Le MV Sea Hunter est un bateau de croisière construit sur mesure pour offrir toute l'année des expéditions de plongée aux îles Cocos. C'est un bateau incroyablement stable et robuste qui dispose de stabilisateurs en surface pour augmenter la stabilité lorsque le bateau jette l'ancre. Le M/V Sea Hunter dispose de 8 cabines standard situées sur le pont inférieur, avec lit double ou lits jumeaux, climatisation, salle de bain et moquette. Sur le pont supérieur se trouvent 2 suites à lit double avec vues panoramiques, salle de bain, climatisation, moquette et toiles de Carlos Hiller.
Les espaces communs à bord du MV Sea Hunter incluent un salon équipé de chaises, bancs rembourrés, DVD, vidéos, jeux et plus, ainsi qu'un mini-bar. Le restaurant possède 5 box pour 4 personnes disposés en deux rangées. Un menu de cuisine locale costaricaine et américaine y est servi, y compris des fruits tropicaux, salades, poisson, poulet, bœuf préparé de différentes manières. Les itinéraires du MV Sea Hunter au Costa Rica durent 10 ou 11 nuits et donnent aux plongeurs l'opportunité d'optimiser leur expérience des îles Cocos. En raison de leur isolement, la vie marine y est abondante, et les plongeurs pourront découvrir des requins de récif, des bancs de requins marteaux, dauphins, raies mantas, voiliers et plus. Chaque plongeur a droit à un casier individuel et un espace de rangement, ainsi qu'un casier photo. Le Nitrox est gratuit pour les plongeurs certifiés.

Le Sea Hunter se conforme à des protocoles stricts, et des mesures d'hygiène approfondies ont été mises en place. Hammerheads, Carlos, our Cruise Director, has the patience of a saint. He fixed my faulty equipment onboard the panga twice, immediately before the dives so I did not miss any dives. Deeply appreciated his cool, calm and humourous attitude.

Cocos - a dream destination repeated
This is my 2nd trip to Cocos seeing it was so mindblowing the first time. I was with a different operator last time, and in low season (apparently, but still incredible then as well). I must commend Seahunter for a really top notch operation, well laid out skiffs with room to move about, clean and extremely well kept boat and amazing food (healthy and varied). The lack of 1 star is due only due to rather japanese style hard matresses in some cabins...And I can normally sleep anywhere The crew also genuinly seemed to care we had a good time. Very friendly, engaged and interested. I will definitly return to this operator. Now the diving: hampered by really bad viz first part of the 8 days (This was a 10 day trip), but luckily it picked up. Rainy season really means RAINY, torrential rain throughout. No need for suntan lotion. Amazing big animal encounters, so if you like action diving with current, blue, and big game, this is for you. The island itself is also stunning, and just being so far away from the world, with Jurrasic park scenery, no mobil reception, letting it all hang out in tracky bottoms and watching the birds and the occasional thunderstorms...Well, lets say skip two trips to the Carribean and and save up to do this instead.It will blow your mind! As small end note: Its not easy diving though, so be prepared to be a bit bruised and battered. Very much worth the effort though, whalesharks, hammers a plenty, tigers, schools of trevally so big it must have been in the thousands...marbel rays falling on you from every angle...just magic!

Cocosfeeling mit Wiederholungscharakter
Immer wieder sehr gut organisiertes professionelles Seahunterteam mit hochseetauglichem Boot, perfekter Mannschaft mit guter amerikanischer Küche! Bogenstirnhammerhaie konnten wir bei unserem Trip im Oktober 2017 satt aus der Nähe betrachten! in 2009 konnte ich diese Tiere noch zählen. In 2017 war dies nicht mehr möglich gewesen!!! Tigerhaie zudem auch hautnah erlebt. Ich habe nach Cocos, wo dann eine weitere Malpelloexpedition zeitnah folgte, als Taucher mit mehr als 1000TG in den Weltmeeren nun alles erlebt. Cocostrips mit der Seahunter -die zudem auch ein Stabilisierungssystem- hat und den Wellengang sehr erträglich macht, sind und bleiben für mich ein Highlight was das tauchen betrifft Nicht ganz billig aber für das was geboten wird, seinen Preis wert! mit freundlichen Flossenschlägen Taucher Frank :-)

Best diving on the best boat
Seeing many hammerheads, Galapagos and white tip sharks. Also seeing a tiger shark and a silky shark. The boat was amazing and the crew was the best (Manuel, cruise director is outstanding). Food is best in class !!

Great experience!!
As above, the diving was wonderful. Saw numerous hammerheads both far and close. Saw one whale shark (up close). But in addition to this, the diving was wonderful. Would highly recommend this trip. Only thing that was not up to liveaboard standards was the food. It was acceptable, but not what we would hope for. Divemasters and boat drivers were superb.

A must-do expedition for experienced divers
Fantastic, the crew really go out of their way to make their guests feel special and appreciated. It is extremely expensive, but considering how remote the location is and how comfortable the boat is, it's understandable. Only recommended for hard-core experienced divers as the crossing to Cocos is long and bumpy. I loved every minute of it and was especially surprised how beautiful the cabins are (hand-painted individually). The general comfort level was a lot higher than I had expected and if I could afford it I'd definitely go back again.
