feel rushed or forced. Overall good value for money though, and a friendly boat crew.

Great experience
Very worthy to experience for seeing various fishes, many sharks, turtles and many more. Very nive crew and guides dive. Perfect week of diving.

Some sharks in the water and very nice staff on the boat
Good food and great guide (crew in general funny and attentive).

I thoroughly enjoyed my week on the the Amelia.
We were very lucky during our dive on the south side of Elphinstone. Sharks and Dolpins in one dive. This more than made up for the north side and some of the other relatively mundane dive sites. In general if you like diving on reefs with coral gardens / pinnacles or through cave systems that are open to light above then this is the trip for you. The deep south tour is not something you should take if you are more interested in just seeing some sharks.

A great dive trip, in a very small cabin
The Deep South tour was wonderful for me, because after some nasty experiences with sharks in the north, I prefer the lovely southern reefs. The dive and boat crew were very good and always helpful, the international guests made it interesting, but the cabins were very small with limited storage and no separate shower in the bathroom, so everything would get wet. I had a cabin to myself, so it was not so bad, and I mostly showered on deck when possible, but it would have been very uncomfortable with a 2 people in the cabin, especially 2 strangers. The ship was small and already crowded although we were only 14 people. With a full ship, it would have been hard to find seating in the shade on deck. The food was plentiful, but not outstanding, and deserts were luckily not very appealing. All in all a good week, but I found the ship a bit small and uncomfortable for the price.

- The staff, the diving, the timing
Certainly not the best
Very few highlights as each dive site was so crowded with other divers. The highlight was leaving the boat and flying home. Food was mediocre as was service. Numerous times my cylinders were underfilled and constant having to ask for toilet paper for the cabin. Many inexperienced divers leading to a very unpleasant dive experience with them constantly coming back in floods of tears. This is my 3rd live aboard on the red sea and my last.

Bad weather so only boring spots. Crew was great.
There was strong wind so we were not able to go to deadalus or elphinstone (main reason for all guests to book this tour) we ended up only diving at similar reefs near the shore which was ver disappointing. The crew and the guides were great, the food was good so under different circumstances it would have been a good trip.

- Great guides, very nice and helpful crew, boat was nice as well.
Good memories
Beautiful diving spots except the last one (if you need to skip it for your flight, it is no problem, it is close to harbor with no visibility and no fishes) ! One of the dive master tended to focus the briefings only on danger underwater and this could be a bit stressful especially if you didn't dive for a long time. Take cash money with you because you can not pay fees and extra by card. The first night is in the harbor as well as the last one. If you rent the equipment, it is ok except the torch which didn't work very well.
