El crucero de buceo MV Sea Hunter fue construido específicamente para ofrecer viajes durante todo el año en la Isla del Coco. Es robusto, estable y cuenta con "estabilizadores de velocidad cero" que ayudan a tener menos movimiento en las aguas costarricenses. Las 8 cabinas estándar en la cubierta inferior disponen de baño privado, aire acondicionado, alfombra y pueden tener cama doble o camas gemelas. En la cubierta superior hay 2 suites dobles con vista panorámica, baño privado, aire acondicionado, alfombra y obras de arte de Carlos Hiller.
Las zonas comunes a bordo incluyen un salón equipado con sillas, espacios acolchados para sentarse, DVD, videojuegos, minibar y mucho más. En el comedor se sirve la comida deliciosa que combina sabores americanos y locales e incluye frutas tropicales frescas, ensaladas, pescado, pollo y carne de res. También hay un estudio con un ambiente relajado, una biblioteca amplia y una suite de edición de vídeo y fotografía digital.
Los itinerarios en Costa Rica del MV Sea Hunter tienen una duración de 10 u 11 noches y ofrecen a los buceadores la oportunidad de experimentar al máximo la Isla del Coco. Debido a la ubicación remota de la isla, la vida marina es abundante y se pueden observar tiburones de arrecife de punta blanca, bancos de tiburones martillo, delfines, mantarrayas, peces vela y mucho más. Las instalaciones de buceo de la embarcación han sido diseñadas para garantizar confort y cada buceador dispone de almacenamiento individual, de espacio para guardar su equipo de buceo y de un locker para cámaras fotográficas. También hay nitrox gratuito disponible para aquellos certificados.

El Sea Hunter está siguiendo protocolos estrictos de bioseguridad, ha puesto en marcha mejores medidas de saneamiento y el resultado de las pruebas de COVID-19 de toda su tripulación debe ser negativo antes de salir. Las cabinas de los huéspedes se limpian y desinfectan meticulosamente a diario con un sistema de triple control de limpieza y saneamiento. La embarcación requiere que los huéspedes presenten un test de COVID negativo antes de abordar el barco.

Hammerheads, Carlos, our Cruise Director, has the patience of a saint. He fixed my faulty equipment onboard the panga twice, immediately before the dives so I did not miss any dives. Deeply appreciated his cool, calm and humourous attitude.

Cocos - a dream destination repeated
This is my 2nd trip to Cocos seeing it was so mindblowing the first time. I was with a different operator last time, and in low season (apparently, but still incredible then as well). I must commend Seahunter for a really top notch operation, well laid out skiffs with room to move about, clean and extremely well kept boat and amazing food (healthy and varied). The lack of 1 star is due only due to rather japanese style hard matresses in some cabins...And I can normally sleep anywhere The crew also genuinly seemed to care we had a good time. Very friendly, engaged and interested. I will definitly return to this operator. Now the diving: hampered by really bad viz first part of the 8 days (This was a 10 day trip), but luckily it picked up. Rainy season really means RAINY, torrential rain throughout. No need for suntan lotion. Amazing big animal encounters, so if you like action diving with current, blue, and big game, this is for you. The island itself is also stunning, and just being so far away from the world, with Jurrasic park scenery, no mobil reception, letting it all hang out in tracky bottoms and watching the birds and the occasional thunderstorms...Well, lets say skip two trips to the Carribean and and save up to do this instead.It will blow your mind! As small end note: Its not easy diving though, so be prepared to be a bit bruised and battered. Very much worth the effort though, whalesharks, hammers a plenty, tigers, schools of trevally so big it must have been in the thousands...marbel rays falling on you from every angle...just magic!

Cocosfeeling mit Wiederholungscharakter
Immer wieder sehr gut organisiertes professionelles Seahunterteam mit hochseetauglichem Boot, perfekter Mannschaft mit guter amerikanischer Küche! Bogenstirnhammerhaie konnten wir bei unserem Trip im Oktober 2017 satt aus der Nähe betrachten! in 2009 konnte ich diese Tiere noch zählen. In 2017 war dies nicht mehr möglich gewesen!!! Tigerhaie zudem auch hautnah erlebt. Ich habe nach Cocos, wo dann eine weitere Malpelloexpedition zeitnah folgte, als Taucher mit mehr als 1000TG in den Weltmeeren nun alles erlebt. Cocostrips mit der Seahunter -die zudem auch ein Stabilisierungssystem- hat und den Wellengang sehr erträglich macht, sind und bleiben für mich ein Highlight was das tauchen betrifft Nicht ganz billig aber für das was geboten wird, seinen Preis wert! mit freundlichen Flossenschlägen Taucher Frank :-)

Best diving on the best boat
Seeing many hammerheads, Galapagos and white tip sharks. Also seeing a tiger shark and a silky shark. The boat was amazing and the crew was the best (Manuel, cruise director is outstanding). Food is best in class !!

Great experience!!
As above, the diving was wonderful. Saw numerous hammerheads both far and close. Saw one whale shark (up close). But in addition to this, the diving was wonderful. Would highly recommend this trip. Only thing that was not up to liveaboard standards was the food. It was acceptable, but not what we would hope for. Divemasters and boat drivers were superb.

A must-do expedition for experienced divers
Fantastic, the crew really go out of their way to make their guests feel special and appreciated. It is extremely expensive, but considering how remote the location is and how comfortable the boat is, it's understandable. Only recommended for hard-core experienced divers as the crossing to Cocos is long and bumpy. I loved every minute of it and was especially surprised how beautiful the cabins are (hand-painted individually). The general comfort level was a lot higher than I had expected and if I could afford it I'd definitely go back again.
