This was a great experience diving.

I did my advanced open water certification. Living on board the boat was excellent. The marine life was fantastic. I really enjoyed the night dives and seeing different things.Apo Reef was so beautiful. I did a total of 15 dives. The last 2 days was spent on ship wrecks. The crew explained the history of the ships.

Recomendado para
Excellent food, care and hospitality of crew.

Perfect Liveaboard Trip

From the start of the liveaboard to the dives to the food, the liveaboard is a dream. The crew was super nice and always ready to help and provide information. The boat is simple but I personally found the liveaboard perfect for the Apo Reef. The food was very tasty and after every dive the chef conjured up something for the divers. All in all, I can recommend the liveaboard.

The Apo Reef is an incredible diving spot and the boat and crew were just amazing.

Food poisoning nightmare

Agos was my 3rd liveaboard experience and easily the worst. I’ve done a low budget liveaboard in Indonesia and a nicer one in Galapagos that were amazing experiences. But Agos was terrible . 8 out of 10 guests got food poisoning . I was one of them. From day 2 I was vomiting and going to the toilet many times a day. I barely ate for the next 3 or 4 days. This was the experience for 5 guests and 3 guests only had a bit of vomiting and diarrhea. I missed half the dives because I was too sick to dive. On one of the dives I did do, I vomited a few times under water…not fun . The hygiene on the boat was terrible., No soap or cleanser in the toilet . I am pretty sure the toilet was never cleaned. No cleanser on the food table. It was generally a dirty boat in the sleeping area. We are pretty sure it was the food as none of the crew got sick - they were eating different food to us. The owner of the boat did not apologize and kept on trying to blame the water , he even tried to blame the sea water? He eventually promised a refund of the missed dives but this never happened… he stopped responding and disappeared without giving anyone a refund. Fortunately Liveaboard were great and gave us some credits to compensate us. I would stay away from Agos, I only had 2 weeks in the Philippines and I was still a little sick when I got home to Australia. It ruined my whole holiday

Floating Zest Pool. Food Poisoning for 80% of Guests.

I’ve been diving and travelling for nearly 30 years and never had an experience this bad!!! If you want basic hygiene, this is not the boat for you. Hygiene doesn’t exist on this boat which is probably why 8 out the 10 guests were sick from food poisoning, many violently ill. I was food poisoned on the second day and was ill for over 2 weeks. The boat is a “Zest Pool”. Just because you’re a budget operation, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be clean. Below are my experiences and opinions: Poor Hygiene: • Kitchen hand was thrown in the water by other staff for not showering for 3 days. • Saw chef blow his nose on another staff members shirt that was hanging up and walked straight into the kitchen and started working with food without washing hands. • There was nowhere to wash hands or brush teeth. No sink anywhere on the boat except the kitchen where the food is handled. • Nowhere to have a real shower. Only on the side of the boat outside the kitchen window (no privacy or naked showers). I found people just ended up not showering which got a little smelly towards the end especially in the heat and humidity. • Toilets are old and dirty. Also, on a slope so very slippery when wet. I fell over several times and was very lucky not to smash my head open. Very dangerous. • Nowhere to wash your hands in the toilet, so everyone wipes their bum and touches all the doors and surfaces without washing. Boat Facilities: • Air compressor filing the tanks looks very old and dodgy. Looks like it’s been retro fitted or they made it themselves and not a real air compressor for scuba diving (in my opinion). I worry about the quality of air filling the tanks could get contaminated. • Mattresses look very old and dirty under the bed sheets. Disgusting actually. • Power on the boat only runs for 18 hours. So, there are times during the night the fans in the room turn off and you wake up in a hot and sweaty sauna. • Not really many places to hide from the sun. Very small cover on the top deck where only a couple of people can lay down, otherwise you have to lay in the hot room with poor circulation or sit in the dinning area. Very uncomfortable. Food & Beverages: • Got food poisoning on the 2nd day of the trip so I can’t recommend eating on the boat. Owners tried to say it was the water not the food. But I believe it was the food as guests started getting sick a few hours after lunch before dinner, the staff where eating different food and they didn’t get sick, and the boat hygiene was so poor it was most likely the cause. • There were no colds drinks or ice served on the boat for the whole 4 days. So we were drinking water that was room temperature (34 degrees Celsius). o If you’re dehydrating from vomiting and Diarrhoea in 34 degree heat and 75% humidity, it’s hell on earth as your can’t cool down. The Management: • Owners and management didn’t really care everyone got sick and did not want to refund anyone. When we mentioned you might get some negative reviews, they commented “we don’t care, you can’t please everyone”. Showing that these guys don’t care about there divers, just profit. Promised a refund of an agreed amount to be paid that week. But then the owners disappeared and stop responding to calls and emails once I left Coron. It wasn’t until Liveaboard.com started pushing them that I got only a proportion of that back 3 months later. (Fortunately Liveaboard.com came to the party and also gave me a credit for my next Liveaboard.com trip which I am grateful to them for.) These aren’t the operators you want to be dealing with if there is a problem. I’m not sure if the other guests got anything back from the operators. People were trying to vomit before they went for the dive so they wouldn’t be sick underwater and didn’t want to miss the dive. The operators would only compensate if they missed dives. Terrible policy. • When I was sick, the manager took me to a medical clinic for tests as I was very ill. Turns out he is part owner
