De Ghazala Explorer liveaboard in Egypte is een modern 37 meter lang motorjacht dat routes aanbiedt door het hele Rode Zeegebied. Het kan maximaal 24 gasten meenemen in 12 en-suite cabines, bestaande uit 10 twin bed en 2 dubbele bed cabines, inclusief de Junior suite. Ghazala Explorer heeft een ruime, lichte overdekte eet- en loungeruimte waar gasten kunnen genieten van bereide maaltijden of ontspannen met een drankje. Er is een zonnedek met zitplaatsen en zitzakken en ofwel overdekte of open gebieden voor degenen die liever in de zon zitten. Een groot duikdek aan de achterzijde biedt opslagruimte voor duikuitrusting en veel ruimte om zich klaar te maken voor het duiken, en het achterste platform maakt het op- en afstappen van de tenders toegankelijker.
Ghazala Explorer liveaboard biedt duikers een ruime keuze aan routes door de Rode Zee, waaronder favorieten zoals het Thistlegorm wrak, Abu Nuhas, Brothers, Ras Mohammed, Daedalus, Elphinstone, en St. John's. Go ahead and book that trip! Being on the Ghazala Explorer is one amazing liveaboard experience. The boat, the staff, the food, the diving experience and assistance is extraordinary. The boat is immaculately clean, the staff is always smiling and ready to help and the briefings are always entertaining and very informational. Having beach towels and plush terry cloth robes is an amazing touch! ALL THE TOILETS HAVE A BIDET! WOOHOO! But its this huge white doorknob thing close to the base, unlike the "bum guns" you find all over Southeast Asia. (this, to me, is exceptionally important!) The customer service is TOP NOTCH. I cannot ask for anything more - they have been immeasurably assuring and very attentive to all of my questions. The dive guides are amazing and you cannot ask anything more! I think I found the best falafels on this boat, and I have a suspicion everything else I taste will fail in comparison. The experience on the boat is fun and very congenial. The dive guides caught me dancing and singing while diving so eventually they joined in right after safety stops and we had some fun scuba dancing. Though, I'd say I got extremely lucky since I do have the same name as the local beer, so they instantaneously remember my name! Some tips and travel advice: BRING ALL YOUR COMFORT STUFF. Vicks Vaporub/Tiger Balm type of stuff is NOWHERE to be found in Hurghada, and if you do find it, it's not the same smell. There are no Asian stores around and the pharmacies don't carry it. Trust me, I looked. Tampons are not everywhere, so if there's a specific brand you like, bring that with you too. Also, Red Tiger Balm is GOLD around these parts. So if you are carrying them (or something similar) from wherever you are coming from, please bring an extra jar or two for the crew. They will forever remember the amazing gesture! (Diving tip: I massage a little red tiger balm around my ears so i equalize better underwater.)

Wonderful experience
The crew did a great job accommodating special dietary needs. The dive masters were super - very helpful with pointers and advice and we felt they took very good care of us as newbies, especially in the somewhat challenging Red Sea wrecks.

Best boat on the red sea?!
This is our second Liveaboard with Ghazala Explorer and we did not regret it for 1 second. Everyone in our group agreed, this is the best ship on the Red Sea. Rooms were spacious, dive guides were great and funny (I especially enjoyed annoying Achmed), food was amazing, crew was extremely helpful in any way they could, especially helping on and off our diving gear, organisation is spot on, there is really nothing negative I can think of... We will definitely return for a 3th trip with Ghazala Explorer! Dimi & Stefan

Best of the Best in all aspects
Crew were all amazing and friendly! Helping you with gears before and after dives. They helped us rinse our gear properly after the last dive. It was much appreciated. I love all the meals especially the snacks and juice, always feeling rejuvenated thanks to the nice drinks they made when we came out of the water. Food was very delicious and fresh, with great varieties. Guides were amazing, always taking care of guests and pointing out those marine animals hiding somewhere. Worth every bit to go along with them! Can't recommend enough and I'll be back!

Great diving from an excellent boat
Having been on quite a few liveabords by now I can confidently say this has been the best one so far. The ship's general layout is the same as most liveaboard boats in the red sea, but the attention to detail and many thoughtful details really made a difference (plenty of charging outlets, plenty of drying space etc.). The crew has been amazing - extremely professional and always there to help with absolutely anything about your diving day to an extent that even seemed funny at times - like it's okay, I can grab my water bottle myself, but thank you for handing it to me ;). The same goes for the two dive guides - extremely experienced, they could probably navigate through the dive sites with their eyes closed and made sure to point out all the details that were easy to miss. At the same time, they gave the most thorough briefings I have ever encountered and made safety a top priority I particularly loved how the team was able to accomodate a request for an uncommon dive site during the trip. The food has been very tasty, varied and plentiful, but to be fair, this goes for every liveaboard I have been on ;). So thanks a lot guys, I will certainly try to book this boat in particular for future red sea trips.
